Emotions and breathing are closely linked in a complex feedback loop. Understanding this interrelationship between breathing and emotions is critical to better understanding how to deal with anxiety, stress, depression, and emotional disturbances. During emotional attacks and anxious states, the autonomic nervous system triggers physiological variables such as heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, hormonal secretions, palpitations, gastrointestinal functions suddenly increase as a result of which the normal social and behavioral functions of the individual are disturbed. It is generally believed that deep breathing, practiced with various techniques, such as qigong and yoga, can promote relaxation. Source searches were carried out on the online portal of journal publications as many as 10 sources from Medscape, Google Scholar, National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) with the keywords anxiety, relaxation, and deep breathing. Deep breathing relaxation has been shown to be effective in reducing the perception and symptoms of anxiety. Deep breathing offers several advantages over conventional therapies currently used to treat anxiety problems. These advantages include a non-pharmacological approach, safety, minimal space requirements, ease of learning, and ease of practice.

<strong><em></em></strong><em>Menarche is the first menstruation that usually occurs in the age range of 10-16 years or in early adolescence in the middle of puberty before entering reproduction (Proverawati and Misaroh, 2009). Menarche is the first mestruasi blood expenditure, the arrival of menarche can cause positive or negative reactions, a positive reaction if the individual is able to appreciate, understand and accept menarche as a sign of maturity that is owned by a woman otherwise a negative reaction will cause anxiety. Anxiety is a condition where an individual or group experiences anxiety (judgment or opinion) and autonomic nervous system activity in responding to threats that are unclear, non specific. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of anxiety of adolescents facing menarche in  IT Khalisaturrahmi Binjai, mild anxiety level, moderate anxiety level, severe anxiety level. The type of research used is descriptive. The population in this study amounted to 32 respondents. The sample in this study amounted to 24 respondents with consecutive sampling techniques. The results showed that respondents experienced mild anxiety levels of 12 people (50%), 8 people (33%) moderate anxiety and 4 people (17%) with severe anxiety. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the level of anxiety of adolescents facing menarche in IT Middle School Khalisaturrahmi Binjai majority in the category of mild anxiety levels, amounting to 12 respondents or (50%). Abstract The present study investigated the influence of contextual fear in comparison to relaxation on heart period variability (HPV), and analyzed differences in HPV between low and high anxious, nonclinical subjects. Fifty-three women participated in the study. Each subject underwent four experimental conditions (control, fear, relaxation, and a combined fear-relaxation condition), lasting 10 min each. Fear was provoked by an unpredictable aversive human scream. Relaxation should be induced with the aid of verbal instructions. To control for respiratory effects on HPV, breathing was paced at 0.2 Hz using an indirect light source. Besides physiological measures (HPV measures, ECG, respiration, forearm EMG, blood pressure), emotional states (pleasure, arousal, dominance, state anxiety) were assessed by subjects' self-reports. Since relaxation instructions did not have any effect neither on the subjective nor on the physiological variables, the present paper focuses on the comparison of the control and the fear condition. The scream reliably induced changes in both physiological and self-report measures. During the fear condition, subjects reported more arousal and state anxiety as well as less pleasure and dominance. Heart period decreased, while EMG and diastolic blood pressure showed a tendency to increase. HPV remained largely unaltered with the exception of the LF component, which slightly decreased under fear induction. Replicating previous findings, trait anxiety was negatively associated with HPV, but there were no treatment-specific differences between subjects with low and high trait anxiety.

In this paper we describe eBird, a citizen-science project that takes advantage of the human observational capacity to identify birds to species, which is then used to accurately represent patterns of bird occurrences across broad spatial and temporal extents. eBird employs artificial intelligence techniques such as machine learning to improve data quality by taking advantage of the synergies between human computation and mechanical computation. We call this a Human-Computer Learning Network, whose core is an active learning feedback loop between humans and machines that dramatically improves the quality of both, and thereby continually improves the effectiveness of the network as a whole. In this paper we explore how Human-Computer Learning Networks can leverage the contributions of a broad recruitment of human observers and processes their contributed data with Artificial Intelligence algorithms leading to a computational power that far exceeds the sum of the individual parts.

Abstract Background/Aims  The coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is responsible for over 120,000 UK deaths. Those with chronic inflammatory conditions or receiving immunosuppressive medications are at higher risk of COVID-19 than the general population. As a result, rheumatology patients taking b- or ts-DMARDs were advised to shield. We planned to observe COVID-19 related symptoms and anxiety levels reported by rheumatology patients during the pandemic. Methods  From April 2020, 1,004 rheumatology patients from an advanced therapy database were invited to participate in the adult ImmunoCOVID study to collect daily symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath (SOB), sore throat, blocked nose, red-eye, headache, fatigue, joint pain, muscle pain, chills, nausea, diarrhoea and vomiting, loss of senses) and anxiety level using an online portal. Loss of senses were not recorded until week 7 as these were not officially recognized at the pandemic onset. Results  153 patients (rheumatoid arthritis, n = 75, psoriatic arthritis, n = 28, Axial spondyloarthropathy, n = 24, systemic lupus erythematosus, n = 2 and other connective tissue diseases, n = 24) consented and participated. By week 25, 142 patients remained. Among those, 36.57% (±6.09%) (average (±SD)) reported no symptoms over the 25 week period. The main symptoms reported were joint pain (mean=47.94%) followed by fatigue (27.17%). Few patients reported fever (0.94%), cough (8.34%), SOB (4.53%), or loss of senses (1.11%) with more symptoms reported during the first 8 weeks (April/May 2020) and another increase in September/October 2020. The anxiety score (pragmatic 10-point scale) mean (±SD) was 5.60 (±0.34) and remained elevated throughout the study though higher when lockdown began. Conclusion  During the first peak of SARS-CoV-2, the number of patients reporting COVID-19 symptoms appeared high and was associated with high levels of anxiety. As only a small number have been swab-tested, this may suggest that larger numbers of untested individuals have had COVID-19 with mild symptoms. Features of inflammatory rheumatic illnesses may mimic COVID-19 symptoms and create diagnostic difficulty (joint pain and fatigue) whilst anxiety may lead to over-reporting of symptoms in the absence of infection. An increase in blood pressure (BP) occurs during resistance exercise; attention to this response may be necessary in older individuals with hypertension. We compared the BP responses following high- (HSRE) and moderate-speed resistance exercise (MSRE) (4 × 8 repetitions at 60% one-repetition maximum) and control protocol in 15 older adults with hypertension. HSRE and MSRE increased systolic BP (SBP) by the end of each set compared with preexercise and control protocol. Immediately after the fourth set, a higher SBP was observed in MSRE than HSRE (147 ± 14 vs. 141 ± 12 mmHg; p = .01). Taking an exploratory analysis of the individual response, we observed that MSRE resulted in greater mean changes and number of SBP exposures to values ≥150 mmHg (22-fold) than HSRE (10-fold). Diastolic BP increased (p < .05) with exercise, but only MSRE increased compared with the control condition (p < .05). HSRE may be an alternative for individuals in which SBP peak should be avoided.

Objectives: The aim of the study is to evaluate the quality and reliability of videos on manual blood pressure measurement on Youtube. Patients and Methods: In January 2021, the first 100 videos found as a result of a search with the keywords 'manual blood pressure measurement' on Youtube were watched and evaluated. According to exclusion criteria, 75 videos were included in the study. Duplicate videos, irrelevant videos, and videos in languages other than English were excluded from the study. Each video was scored according to the questions prepared based on the guidelines. The GQS score and the 'Reliability' score were used to assess the quality of the videos. Results: According to the checklist prepared according to the hypertension consensus report, the mean score of the videos was 8.33 ± 2.1. When the videos were evaluated according to their sources, the average score of the videos of the health sites was 9±2.5, the average score of the videos of the individual health workers was 8.66±1.8, the average score of the videos of the unidentified people was 7.54±2.1. Conclusion: Manual blood pressure measurement videos on Youtube have little educational value. Videos of health websites should be preferred for education.

When you exercise and your muscles work harder, your body uses more oxygen and produces more carbon dioxide. To cope with this extra demand, your breathing has to increase from about 15 times a minute (12 litres of air) when you are resting, up to about 40–60 times a minute (100 litres of air) during exercise. Your circulation also speeds up to take the oxygen to the muscles so that they can keep moving. Any kind of exertion causes some change in vitals. Some amount of fluctuation in vitals after any kind of exertion occurs in every individual and is considered to be normal. But if there is extreme fluctuation in vitals even after mild or moderate form of exertion, it indicates some kind of abnormality or an increased stress on cardiovascular or respiratory system and needs attention.In any case if the vitals fluctuate during any kind of exertion it needs to be stabilized so that its harmful effects can be avoided. For these breathing exercises have been proven to be very beneficial. There are several types of breathing exercises such as deep breathing, diaphragmatic breathing, pursed lip breathing, etc. The need for the study is to compare the effectiveness of Pursed-Lip Breathing & Diaphragmatic Breathing exercise instabilizing the vitals after 6 MWT in young individuals. The objective of this study is to measure the exertion level of the individual, to assess the effect of pursed lip and diaphragmatic breathing exercises on vitals after exertion and also the comparison of both techniques. In the present study we took 60 subjects from saaii college, Kanpur. Method of data collection is random and study design is comparative study with study duration of 4 weeks. Subjects were divided into two equal groups. The paired samples t-test shows significant changes observed i.e., null hypothesis is rejected and alternate hypothesis is accepted and we observed that significant improvement along with effectiveness of pursed lip breathing on stabilizing vitals in overweight individuals.

Anxiety is an unclear and widespread concern, associated with feelings of uncertainty and helplessness. This state of anxiety and emotion has no specific object but can affect behavior toward parents whose children are hospitalized. Parental anxiety levels are subjective experiences of the individual and can not be directly observed but consequently will affect the anxiety level of the parent. Hospitalization of children is a state of crisis in children, when children are sick and hospitalized, one of them in the febrile seizure disease is a seizure spasm that occurs in the rise in body temperature above 38 ° C this will result in anxiety level of parents increases. Goals: To know the description of anxiety level of parent to hospitalization of child with febrile seizure during child is treated in hospital of Elisabeth Elisabeth Medan. Method: The design used in this study is descriptive to describe the level of anxiety parents to hospitalization of children with febrile seizures during child care at Hospital Santa Elisabeth Medan Year 2017. Result: based on data collection found 10 respondents where 5 (50%) of respondents who experienced anxiety level in medium category and 5 (50%) respondents have low level anxiety level. Conclusion: Based on the research and data analysis that has been done in accordance with the objectives that have been determined can be concluded that all parents who care for their children in the hospital will experience anxiety level that is 5 respondents (50%) with moderate anxiety level, while 5 others (50% Low anxiety levels and high anxiety levels were not found.
