Sociolinguistics has a lot of aspects that can be researched. One of the aspects is slang. Slang is vocabulary that is used between people who belong to the same social group and who know each other well. Slang is very informal language. This research mainly discussed about slang in Geek Charming Movie. The purpose of this study is to identify the slangs and to describe the types of slang used in Geek Charming Movie. This study is limited to the main characters in the movie, they are Dylan Schoenfield and Josh Rosen. The writer used descriptive qualitative method by using Bodgan and Biklen J (1992) theory, which consists of four steps: unitization, categorization, explanation, and interpretation. After analizing the data, it is found out that there are three types of slang used by Dylan Schoenfield and Josh Rosen in Geek Charming Movie. The types of slang are public house slang, society slang, slang in public school and university. Those are types of slang according to Eric Partridge (1950). It is important to study slang because the result of this research can be used for further research and help readers to get more knowledge about slang.

The purpose of this study was to determine the type of use of slang language. The types of slangs were analyzed from “The Duff” movie. Theories used in this research were Paltridge (2004) about the types of slang language and Yanhong (2013) about the functions of slang. This study was conducted by using a descriptive qualitative method. The data was from a movie entitled “The Duff” in the year of 2015 with genre of teen or comedy. After conducting the analysis, this study showed that there were six slang languages from eleven type of slang language. They were society, cockney, workmen’s, public school and university, public house, and theater. Society was found as the most dominant slang language with society with 41 data (54,6%), public house with 20 data (26,6%), workmen’s with 6 data (8 %), cockney with 5 data (6,6%), theater with 2 data(2,6%), and public school and university with 1 data (1,3%). Finally, the researcher hopes that this study will be useful for the future improvement of studying literature, especially about slang language

This study aims at classifying and finding out the meanings of slang words and/or phrases found in Mean Girls film. Every slang word or phrase from the film was classified into their types by using Eric Partridge’s theory (1954). This is a descriptive qualitative method conducted by portraying the possible meanings and the types of slang words or phrases found in the dialogues of the film. Several slang dictionaries and other related references were used to support this study. This study found that there are several types of slang words found in the film. They are: Public-house Slang, Society Slang, Public School and University and The Church..

Food safety socialization has been done by BPOM-RI during 2011-2015. This activity was held by Directorate General of Surveilance and food safety. This activity were includes and mass comic distributions of food safety to public school at Johar Baru District. The aims of this research are: (1) to analyzue the adoption and innovation stage of this socialization program; (2) to idenify the behavioral impact of communicant after the socialization program. This research is using a descriptive qualitative method, with interactive data anaysis by having soome deep interviews with some institutions such as teachers, students, and afetaria vendors in both SDN Johar Baru 29 Pagi, Jakarta and SDN Johar Baru 09 Pagi Jakarta during January-Macrch 2018. Based on this reserach regarding to adoption and innovation process of food safety socialization by BPOM-RI, we can conclude that interpersonal communication is more affectve than using mass comic production. The indicators are includes kognitive, affective or bahavioral (conative) to teachers, students and caferia vendors in some public schools in both SDN Johar Baru 29 pagi Jakarta and SDN Johar Baru 09 Pagi Jakarta. The paper entitled “An Analysis of Slang Words in Song Lyrics Used in the Songs “That’s What I Like”, “Smoke On The Water”, and “Ch-Check It Out”. This study concern with the analysis of slang words in the Songs “That’s What I Like”, “Smoke On The Water”, and “Ch-Check It Out”. There are three statement problems (1) What are the types of slang words used in the song? (2) What is the meaning of slang words in the three sample that are in the lyric? (3) What is dominant type of slang words of three song lyrics? The data of this study were collected from three song lyrics in different genres: pop, rock, and rap song. Documentation method was used to collect the data and qualitative method was used to describe the types of slang words, the meaning of slang word, and dominant types of slang words that used in three song lyrics. The writer used theory of the types slang by Patridge (2004:204) and the meaning of the slang word used theory by Geoffrey Leech (1974).There are six types of slang words which are found in this study such as four slang words in publicity, four slang in public School and University, twenty one slang words in society, three slang in theatre, one soldier’s slang, and one public house slang. Then, there are six  meanings of slang word are found by the writer: seven in collocative meaning, six in conceptual meaning, five in stylistic meaning, three in connotative meaning, six in reflected meaning and four in affective meaning. From the analysis that were found that society slang and collocative meaning mostly found and used in there song lyrics.

Language is a means or tool of communication. People have used language as the most common way to communicate with each other. Language is a system of arbitrary vocal symbols by means of which a social group cooperates. When people used language, they bound between one and another, called meaning. The meaning itself sometimes can be interpreted by other people easily, while some of them are not. Metaphorical meaning is the hidden meaning in some literary works, such as song, poem, poetry, and drama, that be able to give a new perspective to the readers or listeners. This research analyse the metaphorical meaning in some of BTS’s song, and its relation to the people who listen to their songs. The objective of this research is to analyze metaphorical entailment in BTS‘s song lyrics through a semantic perspective, and how the metaphorical meaning in BTS’s song in giving new hope to the listener. This research is a Qualitative, specifically descriptive qualitative method. There were two kinds of data in this research to support in analyzing process; the BTS’s song lyrics and interview session. The BTS’s song lyric was from the website, and an interview session was done by two correspondents that passed the criteria.

This research is making use of descriptive qualitative method. The data are collected with the method of Sudaryanto (1993) that is listening and interviewing method, make use the technique of free listening and interviewing with a list of questionaire. This research makes use the theory of Burning (1970) and Koentjaraningrat (1980) to answer the first problem, and of Spradley (1979) and Casson (1981) to the second one. The result of this research shows that the consanguinal kinship terms are Baba (father), Tou (grandfather), Wos (ego’s father), Galawewe (father of ego’s grandfather), Karekare ( grandfather of Ego’s grandfather), Baay (ego’s mother), Nene (mother’s mother), Nenewos (mother of nene), Nenegalawewe (mother of nenewos), Nenekarekare (mother nenegalawewe). Nikmapin (wife of masculine ego), Nikmon (husband of feminine ego), Tamno (ego’s elder brother),  Thano (ego’s younger brother), Damo 1 (ego’s sister), Damo 2 (ego’s brother), Mtu (ego’s child), Bbu (ego’s grandchild), Bbuwos (child of ego’s grandchild), Bbugalawewe (grandchild of ego’s grandchild), Bbukarekare (buyut dari ego). Afinal kinship terms: Nikmon (husband), Nikmapin (wife), Tafu (brother in-law), Hono (sister in-law), Iho (in-laws), Akmomon (wife’s father), Akmomapin (wife’s mother), Haliha (mother/father in-laws), Kanglolo (elder brother of father or mother), Kangkutu (younger brother of father or mother), Baaylolo (mother’s elder sister), Jojo (mother’s younger sister). The purpose of this study was to determine the cause and effect of communication anxiety between students of the Merdeka Madiun University Class of 2015 with the supervisor when conducting thesis guidance, forms of communication anxiety itself that have been experienced by students of Communication Studies Merdeka Madiun University Class of 2015, anticipatory steps taken by the Communication Sciences Merdeka Madiun University Class of 2015 students, how important is the handling of communication anxiety, data related to communication anxiety among final year students. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Research data obtained through observation techniques, literature studies, interviews, and documentation. The informants came from the 2015 Communication Merdeka Madiun University alumni students. The results of this study are modeling and skill acquisition factors causing the emergence of communication anxiety, the type of communication anxiety perceived by informants is generalized context communication apprehension and situational communication apprehension, the form of communication anxiety perceived by informants is state anxiety, the most anticipatory step recommended by informants is to better understand the thesis material before the guidance and remain calm during the guidance.Keyword: Anxiety, Communication anxiety, Students of the Communication Studies Program Merdeka Madiun University Class of 2015,Thesis Guidance.

Sociolinguistics is the study of language variation and use in society. Interference is the event of the use of language elements of one into the other language elements that occur in the speakers themselves. This research uses descriptive qualitative method because to describe the actual realityin order to obtainan accurateand objective. Qualitative descriptive methods were used to analyzethe elements ofa word orphrase that incorporated elements of other languages with the analysis and description of the formulation of the problem is the answer. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, the determination ofthe object of research, the selection of short stories.Based on the analysis of the data in this study can be found that there are six forms of interference morphology, namely (1) the prefix nasal N-sound, (2) the addition of the suffix, (3) the exchange prefix, (4) exchange suffixes, (5) exchange konfiks, (6) removal affixes. While the syntactic interference only on the words and phrases in a sentence. The results of the study it can be concluded that the interference morphology more common than syntactic interference.

HUMOR AND TASTE OF KHONG GUAN IN JOKO PINURBO’S POEMJoko Pinurbo is one of productive writer. The most interesting part of all works from Jokpin is the humour or jokes he inserted. What makes it interesting there are several poems that he wrote which published in Kompas newspaper on 31st Agustus 2019. There are twelve poems which consists the word Khong Guan in every title: Perjamuan Khong Guan, Hujan Khong Guan, Tidur Khong Guan, Lebaran Khong Guan, Minuman Khong Guan, Sabda Khong Guan, Agama Khong Guan, Keluarga Khong Guan, Mudik Khong Guan, Doa Khong Guan, Bingkisan Khong Guan, dan Hati Khong Guan. Those twelve poems are the subject to this research. The aim of this research is to define how humor was created.  Recent humors are mostly uneducated humor such as insult joke, bullying, and disrespectful. Joko Pinurbo gives alternative in doing humor, through poem. Humor found in the poem is dominated by tragedy humor. Descriptive qualitative method is used in this research. This research found that there are five poems which can be classified as tragedy
