The article aims to present basic theoretical problems connected with studying folklore in the secondary stage of Bulgarian schools. The first part offers a brief diachronic review of the theoretical paradigm of Bulgarian folklore research, presenting the transition from the narrow philological understanding of folklore as “national poetic creativity” towards its wide sociological interpretation as “a type of creative culture”. In the second part of the article two curricula for the fifth grade, in which folklore is a key component, are analysed and compared – the one from 2007/2010 academic years and the current one, implemented since 2016/2017. The main goal of this part is to demonstrate how and how much the Literature curricula offer an opportunity for studying folklore in alignment with current theoretical stipulations in Bulgarian folklore research.

The low interest of students in Indonesian language subject caused the majority of the students to be less enthusiastic about the lessons delivered by the teacher, so that students’ learning outcomes were low. The purpose of this study was to increase students’ interest and learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects through direct learning for 5th grade students in SDN 3 Karangraja. The subjects of this study were the fifth-grade students of SDN 3 Karangraja, with the total of 25 students. This research was conducted for two cycles. The results showed that in each cycle there was a progress that was proven with the result in the first cycle, the students’ interest reached 13 students (52.00%) in learning and students who passed the learning through the improvement in cycle I were only 13 students (52.0%). In the second cycle improvement, there was an increase in interest of 23 students (92.00%). Thus, the learning outcomes of students were increasing with the number of 23 students (92.0%) passed the subject. This result proved that through the direct learning method students could solve their own problems in Indonesian language subject.

Higher education is the last phase of the academic learning process, that is, the one that comes after the secondary stage. It is provided at universities, colleges or technical training academies. The education offered by higher education is at the professional level. The objective of the study was to analyze the management of Higher Education in the country and to describe the main activities of the institutions linked to these activities. The main results indicate that three institutions are the protagonists in management. The Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT), the Council for Quality Assurance in Education (CACES) and the Council of Higher Education (CES). Higher education is one of the main drivers of societal evolution. Investing in education is vital to ensure a prosperous and competitive socioeconomic system. Higher education has a high responsibility to society: they are responsible for preparing the professionals of the future.

From a study of the phenomena of the primary infection on the one hand, and the phenomena of local spread, or dissemination, on the other, it is seen that a multiplicity of lesions develops in the testicle and scrotum of the rabbit which have much the same characteristics irrespective of their origin. Some of these lesions are clearly recognizable as primary lesions or parts of a primary reaction to infection, while others are just as clearly the results of dissemination of the virus from a primary focus of infection or correspond with lesions which are commonly spoken of as secondary lesions. The effort to draw a sharp line of distinction between these two groups of lesions or between a primary and a secondary stage of infection in the rabbit, however, would be largely an arbitrary procedure. The fact is that the tissues of the scrotum and testicle of the rabbit constitute favorable surroundings for the localization and development of pallidum infections. Under ordinary circumstances, a large part of the reaction to infection which expresses itself in the formation of lesions recognizable by ordinary methods of examination takes place in these tissues. These lesions present certain broad and general characteristics without regard to whether they are primary or secondary in origin; the reaction is merely a reaction to a syphilitic infection which in either case may assume the most diverse character. Further, it would appear that in rabbits infected with such strains of Treponema pallidum as we have used, the virus is never confined to the area occupied by the so called primary lesion, or chancre, but always spreads and always gives rise to a regional adenopathy. There may be no lesions to indicate the progress of this dissemination, but an examination of the inguinal nodes shows that dissemination occurs very soon after inoculation, and a pallidum reaction may be detected in these glands even before infection can be recognized in the scrotum. Subsequently lesions develop in all parts of the scrotum and testicle, sometimes involving the entire testicle or scrotum, and at others, forming focalized lesions with an especial predilection for certain locations such as the epididymis, the mediastinum testis, the tunics, and the dorsal folds of the scrotum. In some instances, more or less continuous lesions form along the course of the perivascular lymphatics, suggesting that this is one path taken in the dissemination of the organism. It is probable, however, that lesions of a gross character develop more as a result of accumulation of spirochetes than of mere invasion of the lymphatics since they are not a constant accompaniment of the local infection, while invasion of the lymphatics and extension of the infection to the regional lymph nodes occur in all cases.

Using third-, fourth- and fifth-grade disadvantaged pupils, the investigator sought to test the null hypotheses that children would not demonstrate uniformity of interest across a three grade span or by selected groups, and that children would not reflect common interests in picture selection of most and least preferred interest categories. In testing the hypotheses an instrument was designed, similar in some respects to the one developed by Koplyay and Ford, in which the subjects expressed their reading preference by ranking stimuli pictures in order of preferences. A free choice selection does seem to be an indicator of interest; however, the procedure does not appear to possess the reliability necessary to warrant its use as a broad research tool. Synthesizing the findings of this study and others concerning reading preferences, the conclusion was drawn that childrens' reading preferences have not been definitively established, nor have reliable instruments been developed.

In learning, students often face social problems and the teacher does not try to solve the problems through the implementation of learning approach. Therefore, a learning approach that is able to develop social relationship needs to be created to make the learning more enjoyable. Learning in the setting of “teacher directed” or the one which combines the learning environment called “self-directed”. Thus, inquiry model which specifically used in this research called social inquiry is expected to be able to make the teacher know the learning problem in Civics subject and then take steps to solve it. Based on the result of the research, it was known that there was an improvement in terms of quality in the activities and learning outcomes on the fifth grade students at SDN Karangsemanding 02 Balung district, Jember regency in 2018/2019 academic year. There was a considerable raise in the graphic. The classical achievement in pre-cycle which was 58.6% increased to 82.75% in cycle I and 96.55% in cycle II. General consensus exists in the psychological literature with regard to what constitutes child sexual abuse (CSA) and the negative implications for victims of CSA throughout the course of their lives. Recently, different types of cognitive strategies that victims may use to cope with CSA and the possible effects of these coping strategies on memory have received considerable empirical attention. The first aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the current literature about why, how, and when victims of CSA use the cognitive coping strategies of false denial, disclosure, and recantation to cope with psychological, emotional, and even interpersonal implications of their abuse. Over the years, disclosure is the one strategy that has been researched extensively, whereas research on false denial and recantation has barely just begun. The second aim is to provide a recent overview of the relationship between coping strategies and memory in the context of CSA. Specifically, we will discuss how false denials may have the potential to negatively affect a victim’s memory. Finally, we present an argument for the need to undertake research into insufficiently examined coping strategies such as false denial and recantation.
