Abstract - The development of information technology and significant progress is happening today, where changes need to face increasingly high global competition. Islamic boarding schools are the centre of change, where boarding schools must develop four important factors: human resource development, information technology, culture and e-spirituality. This article is about developing smart city 3.0 and 5.0, where the resulting framework and methods can apply to Islamic boarding schools. Our research object is Islamic boarding schools, and in this place, we do community service. This article's results are the framework and the maturity level of smart Islamic boarding schools, where there are three indicators (people-culture, technology-business, implementation-global goals)  and three important levels (stage 1-the foundation, stage 2-good foundation, stage 3- great foundation), which are the basis for developing a smart islamic boarding school. Moreover, this article is version 1.0, which in its development will extend to the application. An application Si-PenO (Online registration information system) completed at the Askhabul Kahfi Islamic boarding school as proof of applying the concept we created in this article. This change is needed to face globalization, and change is a good thing if it does systematically. Furthermore, this article will continue to develop in versions 2.0 and 3.0 and applications that we will implement in Islamic boarding schools.

One of the great traditions in Islamic education institutions in Indonesia is teaching by transmitting Islamic values as found in classical books written centuries ago. The majority in Indonesia, the classic book is better known as the Kitab Kuning. Teaching with the Kitab Kuning is usually done in Islamic Boarding Schools. Examining Kitab Kuning requires qualified Arabic language skills at least passively. Unfortunately, not all Islamic boarding schools that have a variety of superior programs in certain fields, are weak in the field of studying Kitab Kuning. One of them is the Islamic Boarding School Mu'allimin Muhammadiyyah Sawah Dangka which has the flagship Tahfizh Alquran program but is weak in the study of Kitab Kuning. One of the main factors is the lack of adequate quality of human resources. For this reason, this community service activity aims to provide training while introducing new, lightweight methods in learning Arabic, namely the Bihaqatil Jumal method. This method emphasizes learning Arabic using the right brain. After a series of community service activities, teachers and Islamic boarding schools felt helped and gained new experiences in learning Arabic methods to study Kitab Kuning. In addition, both the assisted object and the resource person requested that this kind of community service be continued.

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan santri pondok pesantren salafiyah Al-Azhar, desa Patok Picis, kecamatan Wajak, kabupaten Malang; Peningkatan kesadaran dalam pemanfaatan lahan pondok serta pengelolaan kebersihannya; Peningkatan wawasan santri sehingga dapat memunculkan motivasi dan semangat berwirausaha; Peningkatan nilai ekonomis sumber daya hasil alam yang ada di pondok pesantren. Metode yang digunakan  adalah ceramah, pelatihan dan pendampingan, konten yang dikembangkan mencakup, materi technopreneurship dan kewirausahaan, pengelolaan lingkungan, keterampilan memijat dan pembuatan nugget ikan produk pesantren. Hasil kegiatan ini wawasan wirausaha santri telah meningkat, demikian pula keterampilan dalam pemanfaatan potensi bahan baku lokal untuk produk yang lebih bernilai ekonomi serta pemahaman penerapan teknologi yang lebih efektif untuk penguatan karakteristik pesantren wirausaha.Kata kunci—technopreneurship, santri, wirausaha, pesantreneurship AbstractThe aim of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of Al-Azhar Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School students, Patok Picis village, Wajak sub-district, Malang district; Increased awareness in the utilization of cottage land and cleanliness management; Increased students’ knowledge so that it can bring up the motivation and enthusiasm of entrepreneurship; Increasing the economic value of natural resource resources in boarding schools. The methods used are lectures, training and mentoring, content developed includes, technopreneurship and entrepreneurship materials, environmental management, massage skills and the production of pesantren fish nuggets. Scabies is a skin disease caused by investment and sensitivity by Sarcoptes scabei mites, often found in Islamic boarding schools, because of the place was humid and the students' knowledge about life style was lack. Health Education was intended to increase the knowledge of the students at Al-Arifin Islamic boarding school about scabies and how to prevent it. The method of implementation in this community service activities was started from planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation. Health education was carried out through lectures and discussion by leaflets and PowerPoint presentations. The results showed 70.00% of participants gave an excellent rating of health education. Scabies health education activities provide benefits to improve health degree of public health specifically in the boarding school environment. Health education about scabies in the boarding school environment was very useful for increasing the knowledge of the students.

Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School, Guntung Manggis Village, Kecamatan Ulin Banjarbaru, is one of the pesantren of 14 Islamic boarding schools in Banjarbaru City. The problem that was found was that while studying at the Islamic boarding school, the students were only given religious lessons and the students were not equipped with community empowerment-based knowledge and skills so that after graduating the students had economically-oriented skills independently in the community. The solution offered is training in the processing of catfish meatballs, which is a simple, easy, inexpensive, and economical skill technology if managed and carried out seriously. The target outcome plan is the success of the santri entrepreneurship program and scientific publications in the Jati Emas community service journal. Participants were 25 people consisting of 20 santri and 5 ustadzah. All participants were divided into 5 groups, each group consisting of 4 students and 1 ustazdah. Each group was given the opportunity to process fish balls from handling fish to turning them into meatballs. Participant participation was very high, as seen from the very dynamic activities of each group. All equipment used during the training was handed over to the boarding school as a motivation for them to have business capital in the form of equipment. At the end of the meeting the leadership of the boarding school stated that they would provide direction to the students to start processing fish balls for consumption needs at the boarding school and then they could be used as an economic business for the Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School.

The existence of Salaf Islamic boarding schools must follow developments and modernization in every aspect of its development. Salaf Islamic boarding schools must open themselves from the rapid progress and development of the outside world and must be able to understand their needs and demands. The existence of the Salaf Islamic boarding school Nurul Muhibbin in Kemuja Village certainly must be able to color the stage of modernity to face the global challenges of the outside world, must be able to adapt and interact by not leaving and eliminating the values of salafiyah purity in accepting the development activities of the times. Of course, too, modernity has many advantages, but besides that there are also many possibilities that must be avoided. Progress in the field of technology must be watched out by Islamic boarding schools in general, the rapid development of technology should not then make the collapse of the pure values of Islamic teachings in salaf boarding schools just the opposite how Salaf Islamic boarding schools can use this information technology as a means to develop and promote education and teaching in Islamic boarding schools.

One of the areas affected by the spread of Covid-19 is education, including Islamic boarding schools. After undergoing distance learning in the early days of the emergence and spread of Covid-19, several Islamic boarding schools enforced the reopening of learning in pesantren by implementing strict health protocols. One of them is Pondok Pesantren All-Fattah Siman Lamongan. Unfortunately, not all students understand and understand the health protocol well. Therefore, our team from STIT Al-Fattah, consisting of one lecturer and one student, conducted community service at the Al-Fattah Islamic Boarding School with the agenda of procuring Covid-19 educational posters and training in making disinfectants with the aim of making students and pesantren administrators understand health protocols. which must be implemented during Covid-19. The target of this implementation is all female students of the Al-Fattah Siman Lamongan Islamic Boarding School. As a result of the implementation of this activity, the students felt that they had a better understanding of basic health protocols in dealing with Covid-19.

  The existence of pesantren in the midst of society has a very strategic meaning. Pesantren institutions that are rooted in the community, especially rural communities, are a separate force in arousing the enthusiasm and passion of the community for progress. One of the pesantren that has a long history of the Republic of Indonesia is pesantren Cijati Majalengka. Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School, Cijati. The Community Empowerment Program in Islamic Boarding Schools in terms of economic, social, psychological-counseling, religion, education and other aspects through community service cooperation between universities and partners is expected to provide optimal empowerment for the pesantren environment and the communities around the pesantren area. This service was carried out at the Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School which is located at Jl. K.H Mahfud No. 23 Kelurahan Cijati Kec / Kab. Majalengka with in-house training methods, in the form of socialization, training, and consultation. The conclusion of the community service carried out is the need for a holistic empowerment synergy to increase the potential of the pesantren.

<p><em>Islamic boarding schools are an important element of education in Indonesia. Islamic boarding school educates students to understand and practice religion with a sense of tolerance and moderate. However, recently, the moderate nature of Indonesian Islam is challenged by the spirit of radicalism and conservatism Islam. In this context, this community service on mainstreaming religious moderation among students at Darus Sholah Islamic boarding school is very relevant to spread moderation and tolerant values in religious understanding. Strengthening religious moderatism among students at an Islamic boarding school is one of the strategies to prevent radicalism. Santri as a part of Islamic boarding schools plays an important role to build a social life in the process of socialization and internalization of socio-cultural values about harmony and peace as social capital. The result of this community service on strengthening religious moderatism among students of Islamic boarding schools will make the community of students at Islamic boarding school more aware and contribute to conveying religious understanding following the Islamic boarding school traditions.<strong></strong></em></p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p>Pondok pesantren adalah satu elemen penting dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Pondok pesantren telah lama mengajarkan ilmu agama dengan nilai-nilai yang penuh toleransi dan moderat. Namun akhir-akhir ini, moderatisme Islam menghadapi tantangan dengan lahirnya pemahaman keislaman yang radikal dan konservatif. Dalam konteks ini, program pendampingan dan pemberdayaan kader pesantren di Darus Sholah menemukan relevansinya dengan tujuan untuk menguatkan serta menyebarluaskan pemahaman yang moderat dan toleran. Penguatan moderasi beragama dikalangan para santri merupakan salah satu strategi untuk mencegah lahirnya radikalisme. Santri sebagai bagian tak terpisahkan dari dunia pesantren memiliki peran yang cukup signifikan untuk menumbuhkan kehidupan sosial yang harmoni dan penuh dengan nilai perdamaian. Hasil dari pendampingan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat khususnya kepada para kader pesantren untuk lebih sigap dalam membumikan nilai-nilai pesantren yang moderat dan toleran. <em></em></p>

Abstract:  This study aimed to identify and analyze the issue faced by Islamic boarding schools (Kepontren) in Medan. This research method is Participatory Learning and Action (PLA), data collection through interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The research location is in the city of Medan. The data in this study are primary. The results showed that the issue faced by the Kepontren in Medan City consisted of an internal issue and an external issue. Mapping the condition of the Medan City Islamic Boarding School Cooperatives shows that eight cooperatives. However, only three active participants (37.5%) are good enough and prosperous enough for their members; 62.5% are not developing, tend to be minor, and only sell the needs of the pesantren students. The implication of this research is to improve cooperative management in the pesantren environment in the city of Medan, especially in asset management, innovation, and strategy in human resource development. The novelty of this research is the application of Participatory Learning and Action from all environmental elements involved in the Pondok Pesantren cooperative.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Pondok Pesantren (Kepontren) di Medan. Metode penelitian ini adalah Participatory Learning and Action (PLA), pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian berada di kota Medan. Data dalam penelitian ini bersifat primer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Kepontren di Kota Medan terdiri dari permasalahan internal dan permasalahan eksternal. Pemetaan kondisi Koperasi Pondok Pesantren Kota Medan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat delapan koperasi. Namun, hanya tiga peserta aktif (37,5%) yang cukup baik dan cukup sejahtera bagi anggotanya; 62,5% tidak berkembang, cenderung kecil, dan hanya menjual kebutuhan santri pesantren. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan manajemen koperasi di lingkungan pesantren di kota Medan khususnya dalam pengelolaan aset, inovasi, dan strategi dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan Participatory Learning and Action dari seluruh elemen lingkungan yang terlibat dalam koperasi Pondok Pesantren.

Icor data from Pemalang Regency, Central Java, said that up to January 25, 2021, there were 3180 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients and 187 of them died. This community service activities are carried out to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 at the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Al Fath Islamic Boarding School through community empowerment programs as a form of vigilance against infectious diseases caused by viruses. The activities carried out are providing health information through showing videos about Covid-19 and its transmission as well as prevention efforts with 3M. In addition, the community service team also provided training on how to wash hands in the correct 6 steps. The activity was attended by 31 participants consisting of caregivers and students of Islamic boarding schools. The results of the service revealed that participants' knowledge of Covid-19 prevention increased from 6.84 to 8.32.
