O transporte rodoviário interestadual de passageiros é uma atividade econômica que elucida a divisão territorial do trabalho, pois é uma expressão de parte dos deslocamentos de pessoas pelo território nacional e, portanto, ilustra as articulações entre variados centros. Com o avanço da urbanização brasileira e a ampliação da demanda de passageiros o transporte rodoviário acompanha tais processos, pois exerce função social central ao efetuar ligações diversas entre pontos distintos no território nacional e reflete em última instância as dinâmicas da rede urbana e as interações espaciais ocorridas nela. Diante de tais prerrogativas, o município de Londrina, localizado no norte do estado do Paraná, funciona como um nó da rede do transporte rodoviário interestadual de passageiros, pois se trata da segunda cidade mais populosa do estado do Paraná. São dezenas de linhas interestaduais que atingem estados nas macrorregiões Norte, Centro Oeste, Sudeste e Sul, com maior participação das duas últimas. Abstract TERRITORIAL DIVISION OF LABOR AND INTERSTATE ROAD TRANSPORT OF PASSENGERS: THE MUNICIPALITY OF LONDRINA/PR AS A NODE FOR THIS CIRCULATION The interstate road transport of passengers is an economic activity that clarifies the territorial division of labor, it illustrates part of displacement throughout the country and therefore the joints between different centers. With the advancement of Brazilian urbanization and the expansion of the passengers demand the road passenger transport follows these processes, as it exerts a central social function by making diverse connections between distinct points in the national territory and ultimately reflects the dynamics of the urban network and the spatial interactions occurring in it. In view of such prerogatives, the municipality of Londrina, located in the northern part of the Paraná state, functions as a node of the interstate road transport of passengers, because it is the second most populous city in the state of Paraná. There are dozens of interstate lines that reach states in the North, Central-West, Southeast and South macro-regions, with greater participation of the latter two.

Functional reciprocity of all transport sectors with their infrastructure support is most evident in ports. The port of Split, integrated in Split’s traffic intersection, is a striking example of uniqueness of Split-Dalmatia County as a traffic and economic centre of Central Dalmatia. The development of City’s harbour for passenger traffic and the North Port for cargo traffic has determined already set constellation of relations of maritime, road and rail traffic, and their mutual interference. The road transport and activities with regard to hinterland services generate economic development in which Split is no exception. This estimate is based on changes that can be expected in terms of redistribution of traffic flow in the central and southern Adriatic and the greater role of road transport, with Split having an increasingly important role.

The Jati Kudus Terminal, which plays an important role as a public transportation node on the North Coast of Java Island, has experienced a continual decline in performance and service. This study aims to determine the effect of green terminal concept variables in the Jati Kudus Terminal using the multiple linear regression methods with SPSS 23. Data collection tool in the form of questionnaires distributed to respondents, namely terminal users who know the development of the Jati Kudus terminal every day. The perception data used in the analysis is the level of interest and satisfaction with the service and performance of the Jati Kudus terminal. The evaluation of terminal performance refers to the regulation of the Indonesian Minister of Transportation No. 132 of 2015 on the operation of the road transport passenger terminals. The green concept of terminal buildings and facilities refers to the Green Building Council of Indonesia. The results showed that the variable of transportation service reliability, ticketing, and travel costs have the highest and lowest average scores based on user importance and satisfaction, respectively. The other variables include Security guarantee and freedom from criminal acts; Safety and health guarantee and freedom from accidents; Responsiveness of the terminal manager in providing services; Availability and capacity of supporting facilities; Architectural aesthetics within and outside the buildings; Ease of obtaining general travel information; Affordability and accessibility in and out of the terminal; The density of people and vehicles in the terminal area; Comfort, regularity, and cleanliness; and Application of environmentally friendly concepts on terminal and transportation facilities. Therefore, managers of the Jati Kudus terminal need to repair and improve their services according to these 12 variables. The implementation of the green concept can develop Jati Kudus terminal into a green terminal in Indonesia that serves as a node of sustainable and environmentally friendly public transportation.

Achieving an adequate level of quality of transport services is a prerequisite for providing transport services. Certain level of quality of transport services is essential for the operation of intercity road passenger transport due to the increasingly competitive competitiveness of road transport companies in the transport services market. The topic of this research is also based on the presented topic, primarily through a comprehensive and systematic presentation of the current scientific knowledge in the area of quality management in road passenger transport. The structure of the public road transport system and the quality of transport services are described. The paper presents the quality of transport services as the basis of business excellence of road transport companies. Various models of quality management of transport services are described, as well as methods of assessing the quality of transport services in road passenger transport. The review is displayed of the current scientific research on the elements of quality of transport services in road passenger transport. The purpose of the research is to improve the methodology for assessing the quality of transport services with the aim of optimizing business and competitiveness of the road transport company.

The efficiency of the functioning of urban passenger transport routes has been studied in the paper. It has been established that the functioning of urban passenger transport routes takes place in a non-isolated environment, which affects the system from the moment of its formation and can lead to discrepancy between the calculated and actual efficiency of the system. As a result of the fucntioning indicator analysis of the passenger transportation route, it has been revealed that the environment of the route functioning affects the efficiency in a complex manner. Consequently, the mutual influence of one factor on others should be taken into account. Performance evaluation should be carried out for the entire route system, and not within the separately considered subsystem. As a result of the analysis of such key indicators as income, fuel costs, lubricants, maintenance and repair, discrepancies have been found between the planned values of indicators and actual data. It is determined that the distribution function of the random variables of these indicators is described by a normal law. At the final stage of the study, regularities in the influence of the road transport enterprise parameters on the probability of investment return have been obtained. The proposed integrated approach to determining the efficiency of urban passenger transport routes is based not only on the established, but also on the stochastic parameters that occur during the functioning of these routes. An algorithm has been developed for determining the efficiency of urban route passenger traffic, which takes into account the interrelation of income and expenses, modern ideas about the patterns of change in the prpbability of development of optimistic, pessimistic and intermediate scenarios for improvement of route efficiency events. The algorithm is based on formalized dependences of the change in time of the probabilities of income and expenses which are taken into account in the operation process of urban passenger transport routes with their various parameters.

<p>O transporte rodoviário de passageiros no Brasil cumpre importante função social enquanto serviço público ao propiciar um conjunto amplo de deslocamentos de pessoas, cargas e informações por grande parte dos estados e regiões brasileiras. Trata-se de uma atividade econômica importante para o território nacional, pois revela uma variedade de interações espaciais que abrangem a complexa rede urbana do país. A flexibilidade do ônibus rodoviário e a capilaridade do serviço são centrais para o atendimento a cidades de portes variados, pois permite a conexão entre centros urbanos com menos de cinco mil habitantes até a conexão entre metrópoles como Brasília/DF, Rio de Janeiro/RJ e São Paulo/SP. Este artigo debaterá tais deslocamentos de pessoas pelo modal rodoviário a partir da análise que contemplará as cidades pequenas na região Sul do Brasil, tendo a formação socioespacial como base para o entendimento das dinâmicas atinentes ao recorte e de suas articulações com a divisão territorial do trabalho. Neste contexto, se destaca a importância das ligações rodoviárias de longa distância que contemplam dezenas de cidades em seus percursos.</p><p><span>Abstract</span></p><p>THE INTERSTATE ROAD TRANSPORT OF PASSENGERS IN THE URBAN NETWORK OF SOUTHERN REGION: AN ANALYSIS ABOUT THE SMALL CITIES</p><p>The road passenger transport in Brazil plays an important social function as a public service by providing a broad set of displacements of people, cargo and information across displacements through most Brazilian states and regions. This is an important economic activity for the national territory because it reveals a variety of spatial interactions covering the country’s complex urban network. The flexibility of the road bus and the capillarity of the service are central for the service to cities of varying sizes, because it allows the connection between urban centers with less than five thousand inhabitants until the connection between metropolises like Brasília/ DF, Rio de Janeiro/RJ and São Paulo/SP. This article will discuss such displacements of people by the road modal from the analysis that will contemplate the small towns in the Southern region of Brazil, with socio-spatial formation as the basis for understanding the dynamics related to the of the dynamics related to the snippet and understanding of its articulations with the territorial division of labor. In this context, the importance of long-distance road connections that include dozens of cities on their routes stands out.</p>

As one of the gates of development in eastern Indonesia, East Kalimantan Province consists of 14 regencies/ cities with commodity timber, palm oil and coal is a high per capita income of the province and the sixth largest contributor to GDP (6.08%) in Indonesia. The road network has not been able to reach the economic activity in the north and west, not all meet the requirements of the technical feasibility of such strength that resulted in damage to roads and major loss is a problem.The research objective is to formulate recommendations for the development of road transport anticipate growth in East Kalimantan province.Data collection through literature review, the results of research and related scientific publications. Descriptive analyzes were conducted to propose solutions evaluative transportasai development of effective road.Result of the research is to improve road transport services in the North East Kalimantan, East Kalimantan Central Kalimantan South East, the construction and upgrading of roads to reach districts in accordance with the carrying capacity of the traffic load, increase the accessibility index, the construction of freight and passenger terminal and bridge weigh in the order of priority locations, increasing support for MP3EI, KEK and KPI.

Wheat is an important cereal crop in Brazil and one of the major source of carbohaydrates for baking. Grain losses on roads cause losses beyond the economic scope. Grains that fall around the highway are seeds with the potential to germinate, making it a "green bridge" for the transmission of diseases or hybridization between traditional, commercial and transgenic cultivars. The objective of this study was to establish the quantitative losses along the roads during the transportation of wheat grains in Paraná, as well as to verify the influence of short and long distance load on grain losses. The research was developed through a partnership between the National Supply Company (CONAB) and the Nucleus of Storage Technology, at the Federal University of Mato Grosso. at the Federal University of Mato Grosso. A survey of wheat grain losses was carried out in the BR-376, approximately 295 km distance between the Port of São Francisco in Santa Catarina and Ponta Grossa in Paraná between March and April 2018. A total of 26 collection points were established along the highway. At each collection point an area of 1 m2 was measured with the aid of a fixed frame of wood with the same area, at a distance of 1.3 m from the highway margin, in the north-south direction of the highway, which is the direction of the grain flow in BR-376 in the section considered). The grains were collected on the side of the road, along the gutters and near the lawn, with a broom, brush and dustpan. The collected material was placed in plastic bags properly identified and taken to the laboratory for separation and weighing. The experiment was carried out in subdivided plots, 26 plots (collection points), 4 subplots (collection times) and 3 replicates (collection areas at points). Statistical analyzes were performed using Assistat software. Differences among treatments were verified using analysis of variance (ANOVA) using the F test. When significant to the comparison of means for the treatments was performed by the Scott-Knott test. The section of the data referring to the short route that presented the highest loss index was the route in the interior of the city of Ponta Grossa-PR. The Ponta Grossa/Ponta Grossa destination also had the highest total loss, even though it was an average distance of 25 km. The route between the municipalities of Uraí/Ponta Grossa was the destination with the highest losses (122.55 kg of grains per trip). In almost all sections of the route denominated as long losses higher than acceptable in contracts (0.25%). The percentage of wheat grains lost is associated with the quality of the highways and trucks used in transportation.
