Philosophical Theantropy as the Principle of Religious Ecumenism

One universal constituent element of human consciousness is belief in the existence of a divine reality that is experienced by persons as the most intimate and essential part of human life. Belief in transcendent reality, which is an immanent part of human nature, constitutes an awe-inspiring mystery (mysterium fascinans et tremens) — that is, a theantropy. Strictly speaking, ‘theantropy’ is a theological term which is used to express the "union of the divine and human natures in Christ" (as defined by Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary). The novum of my understanding of theantropy consists in the application of the concept to the phenomenological experience of the religious consciousness of humanity. Henceforth, I designate theantropy to mean an ontic union and an inherent disposition of the ‘human’ and ‘divine’ constituents in/of every human being. I will examine and reflect on theantropy as the philosophical principle of religious ecumenism as well as compare various solutions of theantropy not only with regard to a particular system of beliefs, but as it is experienced in each and every human being by following Augustine’s principle: "In interiorem hominem redi: ibi habitat Deus" (or in "intimor intimo meo").

Abstract: The rise of transhumanism reopens the perennial question about the essence of being human, this time exposed to the intentional transformation of human nature through the advancement of modern technology. This transformation includes options from how to overcome certain biological limitations to the creation and expansion of a new global mind and deepening of human consciousness. The authors believe that living a life in Christ's way is the true answer to a truncated view of transhumanism on human life. First, they briefly present two basic ways of understanding transhumanism and its tenuous view of man and his life. Then they show how transhumanistic ideas can be a challenge to Christianity. In the final chapter, they offer a holistic understanding of Jesus Christ as the true human being and the true God. They also posit that Jesus Christ and the life of Christians in His way can be found as the answer to an abbreviated view of transhumanism on human life.

Abstract: Today, developments in science and technology have a significant impact on all aspects of the constellation of life, not to mention the complexity of the universe as a space for human life. Nature as a space of human life, has been considered as an object, so that the human being dominated and exploited radically. This condition is exacerbated by the lack of understanding human nature as multidimensional beings, one of which is to have a relationship in the nature of space and time, so it impact on human consciousness which have a continuing obligation to keep the harmony, the harmony of nature neglected. In connection with these conditions, the need for a strategic effort to build a new paradigm in order to raise awareness about the importance of nature through educational process based ekopedagogik in growing ecological awareness and character. Herder brings the entire human being into focus by tracing its connections with the natural, cultural, and historical world. The first part of the volume examines the various dimensions of Herder’s philosophical understanding of human nature through which he sought methodologically to delineate a genuinely anthropological philosophy. This includes his critique of traditional metaphysics and its revision along anthropological lines; the metaphysical, epistemological, and physiological dimensions of his theory of the soul-body relationship; his conception of aesthetics as the study of the sensuous basis of knowledge; and the relationship between the human and natural sciences. The second part then examines further aspects of this understanding of human nature and what emerges from it: the human-animal distinction; how human life evolves over space and time on the basis of a natural order; the fundamentally hermeneutic dimension to human existence; and the interrelatedness of language, history, religion, and culture.

In human nature, apart from being individual beings as well as social beings who have their own culture. Culture arises in humans due to reason and thought in the human being itself. Humans will be able to live perfectly when they live together with other humans, in relation to other humans, certain norms or rules are needed. In the regulation, one of them was written about the procedure for honoring guests called Athiti Krama. Athiti Krama gives motivation in human life because through this human being can foster good relations between humans one with other human beings in harmony. The implementation of Athiti Krama can be found in societies everywhere in the world, both in the advanced society and the people who are still modest in their civilization.
In social life, everyone should behave well so as to create happiness for themselves and the community, because in the teachings of Hinduism, Athiti Krama teachings are basically contained which can bring people to achieve harmony in social order in society. The basis of Athiti Krama's teachings is the ethics or morality that many of the Vedic scriptures have mentioned, one of which is Tri Kaya Parisudha. Considering the importance of Athiti Krama as a social guide in people's lives. I intend to reflect on three phenomena that are revealed in the personal experience of hope: (1) hope distinguishes a person from the natural context, but it does so through nature, i.e., based on desires rooted in human nature; (2) hope is not only inscribed in the existential situation of human being, but also expresses the very meaning of human transcendence: the person transcends themself, because they live the hope of fulfillment in the transcendent reality; hope is a foretaste of a higher, more perfect life; (3) hope is a person’s deeply experienced expectation of love, that is, of someone who loves. The above phenomena require a justification, which is the answer to the question “what is the reason for experiencing hope?”. Carrying out analyses on the basis of the modernized metaphysics of the person, I refer primarily to the concept of personal acts, to the concept of religiosity as an essential property of the person and to elements of the concept of love. The conclusions of these analyses indicate the necessity of accepting the real existence of the object of human hope, since personal life essentially goes beyond contingency, towards wholeness in the form of union with Someone who loves.

Isaak Dorner was a major German theologian of the mid-nineteenth century. His major work was a history of the doctrine of the person of Christ, but his own constructive Christological proposals have largely been overlooked. Dorner postulates a universal human capacity for the divine and an eternal will of the Divine to become human through the Logos. He denies that the human nature is either abstract or general. Jesus is a special human being created by God, a Second Adam with a unique responsiveness to the Divine. The special aspect of Dorner's Christology is his contention that the incarnation must be progressive. As the human life of Christ developed there must have been also development of the God-humanity as the Logos continually appropriated new capacities generated by the human development. His Christology sought to protect the full humanity of Christ as expressed by the young Luther, yet also protect the changeless glory of the Divine as expressed in Reformed theology.

This paper aims to map the reality of the concept of humanism education in the context of Islamic education. Education is one of the most essential keys in human life. In general, education aims to help humans to get the existence of humanity as a whole. Education also aims to make people better in life. Currently education has not been able to achieve the goals and objectives of education itself are humanizing human beings by optimizing all the potential that exists in human beings. On the contrary the education that occurs today only creates a human being a robot or machine that can be controlled. Education as a process of human humanization (humanization) comes from the idea of humanism. This is in line with the basic meaning of humanism as human education. The system of education in Islam built on the basis of humanistic values since its inception appears in accord with its essence as a humanity religion. Islam makes human dimension as the orientation of education. The insight of humanism in education carries the principle of empowering each human being as a free individual to develop its potential. That means education is held to manage and develop the human self in order to become a whole human according to human nature.

This article analyses the link between the goal of economic activity and the adopted (explicitly or implicitly) concept of the human being. The analysis of the Aristotle’s works shows that productive activity conceived not as a goal in itself but as a tool supporting the development of natural human potential is based on Aristotelian concept of a human being. Aristotle defined the human being as a living creature (i.e. bodily creature) endowed with reason. This means that he perceived human life stretched between the two extremes: the sensuality common with the animal life and rationality proper solely to the human being, thanks to which the sensuality is transcended. Thus Aristotelian conviction that all activity, including economic activity should take into account the transcendent nature of the human being inclined toward realisation of the goal, which is the development of the rational human nature.

The diversity of colors has a particular impact on human consciousness. The study deals with the study of the characteristic of the color palette, in both - the inner world of human nature and media texts. For this purpose, various publicist texts (informative, analytical and artistic-publicist) were discussed with student groups (200 students in total) and questionnaire has shown different colors perceived by them while acknowledging with the texts. The survey revealed that 57% of respondents saw a green color in informative texts, in the case of listening to analytical texts, 63% of the students saw a red color, while 53% saw yellow color in the artistic-publicist texts. Thus, when discussing publicistic material of different nature, a predominance of green, red, and yellow colors was revealed in students' perceptions. Such a vision of colors in publicism regulates and harmonizes the inner world of a human being; all of these are the best way to ascend to a higher level of life.
