The COVID 19 pandemic has made various changes in people's lives, also on Early Childhood Education. The Children hve been affected both directly and indirectly in formal and non-formal education, both education by parents and related institutions. Early Childhood Education and components of the system of education encountered various obstacles related to the implementation of children's activities during social restrictions. Referring to this problem, this Community Partnership Program activity is intended as an effort to anticipate obstacles that occur in Early Childhood Education during the pandemic situation. This Community Partnership Program is implemented through the Psychoeducation Activity Program which focuses on Early Childhood Education. The Psychoeducation Program use an intervention method that can be applied to individuals, families, and groups that focus on educating participants about significant challenges in life, helping participants develop sources of support and social support in facing, and developing coping skills to face these challenges

Purpose: In this study, the effect of the Vojta approach on neck stability and static balance in children with hypotonia was studied. Methods: Seventeen children with hypotonia were randomly divided into the Vojta approach group (n=9) and the general physical therapy group (n=8). Each group was applied intervention for 30 minutes per session, 3 times a week, for a total of 4 weeks. Ultrasonography was used to measure deep neck flexor muscle thickness, craniovertebral angle (CVA) to measure neck alignment along the spine segment, and Balancia software program to measure static balance. Results: In the Vojta approach group, the deep neck flexor muscle thickness was significantly increased (P<0.05), and the CVA was significantly improved (P<0.05). In addition, path area among static balance was significantly improved (P<0.05).Conclusions: The Vojta approach can be suggested as an effective intervention method for improving neck stability and static balance in children with hypotonia.

Transition initiatives offer support for responding to potential environmental inconveniences, such as peak oil and climate change. As an alternative to the dominant approach of shocking people into helplessness and denial, transition towns seek to inform people of the issues and discover appropriate responses. To verify whether transition towns as a movement encourage pro-environmental behaviour change, three case studies (Aro Valley, Lower Hutt, and Nelson) were considered to determine motivations, barriers, and actions in transition town members. Nine face-to-face informal interviews as well as two focus groups were conducted to appreciate participant experiences. A thematic analysis of these case studies was conducted to determine the extent pro-environmental behaviour and encouragement from transition towns was having an effect. The aforementioned objectives were discussed against pertinent literature to determine whether transition towns empowered participants to change to pro-environmental behaviour. Transition towns offer practical behaviour change steps and a supportive social environment which empowers pro-environmental behaviour change and increases individual and community resilience for an uncertain future.

The detrimental impact of childcare institutions (CCIs), or orphanages, is well known. Despite deinstitutionalisation strategies in Uganda, CCIs remain the predominant intervention method employed by Western actors responding to the needs of children there. Reforming this approach requires contextualised critical understandings of the children’s experiences and perspectives of their institutionalisation, to reduce the misidentification and misappropriation of children as orphans. Therefore, operationalising the theoretical lens of Bourdieu within critical hermeneutic analyses, this article draws upon the narratives of 30 children living within an orphanage in Kampala, to enhance critical understandings of their experiences, perspectives, and behaviours throughout transition from home to an orphanage, via the streets of Kampala, illuminating how and why they come to be living there. Guided by Ricœur’s critical hermeneutic approach, the study found that poverty drives children to the streets in search of economic opportunity and organisations perceived to offer access to basic services of which they are deprived, such as education. Education, as a form of cultural capital, is understood amongst participants as ensuring an elevated position within society, or a means of overcoming poverty. Within this transition from home to the orphanage, whilst on the streets, socially acquired dispositions and harmful stereotypes contribute to the manifestation of the ‘street kid’ construct, for which the children are marginalised, and experience physical and sexual abuse. Girls are most at risk, whereby gender inequality contributes to their exploitation and the normalisation of rape. However, for the children entry into a CCI from the streets means relinquishing agency and social capital that is integral to them, often.

Objective: The aim of the current study was to compare the effectiveness of only demonstration and demonstration coupled with the powerpoint method (intervention) in acquiring the knowledge of injection technique using objective structured practical examination (OSPE) as an evaluation tool. Methods: The present study was conducted among IInd professional medical undergraduates (N=80). Identification of medical devices, parts of a syringe and intravenous (IV) infusion set, intramuscular (IM) injection and intravenous infusion techniques were taught using demonstration and intervention method. Participants were then evaluated for their knowledge by OSPE method using validated checklists. Participants were also asked to give feedback for the teaching and evaluation method. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0.0, IBM Corporation. Results: After the intervention method 100% participant could identify needle, cannula, and IV infusion set. Noticeable difference was found in identifying parts of a syringe and IV infusion set after intervention method. OSPE evaluation post-intervention showed that more number of participants could perform the steps of injection correctly and in sequence. OSPE scores post-intervention differed significantly (<0.001) with demonstration method. Conclusion: Demonstration coupled with the powerpoint teaching method was found better than the demonstration method alone. This method should be used to impart practical knowledge of injection technique.

In order to improve the effect of intensive care, this paper proposes a lean nursing intervention method and evaluates the lean nursing intervention through a controlled experiment. According to the actual situation of intensive care, this paper starts with the research from several aspects of patients’ ICU nursing time, patients’ satisfaction, patients’ pathological knowledge familiarity, patients’ autonomous nursing, and enthusiasm of patients and their families. Moreover, this paper collects and displays experimental results through mathematical statistics, gives patients lean management concepts and methods based on routine care, and finds that it has good management effects. Thus, lean management concepts and methods can effectively improve the anxiety state of critically ill patients, improve the patient’s knowledge of disease, and reduce adverse nursing events to improve patient nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of further promotion in the clinic.

Background: Social media-based interventions are commonly used mode of delivery for physical activity promotion interventions. Instagram is an understudied social media platform and our purpose was to describe a detailed study protocol and report the feasibility of an Instagram-based physical activity promotion intervention. Method: Participants (n = 45) were recruited and randomized to follow one of three Instagram accounts for 3 months. The groups included a control, a popular fitness account, and two intervention groups. Participants were asked to complete weekly surveys for four weeks, at a 2-month follow up, and at a 3-month follow up. Participants were incentivized by being entered into a drawing for a free wearable activity monitor. Results: The intervention rate was 40% while the retention rate after four weeks was 33.3% and 22.2% after three months. Participants in the intervention groups reported higher education from the study account, enjoyment, and satisfaction. Conclusion: Although the study was well-received, more research is needed to determine how to increase retention within an Instagram-based intervention. Researchers should consider methods for participant identification, variations of interactive content, and extending the intervention period when designing their own study.

In order to explore the effectiveness of the 5Why-based nursing intervention method in blood purification nursing, this paper takes 108 patients from Changzhou Second Hospital in the past three years as an example for experimental analysis. Moreover, this paper uses mathematical statistics to group patients into groups, and the two groups of patients are comparable. After grouping, this paper conducts preexperiment processing and then conducts patient grooming through various basic tasks so that the test results have a certain degree of reliability. On this basis, this paper verifies the nursing intervention methods through controlled trials. Among them, the control group is treated with the hospital’s conventional nursing methods and allowed patients to master self-nursing methods, while the test group is treated with 5Why-based nursing intervention on the basis of traditional nursing methods. Finally, this paper combines mathematical statistics to evaluate the effect of blood purification nursing. From the research results, it can be known that the 5Why-based nursing intervention method has certain effectiveness in blood purification nursing.
