The market of tobacco products in Ukraine is one of the most dynamic and competitive. It develops under the influence of certain factors that cause structural changes, therefore, the aim of the article is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of transformation processes in the market of tobacco and their alternatives in Ukraine and identify the factors that cause them. The high level of tax burden and the proliferation of alternative products with a potentially lower risk to human health, including heating tobacco products and e-cigarettes, are key factors in the market’s transformation process. Their presence leads to an increase in illicit turnover of tobacco products, which accounts for 6.37% of the market, and the gradual replacement of cigarettes with alternative products, which account for 12.95%. The presence on the market of products that are not taxed or taxed at lower rates is one of the reasons for the reduction of excise duty revenues. According to the results of 2019, the planned indicators of revenues were not met by 23.5%. Other reasons for non-fulfillment of excise duty revenues include: declining dynamics of the tobacco products market; reduction in the number of smokers; reorientation of «cheap whites» cigarette flows from Ukraine to neighboring countries; tax avoidance. Prospects for further research are identified, namely the need to develop measures for state regulation and optimization of excise duty taxation of tobacco products and their alternatives, taking into account the risks to public health and increasing demand of illegal products.

The Lean Startup Method (LSM) provides a systematic management of innovation processes within startups and even within well-established companies. Despite its wide use by a lot of innovative companies, this study claims that using the LSM compromises the development of breakthrough and radical innovations and also companies' innovativeness is hindered given that companies usually follow the method and its principles blindly, without fully understanding its advantages and disadvantages. The aim of this study is to make a critical analysis of the LSM with focus on the above two statements and to test the critical findings from the analysis with the help of innovation experts. The methods employed in the study are mainly statistical ones like Pearson correlation, linear regression and statistical mean. The results show that innovation experts generally do agree with the formulated critical points (CPs) in the research but still use the method because they had not been aware of these disadvantages before entering the research as respondents. Another finding is the negative correlation between commercializing breakthrough innovations and using customers in the innovation development process. The contribution of the paper for the readers is mainly related to the impact of customer utilization within the breakthrough innovation development process and how using the LSM might compromise companies' innovativeness in general.

The relevance of the research topic is due to the need to solve the problem of developing conceptual issues of digital transformation management in the context of innovation trends, taking into account the overarching impact and large-scale prospects of digitalization processes. The paper deals with the analysis of the digital aspects of innovation policy, in particular, based on the use of international rankings, the definition of features of building the digital component of innovation networks and the deepening of scientific and methodological approaches to digital support of innovation processes. An overview of modern scientific and methodological approaches to defining the impact of digital transformation on innovation process is presented. Digital transformation can be seen as a factor in access to information and new opportunities that can improve technological capabilities. To assess the impact of digitalization on the development of innovation processes, the data of the Global Innovation Index and the ICT Development Index were used. Based on results of calculations, significant values of the positive correlation with the key components of the innovation system and the level of cluster development were obtained. The study identifies marketing, communication, infrastructural, international dimensions of digitalization of innovation processes. It is shown that the increasing availability of ICTs necessitates a timely rethinking of many processes in the innovation sphere. On the basis of world experience, the role of universities has been substantiated, which should take on a significant part of the responsibility for the formation of a new technological order through improving the quality of researches and their results’ introduction into the real economy within the framework of S2B-B2S networks (Scіence-to-Busіness – Busіness-to-Scіence). As a result of the study, the conclusion is substantiated that an integrated approach to the creation of digital innovation ecosystems requires the study of both institutions and participants, their interaction networks, the specifics of the environment, resources, technologies, etc. It is proposed to consider the role of ICTs in the development of innovation networks on the basis of combining such modern approaches to the development of innovations, in particular – multidisciplinary engineering analysis, system design methodology and parallel engineering methodology. The analysis and deepening of scientific and methodological approaches to the digital support of innovation processes made it possible to identify other promising areas of digitalization of innovation processes, for example, within the framework of the activities of public authorities that ensure the introduction of electronic government technologies.

Objective - Developing self-regulated actors in digital transformation of pre-digital organization is a critical and strategic issue. This article aims to examine and explain the historical development of self-regulated actors from an organizational behaviour perspective. By testing the impact of digital skill individually, digital leadership as group factor, and digital culture and digital mindset as organizational factors on self-regulating actor development, this article will gain insightful understanding in leading digital transformation. Methodology/Technique - This article is based on a cross-sectional study which involved 321 permanent staff or employees of the leading state-owned company in the Indonesian pharmaceutical industry. The collected data is structured and analysis with SmartPLS version 3. 0 as PLS-SEM application. Findings - The analysis results explain that self-regulating actors are influenced by digital skills, digital leadership, and digital culture directly, but are influenced by digital mindset indirectly. Digital mindset of top management teams will impact on self-regulated actor development, if it is directed to strengthen digital culture, then digital culture will impact on digital skills. Novelty - Digital culture impacts self-regulating actor development more directly than digital mind set of top management team in the pre-digital organization. By impacting digital culture, digital mindset of top management will impact self-regulating actor development. Type of Paper: Empirical. JEL Classification: L16, M14.
