Pulsed electric fields in the sub-microsecond range are being increasingly used in biomedical and biotechnology applications, where the demand for high-voltage and high-frequency pulse generators with enhanced performance and pulse flexibility is pushing the limits of pulse power solid state technology. In the scope of this article, a new pulsed generator, which includes four independent MOSFET based Marx modulators, operating individually or combined, controlled from a computer user interface, is described. The generator is capable of applying different pulse shapes, from unipolar to bipolar pulses into biological loads, in symmetric and asymmetric modes, with voltages up to 6.5 kV and currents up to 65 A, in pulse widths from 100 ns to 100 µs, including short-circuit protection, current and voltage monitoring. This new scientific tool can open new research possibility due to the flexibility it provides in pulse generation, particularly in adjusting pulse width, polarity, and amplitude from pulse-to-pulse. It also permits operating in burst mode up to 5 MHz in four independent channels, for example in the application of synchronized asymmetric bipolar pulses, which is shown together with other characteristics of the generator.

The technological revolution for the Paperless Criminal Court Process is that in the development of evidence as regulated in the Criminal Procedure Code, it can no longer accommodate developments in information technology; this creates new problems. This problem causes the form of printed media to be shifted to digital media (paperless). This shift makes a significant change in crime using computers because evidence of a crime that will lead to a criminal event is in electronic data. Either on the computer itself (hard disk/floppy disc) or printed out or in another form in the form of a trace (path) of a computer user activity. The judge is not related to the correctness of conformity embodied on the instructions as evidence because electronic evidence cannot stand alone to prove the defendant's guilt. Therefore, it needs to be supported by other evidence.

This research paper presents an attempt to explore the phenomenon of a consistent disconnection between the online and offline personality traits of Internet users. The research delves deeper into this notion, explores the possible drivers and stimulants, and then puts special emphasis on its implications and repercussions on various business aspects, such as online advertising and e-marketing techniques. The research uses a variety of instruments and tools, including structured observations, face-to-face interviews, online surveys, and mock computer User Interfaces designed specifically for the purpose of the experiments conducted as part of the primary data collection for the research. The paper then proceeds to analyze the primary data and presents an attempt to understand the phenomenon and its underlying stimulants. Finally, the paper presents a set of conclusions, again with more focus on marketing and business-related issues. The research, through its primary data analysis and rationalization, concludes that there is strong evidence that most internet users exhibit different facets of behavioral dissonance between their online and offline traits. The research also concludes that such dissonance may be induced by the social internet ecosystem and dynamics, rather than intrinsic tendencies in the users’ actual characters. The research also relates these findings with common business practices of successful online businesses and sheds the light on potential ethical dilemmas pertaining to internet businesses exploiting these phenomena (albeit sometimes unknowingly) to lure their users into buying products or to generate more traffic.

PT. UJT is an Engineering services company, Mechanical and Electrical Construction. In the process almost all office work uses a computer as its main device. This study was conducted to determine the relationship of subjective complaints of eye fatigue to the level of lighting of computer users at PT. UJT, as well as obtaining the proposed lighting design according to the standard. This type of research is descriptive correlational. The sample in this study was determined by purpose sampling, with the results of 40 computer user workers. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires and measuring local lighting levels at the work desk. The results showed that the intensity of lighting at work tables of 34 computer users (85%) was categorized as bad because <300 lux or> 500 lux and 29 people (72.5%) computer user workers experienced subjective complaints of eye fatigue. The Chi Square Test statistical test results showed a significant relationship between the level of lighting with subjective complaints of eye fatigue, where in the degree of significance of 5%, the P value = 0.039 was obtained. Proposed lighting improvements are carried out by changing the armature height of room B lights according to room A. To achieve the target of lighting intensity of 400 lux, an additional 11 units of armature are needed and a replacement unit with MAS LED tube 1200mm UO 16Watt 865 T8 2500 lumen. Keywords: Eye Fatigue, Lighting Intensity, Chi Square Test, Lighting Design, Office PT. BACKGROUND: The contrast between a bright computer screen and a dark ambient environment may influence comfort of the users, especially on their eyes. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research is to identify the optimal desktop lighting for the comfortable use of the computer screen in a dark environment. METHODS: An experiment was designed where seven illumination setups were introduced for the users to perform their leisure tasks on a computer screen. Fifteen healthy subjects participated in the experiments. During each session, durations of the eye blinks, fixations and saccades of the user were recorded by an eye tracker. His/her neck and trunk movements were recorded by a motion tracking system as well. The comfort/discomfort questionnaire, localized postural discomfort questionnaire, NASA task load index and computer user questionnaire were used to record the overall comfort/discomfort, the local perceived physical discomfort, the cognitive workload, and general/eye health problems, respectively. RESULTS: Subjective and objective measurement results indicated that users felt more comfortable with high intensity warm lights using a computer screen. We also identified that the eye fixation durations, as well as the scores of two questions in the computer user questionnaire, have significant negative correlations with comfort. On the other side, the durations of blinks and the scores of three questions in the computer user questionnaire, were significantly correlated with discomfort. CONCLUSION: The warm (3000K) and high intensity (1500 lux) light reduced the visual and cognitive fatigue of the user and therefore improve the comfort of the user during the use of a computer screen.

The domain of computer science is extremely versatile and dynamic, its complexity leading to the coinage of numerous new terms in a relatively short period of time. Their origin is, more often than not, empirical and these new terms have practical value. Moreover, they are customary and easy to remember, thus making the “science” behind the domain under scrutiny more appealing and easier to understand by non-specialists. The present paper aims at investigating the computer science terminology from a different perspective; it intends to devote special attention to the words which have acquired a new meaning, transgressing boundaries from general vocabulary to the active vocabulary of the non-specialist computer user. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on devising a new classification of these words which have their origin in the general English, thus helping non-specialist computer users to easily understand and use them. Consequently, the everyday English words assimilated by the information technology domain will be divided into six broad categories, i.e. standalone words, open compounds, closed or transparent compounds, compounds written as hyphenated words or that have a preposition or a conjunction as a linking element, words derived with the suffix –er, each of these encompassing a plethora of explained examples, which are very common in the aforementioned sphere

AbstractLack of knowladge of computer user about system security problem is one of the cause of computer problems. There are many computers that do not update their antivirus and some even do not use an antivirus. Network security techniques usually block attacks using a firewall or detect attack with IDS (Intruction Detection System), which is in charge of guarding against axisting attacks. However, by only using IDS the network administrator will be overwhelmed checking every notification given by IDS. This IDS works almost the same as an antivirus, unable to work in an encrypted environment or an IPv6 environment. For that, additional security is needed such as a dionaea honeypot. A honeypot is a fake system the signed to trap attacker, as if it were a real system. Based on these problems, a research will be conducted on the Analysis And Implementation Of Honeypot Using Dionaea as Network Security Support. Keywords: Honeypot, Dionaea, IDS, Firewall, Malware
