In Denmark, oral examination is widely used. During the first period of Covid-19 shutdown oral examination had to be carried out through video conference systems. In Denmark as well as internationally there is little research on the topic. How do students experience examination while sitting at home? How does the technology affect the practice? How do students and teachers deal with nervousness? How is the exam dialogue experienced under digital conditions? In this study we investigate students-and teachers experiences with online oral examination at a university college in Denmark. The study is based on statistical analysis of a survey and qualitative analysis of open text fields. In addition to the overall contentment with online oral examination for both students and teachers, the results indicate that there are conflicting experiences with digital oral examination.

This study examined adaptive functioning, strategies used to develop adaptive functioning skills, and areas where additional services could benefit autistic young adults without intellectual disability. Participants were 21 autistic young adults and at least one parent of each young adult. Quantitative analyses replicated previous reports of an adaptive functioning disadvantage relative to intellectual functioning such that adaptive functioning standard scores were significantly lower than intelligence quotient scores. Qualitative analysis utilized grounded theory methodology and yielded a conceptual model describing the nature and development of adaptive functioning in this demographic. Together, findings provide a more nuanced understanding of the gap between intellectual and adaptive functioning in autistic young adults without intellectual disability. Lay abstract Adaptive functioning describes the age-appropriate skills necessary for independent living. Research suggests that autistic children, adolescents, and adults who do not have an intellectual disability demonstrate adaptive functioning challenges relative to their intellectual ability. Thus, even though many of these individuals have the intellectual capacity to excel in mainstream educational and vocational settings, their adaptive functioning challenges may serve as an obstacle to independence. The research on adaptive functioning in autistic adults is focused on statistical analysis of standardized assessments (e.g. parent-report on multiple choice questionnaires). Qualitative research that examines the narratives of young adults and their parents is needed to better understand adaptive functioning in young adults and their resulting service needs. This study combined statistical analysis of standardized assessments with qualitative analysis of interview responses from autistic young adults without intellectual disability and their parents. Findings replicated previous reports of adaptive functioning challenges and identified influences on adaptive functioning development, consequences of independence, and service needs. Taken together, findings indicate the need for interventions and services that facilitate adaptive functioning development in autistic adolescents and young adults and provide insight into potential intervention targets and strategies.

David Kendall was the father of modern probability theory in Britain, a powerful and scholarly mathematician equally at home in abstract theory and in perceptive applications to diverse fields. Through his own research, his influence on generations of students, and from 1962 his leadership of the Cambridge Statistical Laboratory, he inspired the parallel developments of stochastic analysis and applied probability, as well as the statistical analysis of complex structured data.

Edmund Lacy, a doctor of divinity in the University of Oxford, was translated by papal provision on 5 July 1420 from the see of Hereford to that of Exeter, vacant by the death of John Catrick at Florence at the Holy See. He was then aged about fifty, and he continued for thirty-five years as bishop of Exeter until his death at Chudleigh on 18 September 1455. Previously he had been a fellow of University College, Oxford, its bursar in 1396–7 and master in 1398–9. He appears to have kept a room in the college at an annual rent of one mark until 1406–7, and he maintained a fruitful association with the society until his death. His service of the king, both at home and abroad, was rewarded first with the bishopric of Hereford, to which he was consecrated at Windsor on 18 April 1417, in the presence of king Henry V, and then with the richer see of Exeter. He entered his diocese on 17 March 1422, not long before king Henry died. From then until his own death his absences were of the briefest.

This study aims to identify and describe the constraints faced by librarians of the Hasanuddin University Library when working from home (WFH) during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is descriptive. Respondents of this study were librarians of the Hasanuddin University Library who carried out official duties in the field of librarianship at home including doing WFH during the COVID-19 pandemic, starting from the Procurement, Processing, Service, and Information and Technology units. There were two librarians representing each unit as informants, so that eight informants were obtained. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and documentations. Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results of the study illustrate that the constraints faced by librarians of the Hasanuddin University Library when WFH during the COVID-19 pandemic occurred when: the librarian's view of librarian duties was ineffective; the librarian's ability to work from home was not in accordance with the ability to work in an office; there is no motivation to work at home because the librarian work is supposed to be done offline; the need for facilities and infrastructure is inadequate;and there is no leadership support while working from home. In conclusion, the constraints faced by librarians of Hasanuddin University Library when WFH during the COVID-19 pandemic need to be followed up by providing solutions. The solutions can be made in accordance with the obstacles faced, for example the completeness of facilities and infrastructure and avoiding offline work.

The problem of the emergence of aggressive behavior is seen through the analysis of the relationship of proagressive and inhibiting aggression personality structures. The study involved 54 men serving sentences for criminal offenses, of which 24 were accused for violent offenses and 30 - for offenses without resorting to violence. We used questionnaires to study the proagressive and deterring aggression personality structures. Statistical analysis was performed to reveal significant differences between groups and to determine correlations. On this basis, the correlations were interpreted with the help of not only quantitative but also qualitative analysis. The results showed no significant differences in the level of expression of aggression and aggression inhibitors between treatment groups, but we identified qualitative differences in the structural analysis of data from individual psychological characteristics that are expected to distinguish aggressive offenders from the perpetrators without violence.
