The article explores the possibility of constructing an electric drive control system for the crane movement mechanism with damping of load vibrations. The proposed system includes an adaptive module, which, with the help of an exemplary model, provides control correction based on misalignment signals with changes in the weight of the load and the length of the suspension.

Abstract A model of a two-step anaerobic fermentation in a bioreactor-mixer, whose mathematical description is a system of nonlinear mathematical equations, is discussed. The purpose is to design an algorithm of an energy-saving control relying on the principles of nonlinear adaptation on target manifolds with an attractive property, which are referred to as invariants or invariable laws of the target system behavior for the object under study. A necessary preliminary step is the formalization of possible target invariants in the form of prescribed (desired) laws of the controlled object behavior. An example is given of designing a vector regulator with a compensation of random disturbances over the control channel in a system of anaerobic biological waste water treatment.

The article presents the results of a computational study of the possibilities of improving the dynamic properties of diesel engines by using a controlled turbocharger. A promising medium-speed diesel engine 12 ChN 26.5 / 31, operating in ship conditions was researched. A mathematical model has been developed for a combined engine as a part of a complex adaptive control system with channels for regulating the speed of rotation and turbocharging. The computer model was implemented in the MATLAB / Simulink software package. Calculated transient processes of the working process parameters of a diesel engine were considered for two methods of turbocharging control: multistage turbocharging and variable geometry turbines – turbines with a variable position of the guide vanes. The effect of pneumatic correction of the fuel supply on the dynamic characteristics of the engine under consideration was studied. The obtained results were analyzed. A comparison of various options for regulating the air supply system in terms of the efficiency of improving the dynamic properties of diesel engines was performed.

Abstract Aiming at the problems of strong non-linearity of gravimeter stabilisation platform system, poor robustness of linear PID control algorithm and non-adaptive control system. This paper designs a LADRC-based gravimetric stabilisation platform control system design and method based on the research of PID controller and ADRC control method, and gives the anti-saturation and anti-noise design applicable to it, and the simulation experiment shows that the method is feasible.

Abstract Methods and algorithms of the sustainable synthesis of adaptive control systems for the technological process of formalin production have been proposed in this article. Parameters of the regulator are estimated in the developed adaptive control system, i.e. the purpose of adaptation is reduced to the estimation of coefficients of the regulator providing the specified behavior of the system. The results obtained and the analysis of transition processes based on the modeling of the control system showed that with adaptive control, mass fractions of formaldehyde and methanol in formalin are held within 36.5÷37.5% and 0.7÷0.9% respectively, while the specific consumption of the methanol decreases by 3÷4%, which allows the process in mode close to the optimal.

Представлены результаты построения математической модели системы адаптивного управления средствами имитации нагрузок беговых тренажеров. Достоинством модели является возможность адаптации реакции системы управления тренажером к действиям тренируемого-пользователя за счет обработки данных от наблюдателя (видеокамеры). The article presents the results of constructing a mathematical model of the adaptive control system of a running simulator. Algorithms for its implementation. The main advantage of the model is the ability to adapt the response of the simulator control system to the actions of the trainee-user by processing data from the observer (video camera).

The basic characteristic of batch bioreactors is their inability to inflow or outflow the substances during the fermentation process. This follows in the simple construction and maintenance, which is the significant advantage of batch bioreactors. Unfortunately, this characteristic also results in the inability of the current industrial and laboratory batch bioreactors to control fermentation production during the process duration. In some recent studies, it was shown that changing the temperature could influence the execution of the fermentation process. The presented paper shows that this phenomenon could be used to develop the closed-loop control system for the fermentation production control in batch bioreactors. First, based on theoretical work, experiments, and numerical methods, the appropriate structure of the mathematical model was determined and parameters were identified. Next, the closed-loop control system structure for batch bioreactor was proposed, and the linear and adaptive control system based on this structure and the derived and identified model were developed. Both modeling and adaptive control system design are new and represent original contributions. As expected, due to the non-linearity of the controlled plant, the adaptive control represents a more successful approach. The simulation and experimental results were used to confirm the applicability of the proposed solution.
