We present a novel A* seed heuristic enabling fast and optimal sequence-to-graph alignment, guaranteed to minimize the edit distance of the alignment assuming non-negative edit costs. We phrase optimal alignment as a shortest path problem and solve it by instantiating the A* algorithm with our novel seed heuristic. The key idea of the seed heuristic is to extract seeds from the read, locate them in the reference, mark preceding reference positions by crumbs, and use the crumbs to direct the A* search. We prove admissibility of the seed heuristic, thus guaranteeing alignment optimality. Our implementation extends the free and open source AStarix aligner and demonstrates that the seed heuristic outperforms all state-of-the-art optimal aligners including GraphAligner, Vargas, PaSGAL, and the prefix heuristic previously employed by AStarix. Specifically, we achieve a consistent speedup of >60x on both short Illumina reads and long HiFi reads (up to 25kbp), on both the E. coli linear reference genome (1Mbp) and the MHC variant graph (5Mbp). Our speedup is enabled by the seed heuristic consistently skipping >99.99% of the table cells that optimal aligners based on dynamic programming compute.

The influence of the technological parameters of the printing through the SLA (Stereolithography) technology is presented. This printing technology is based on the use of a photosensitive resin, which polymerizes in contact with UV rays with a wavelength of 405nm. An Anycubic Photon Mono printer is used, on which parts are printed, in which the dimensional accuracy and the condition of the resulting surfaces will be analyzed. It will study the influence of the polymerization time of the resin (5s - 10s), of the advance step between the successively deposited layers (0.05mm - 0.2mm), as well as the influence of the placement positioning of the reference mark for printing. A Black basic type, monomer with photo-initiator photosensitive resin will be used made by Anycubic,. A Sony alpha 37 DSLR camera with Sony SAL-100M28 100mm F / 2.8 AF Macro lens will be used to capture images for the resulting surfaces.

В статье рассматривается структура калмыцкого народного костюма с выделением знаковой роли головного убора. Впервые рассматривая калмыцкий народный костюм с точки зрения комплекса искусствоведческого, культурологического, эстетического, семиотического подходов к народному искусству, автор вписывает его в контекст соотношения человека и универсума. Автор рассматривает народный костюм как знаковую систему и явление искусства, обусловленные материальнодуховной культурой этноса. Связь духовноэтических основ и художественных традиций калмыцкого народа положена в основу его анализа и интерпретации. Результаты показывают пространственную привязку знака головного убора и в целом всей системы костюма. В сравнении конструктивных деталей традиционного костюма и жилища обнаруживается их идентичность в создании материальной сферы бытия человека, универсальной сегментации пространства. В конструкции головного убора хаджилга специфичным образом реализована символика целого пласта традиционной калмыцкой культуры, основанная на буддийском мировоззрении. Эти результаты значимы для интерпретации традиционного и современного искусства евразийских кочевых народов и народов буддийского ареала в образно-символическом аспекте. The article describes the structure of the Kalmyk folk costume with the release of a headdress as a sign. The author includes the Kalmyk folk costume in the context of the relationship between man and the universe, for the first time considering it from the point of view of a complex of art history, cultural, aesthetic, semiotic approaches to folk art. The article presents the folk costume as a sign system and a phenomenon of art, caused by the material and spiritual culture of the ethnos. The connection of the spiritual and ethical foundations and artistic traditions of the Kalmyk people is the basis of its analysis and interpretation. The results reveal the spatial reference mark headdress and the entire system as a whole suit. In comparison, structural parts of the traditional costume and dwellings found their identity in the creation of the material sphere of human existence, the universal space segmentation. The symbolism of the Buddhist world as a late formation of the traditional culture of the Kalmyks distinctive way implemented in the design of the headdress hadzhilga . These results are significant for the figurative-symbolic and worldview interpretation of the traditional and modern art of the Eurasian nomadic peoples and the peoples of the Buddhist area.

Ever since its formulation by A. S. Eddington, the mass-luminosity relation has been viewed as a triumph for theoretical astronomy and astrophysics. The idea that the luminosity of the stars could be controlled solely by their mass was indeed a revolutionary concept. The proof involved two central aspects: (1) the belief that stars could be treated as ideal gases in hydrostatic equilibrium, and (2) that the opacity of Capella could be used as a reference mark applicable to other stars. Yet, when the mass-luminosity relation was advanced, no thought was given to the need for thermodynamic balance. Within thermodynamic expressions, not only must the dimensions (hence units) be consistent on each side of the equals sign, but the extensive nature of the properties must also balance. Namely, thermodynamic expressions must be balanced by properties which are extensive to the same degree. In this regard, mass is an extensive thermodynamic property and can be represented by a homogenous function of degree 1. Conversely, the luminosity of a star is neither extensive nor intensive, but rather can be represented by a homogenous function of degree 2/3. Consequently, the mass-luminosity expression is thermodynamically unbalanced and stands in violation of the laws of thermodynamics.

AbstractBy „dispute” we mean an argumentative dialog where each of the two parts state opposite theses. Two sentences can be contrary if they have similar reference, but incompatible predicates (SIP – sentences with incompatible predicates). Usually, the disputes are solved using force in different ways, but that does not mean that the winner is right and his thesis is true. Therefore, we cannot evaluate a thesis on the ground of its success, but we need a reference mark for that. According to the Sophist school, the individual is the only reference mark, so any SIP is equally justified. The absolutist point of view claims that there is an objective reference mark and, consequently, the truth is, at its turn, objective and unique. Finally, the relativist orientation rejects any objective reference mark, but the right thesis is not arbitrary, as the sophists thought, it is true relatively to the state of the evaluator to a given moment. It follows that, for any evaluator, at a moment of time, only one SIP is true.

The paper describes research examining the trends in balancing rotary machines and the application of the sequence of steps in execution of the operational balancing of an impeller of the industrial furnace emissions fan. The balancing process is based on the correction of the weight distribution of the body with the given axis of rotation. In trial operation, vibrations (with the measurement of the oscillation phase) were measured on both emission fan rotor bearings. Since the measured vibration value was higher than recommended, it was necessary to take steps to balance the fan’s impeller. The first step of the operational balancing is to identify the initial vibration vector relative to the reference mark, arbitrarily located on the rotating wheel of the fan. In trial operation, the balancing weight mass was changed in the selected balancing level, resulting in the change of the vibration vector compared to the initial state. The size and the angular position of the balancing weight were determined from the vibration values measured. 15 months into operation after the impeller was balanced, the diagnosis of its current technical condition was performed. Total vibrations of the device were measured in the low- and high-frequency range, at four measuring points on the rotor and the drive engine. The measurement confirmed a satisfactory technical condition of the engine and the fan equipment. The effect of balancing has also been demonstrated in the case observed. Reduced bearing wear, elimination of recurrent defects, foundation damage, etc., have been observed.

Oil and its refinery products have always been the most important source of energy for modern society, and, therefore, one cannot imagine the life of mankind in any field of its activity without this resource. Energy, military defense, transport, agriculture, domestic needs of the population, the economy of the country are directly dependent on oil and its prices, it plays an extremely important role for Russia in particular, since it is the main revenue item for the state, therefore, forecasting oil prices is a primary task. The purpose of the article is to forecast the prices for this resource for April-August 2018 on the basis of the neural network model use as one of the ways to implement artificial intelligence. Oil prices have been chosen as the object of forecasting, and the subject is the dynamics of oil prices. The choice of the object and the subject of forecasting was conditioned by the fact that the price of oil is one of the main factors affecting the state and pace of development of the domestic economy, and primarily GDP. The pricing of many types of oil is determined by the price of the Brent crude oil reference mark, including the cost of three out of five Russian export brands: Urals, Siberian Light and REBCO, calculated on the basis of Brent prices.

Abstract The changes that occur in the labour market due to the recent evolution registered in the field of accounting, led us to initiate a study in which we have as a purpose to analyse the perception that employers and students enrolled in the faculties for accounting from the Western part of our country have regarding the importance of the professional and transversal competencies when they get hired. The research tools used within this research are on the one side grounded on the quiz for data collection, and on the other side the ANOVA method for the analysis of the perception differences found in these two groups discussed upon. The results found in this work represent in the opinion of the authors an important reference mark for the university instruction of the young people who are about to enter the accounting profession, but also for the future employers who are about to interact with them.
