The purpose of this study was to determine the type of use of slang language. The types of slangs were analyzed from “The Duff” movie. Theories used in this research were Paltridge (2004) about the types of slang language and Yanhong (2013) about the functions of slang. This study was conducted by using a descriptive qualitative method. The data was from a movie entitled “The Duff” in the year of 2015 with genre of teen or comedy. After conducting the analysis, this study showed that there were six slang languages from eleven type of slang language. They were society, cockney, workmen’s, public school and university, public house, and theater. Society was found as the most dominant slang language with society with 41 data (54,6%), public house with 20 data (26,6%), workmen’s with 6 data (8 %), cockney with 5 data (6,6%), theater with 2 data(2,6%), and public school and university with 1 data (1,3%). Finally, the researcher hopes that this study will be useful for the future improvement of studying literature, especially about slang language

This study aims at classifying and finding out the meanings of slang words and/or phrases found in Mean Girls film. Every slang word or phrase from the film was classified into their types by using Eric Partridge’s theory (1954). This is a descriptive qualitative method conducted by portraying the possible meanings and the types of slang words or phrases found in the dialogues of the film. Several slang dictionaries and other related references were used to support this study. This study found that there are several types of slang words found in the film. They are: Public-house Slang, Society Slang, Public School and University and The Church..

Sociolinguistics has a lot of aspects that can be researched. One of the aspects is slang. Slang is vocabulary that is used between people who belong to the same social group and who know each other well. Slang is very informal language. This research mainly discussed about slang in Geek Charming Movie. The purpose of this study is to identify the slangs and to describe the types of slang used in Geek Charming Movie. This study is limited to the main characters in the movie, they are Dylan Schoenfield and Josh Rosen. The writer used descriptive qualitative method by using Bodgan and Biklen J (1992) theory, which consists of four steps: unitization, categorization, explanation, and interpretation. After analizing the data, it is found out that there are three types of slang used by Dylan Schoenfield and Josh Rosen in Geek Charming Movie. The types of slang are public house slang, society slang, slang in public school and university. Those are types of slang according to Eric Partridge (1950). It is important to study slang because the result of this research can be used for further research and help readers to get more knowledge about slang.

This study aims to describe 3D printing as a medium of mathematics learning for students in the context of prospective teacher learning in accordance with the increasingly rapid technological development. Consideration in this study is that many teachers find it difficult in learning media both in making and developing learning media. 3D printing is one solution that can be offered by technology in order to solve the problems experienced by teachers. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative method with PGSD students participating in mathematics concentration at the University of Muhammadiyah Sukabumi totalling 20 people. Based on the results of this study, students can operate and print mathematics learning media through 3D printing. In addition to making media for learning, 3D printing also sharpens digital literacy for students to prepare teachers for the future.

The purpose of this study is to combine conceptual work that combines Sundanese culture based on existing philosophy in the community with entrepreneurial characteristics from various entrepreneurial literature, from this research expected tobe carried out by Sundanese philosophy that encourages and improves Sundanese personality to have the functional as an entrepreneur. The research used descriptive qualitative method, with literature based on journals, magazines, and other relevant ones and conducting limited interviews relevant to the purpose of the study, the analysis used descriptive analysis by discussing with Sundanese society. The results of this study reveal the existence of Sundanese philosophy originating from various sources including oral culture related to the type of entrepreneurship, although not directly and explicitly to become an entrepreneur. Nevertheless, for the future the cultural approach as the basis for forming entrepreneurship is very necessary, including Sundanese entrepreneurship that are trained through the approach of philosophy and other teachings of Sundanese culture including Religion and the value of spirituality that can still be practiced by Sundanese people.

This study was focused on determine the types of use slang language style. The types of slangs were analyzed from “Charlie’s Angels” movie. Theories used in this research were Sumarsono (2007) about the types of slang language style and Zhou & Fan (2013) about the functions of slang language. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method.This research is the kind of content analysis study based on the way to do qualitative research. The way to collects the data are; downloading movie, watching movie and downloading movie subtitle. The data were from a movie entitled “Charlie’s Angels” in the year of 2019 with action-comedy genre.After conducting the analysis, this study showed that there were four types of slang language style from six types of slang language. They were clipping, creative, uses the existing words and metaphor. Creative was found as the most dominant types of slang language style in the movie with 10 data (40%), metaphor with 7 data (28%), uses the existing words with 5 data (20%) and clipping with 3 data (12%). Finally, the reseacher hopes that this study will be useful for the future improvement of studying literature, especially about slang language style

Food safety socialization has been done by BPOM-RI during 2011-2015. This activity was held by Directorate General of Surveilance and food safety. This activity were includes and mass comic distributions of food safety to public school at Johar Baru District. The aims of this research are: (1) to analyzue the adoption and innovation stage of this socialization program; (2) to idenify the behavioral impact of communicant after the socialization program. This research is using a descriptive qualitative method, with interactive data anaysis by having soome deep interviews with some institutions such as teachers, students, and afetaria vendors in both SDN Johar Baru 29 Pagi, Jakarta and SDN Johar Baru 09 Pagi Jakarta during January-Macrch 2018. Based on this reserach regarding to adoption and innovation process of food safety socialization by BPOM-RI, we can conclude that interpersonal communication is more affectve than using mass comic production. The indicators are includes kognitive, affective or bahavioral (conative) to teachers, students and caferia vendors in some public schools in both SDN Johar Baru 29 pagi Jakarta and SDN Johar Baru 09 Pagi Jakarta. There are three objects of this study. First to describe by the infrastructure development of Rawasering Highway as an alternative way can give the advantage, worthy, and easily access to Karo Land. Rawasering means Tanjung Morawa- Seribu Dolok- Tongging. This infrastructure development involves in three Districts; they are Deli Serdang District, Simalungun District, and Karo Land District.Second, to strengthen the tourism industry to the world by promotting the tourist objects which are in North Sumatera. Third, to increase the society’s prosperous especially for Economic, Social, and Culture. This research method used in descriptive qualitative method. The data was taken from the internet, informan, government, tourism practitioners, text books, and newspaper.The data analysis is based on the tourism theory.The result of study are: by the infrastructure development of Rawasering Highway as as an alternative way will get the advantage, worthy, and easiness for the Rewasering Highway’s user, increasing of tourism industry by promotting the tourist objects which are in some interesting places because many tourists will visit and it automatically will increase the foreign exchange/ income for our country in the future, and increasing of the society’s prosperous especially for Economic, Social, and Culture.

The paper entitled “An Analysis of Slang Words in Song Lyrics Used in the Songs “That’s What I Like”, “Smoke On The Water”, and “Ch-Check It Out”. This study concern with the analysis of slang words in the Songs “That’s What I Like”, “Smoke On The Water”, and “Ch-Check It Out”. There are three statement problems (1) What are the types of slang words used in the song? (2) What is the meaning of slang words in the three sample that are in the lyric? (3) What is dominant type of slang words of three song lyrics? The data of this study were collected from three song lyrics in different genres: pop, rock, and rap song. Documentation method was used to collect the data and qualitative method was used to describe the types of slang words, the meaning of slang word, and dominant types of slang words that used in three song lyrics. The writer used theory of the types slang by Patridge (2004:204) and the meaning of the slang word used theory by Geoffrey Leech (1974).There are six types of slang words which are found in this study such as four slang words in publicity, four slang in public School and University, twenty one slang words in society, three slang in theatre, one soldier’s slang, and one public house slang. Then, there are six  meanings of slang word are found by the writer: seven in collocative meaning, six in conceptual meaning, five in stylistic meaning, three in connotative meaning, six in reflected meaning and four in affective meaning. From the analysis that were found that society slang and collocative meaning mostly found and used in there song lyrics.

The study is aimed to analyze the English teachers’ perceptions about reflective thinking in SMP N 2 Singaraja. This research conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The participants were four English teachers in SMP N 2 Singaraja. The data collection was done through Google form questionnaire that consists of 20 statements in which have five options in each statement such as Always (5), Often (4), Sometimes (3), Rarely (2), and Never (1). Moreover, the teachers should fill in based on their experiences. The results showed that four teachers were in advanced level of reflective thinking teachers. The results of this study are expected to be a baseline for future improvement of reflective thinking during the online learning. Further study is needed because it is only describing on how teachers perceived themselves as reflective thinking in online learning, although this study needs further study in actual action of reflective thinking.

This article is the result of research conducted aiming to find out the meaning of customary graduation tradition that is still being carried out by Lekuk 50 Tumbi Lempur community until now. This traditional graduation is being held by Depati Nan Sepuluh (The Ten Leaders) to give titles to the sons and daughters of Lekuk 50 Tumbi Lempur community who have already obtained educational degree e.g. bachelor degree, master’s degree, and doctoral degrees. They celebrate this every year on 2 Shawwal or coinciding with Eid al-Fitr at some specified Village Hall. This research uses descriptive qualitative method where data was collected through observation, interview and documentation study. Result shows that series of activity process are being done for the inauguration procession. Bachelor’s degree holders will be confirmed as Cendikionegaro, while Master’s degree holders as Cendikionegaro Pertamo and Post Graduates degree holders/Professors as Cendikionegaro Utama. From the results of this study, it can be seen that the tradition of this customary graduation has a special meaning for the society of Lekuk 50 Tumbi Lempur as a form of appreciation given by The Ten Leaders so that the sons and daughters of Lempur is honoured and proud of their achievements. In addition to the achievements and degrees that they obtained, it was also a form of recognition of their degree in the society. This customary title is expected to motivate the sons and daughters of Lekuk 50 Tumbi Lempur to reach their goals and achieve success in the future.
