Minyak kemiri sering digunakan sebagai obat tradisional yang digunakan secara topikal, umumnya digunakan untuk merawat rambut dan mengobati luka bakar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji aktivitas anti luka bakar dari minyak kemiri yang telah diformulasikan dalam bentuk gel. Metode yang digunakan merupakan eksperimental laboratorium dimana minyak kemiri diformulasikan dalam bentuk gel yang mengandung variasi konsentrasi zat aktif 15, 20 dan 25%, kemudian diuji aktivitas anti luka bakar pada tikus yang diinduksi plat panas. Pengamatan waktu penyembuhan luka dilakukan selama 21 hari setiap minggu. Hasil menunjukkan gel minyak kemiri 25% memberikan hasil penyembuhan luka bakar yang hampir sebanding dengan kontrol positif Burnazin®. Seluruh formula gel minyak kemiri memenuhi syarat uji formula dan memiliki aktivitas dalam mengobati luka bakar dan menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan terhadap kelompok uji kontrol negatif. Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park (Tahura WAR) is an area to maintain nutrient cycling and a center for preservation of biodiversity in Lampung Province, one part of its management is a collection block that functions t            o conserve plants, including lianas. Therefore, this study aims to determine the type of liana, the type of support for the liana and the form of association between the liana plant and its supports. The research was conducted with a systematic double plot survey method with a sampling intensity of 2%. The data obtained were analyzed the level of association using the Ochiai Index (OI). The results showed that there were 5 types of lianas in the collection block, namely Piper nigrum, Piper betle, Vanilla planifolia, Passiflora edulis, and Mikania micrantha. Furthermore, 15 types of lianas were found, namely, Ceiba petandra, Theobroma cacao, Durio zibethinus, Hevea brasiliensis, Gnetum gnemon, Persea americana, Pithecellobium lobatum, Gliricidia sepium, Dalbergia latifolia, Naphelium lappiosa, Aleurites moluccana, Cocos speciosa, and nucifera and Intsia palembanica. The real associations in the research location between lianas and their supporting plants were durian and pepper, durian with betel, rubber with sembung, tangkil and sembung, jengkol with pepper, and sonokeling with passion fruit.

Candlenut (Aleurites moluccana) is a plant with various benefits. Currently, candlenut is mostly used as a spice, candlenut shells also has a high calorific value so that it can be used as fuel. Candlenut has shells which is an organic waste. Candlenut shells have a hard texture and high carbon content. Most of the candlenut shell is used as fuel and only a small part is used as raw material for carbon production. Candlenut shell have good physical and chemical properties as carbon raw materials. Activated carbon is one of the carbon phases that can be used for various applications. In this paper, we report on the synthesis and characterization of carbon from candlenut shells to obtain high-quality carbon by controlling the carbonization temperature. In carbon production, we use variations in carbonization temperatures of 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 C. Proximate analysis was carried out to determine the moisture content, ash content, volatile matter content and bound carbon content. Analysis of the effect of carbonization temperature on the quality of carbon from candlenut shells resulted in the highest carbon in the sample with a temperature of 700 C, producing carbon with 5.32% moisture content, 9.40% ash content, 12.76% volatile matter content, and fix carbon content 72,52%

Utilization of biomass as biopellet is a solution for the creation of renewable alternative energy. So that a research was conducted on the manufacture of biopellets from waste shells of candlenut (Aleurites moluccana) with a mixture of waste biomass from sago stems (Metroxylon sago) and sawdust. This study aims to determine the quality and determine the composition of the best raw materials in biopellets. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with four treatments and five replications. The raw materials are dried for 3 days, then mashed and filtered, then the raw materials are mixed with adhesive and printed, the last parameter is tested. The results showed that the water content, calorific value, and volatile matter content of the biopellet met the SNI standard. 8021:2014. However, in the density and ash content test, the biopellet did not meet the SNI 8021:2014 standard. The best biopellet composition was obtained in treatment P2 with the addition of 10% of the total weight of biomass with a moisture content of 9.96%, density 0.31g/cm3, calorific value 4.232 cal/g, and ash content 11.3%, and volatile matter content of 73 ,69%

Penelitian ini berjudul “Potensi Dan Pemanfaatan Hasil Hutan Bukan Kayu ( HHBK) Kemiri (Aleurites moluccana) Dikawasan BKPH Tambora Kabupaten Bima” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh variabel Potensi dan Pemanfaatan Hasil Hutan Bukan Kayu Kemiri danpen dapatan masyarakat dikawasan BKPH Tambora Kabupaten Bima. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survei. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dokumentasi dan wawancara. Sedangkan alat pengumpulan data menggunakan Kuisioner. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah semua masyarakat yang memanfaatkan hasil hutan bukan kayu berupa Kemiri di seputaran BKPH Tambora.Adapun variable yang di analisis yakni potensi hasil hutan bukan kayu (kemiri) dan pendapatan masyarakat. Analisis Data yang diperoleh ditabulasikan dan dianalisis secara deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai bentuk pemanfaatan kemiri, pendapatan masyarakat dan analisis pemasaran di lokasi tempat dilaksanakan penelitian. Hasil analisis menunjukkan Masyarakat disekitar BKPH Tambora menganggap kemiri selain dari mata pecarian mereka, kemiri juga dimanfaatkan. Kemiri juga dikenal sebagai candlenut karena fungsinya sebagai bahan penerangan. Kegunaan kemiri sangat beragam. Bagian tanaman kemiri dapat dimanfaatkan untuk keperluan manusia. Batang, daunnya dapat digunakan sebagai obat tradisonal, tempurung bijinya digunakan untuk obat nyamuk bakar dan arang, sedangkan bijinya digunakan sebagai minyak rambut, bumbu masak, dan juga penghasil minyak.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the growth of candlenut seeds (Aleurites moluccana L. Willd) in open land after being given shade treatment in the nursery. The method used for observing the growth of candlenut seedlings is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment in the nursery was shade levels consisting of 0%, 25%, 50% and 75%. Each treatment consisted of five samples and each treatment was repeated three times so that 4 × 5 × 3 = 60 seedlings were needed. Subsequent research was conducted on open land with 100% sunlight intensity. The parameters measured were height, diameter and number of leaves. Based on observations of candlenut seedlings in open land after being given shade treatment at the nursery for 12 weeks showed that the percentage of seedling life was 80%. The results of the variance analysis showed that the shade treatment significantly affected the growth of candlenut seedling height, but had no effect on the increase in diameter and the number of leaves.Keywords: Candlenut seedling growth; Open land; Shade

Kesehatan merupakan hal penting untuk menjalankan aktivitas sehari-hari. Penurunan kesehatan dan daya tahan tubuh mengakibatkan timbul rasa nyeri serta mudah terserang penyakit. Pengobatan herbal digunakan sebagai pengobatan alternatif yang lebih aman dan terjangkau dibandingkan pengobatan nonherbal dari bahan-bahan kimia. Kemiri merupakan salah satu tanaman herbal yang memiliki banyak khasiat dan sering digunakan sebagai pengobatan oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari efektivitas infusa kemiri sebagai analgesik dan stimulator stamina dalam berbagai dosis pada mencit. Uji efektivitas analgesik ditinjau menggunakan metode hot water immersion tail-flick test dan uji efektivitas stamina menggunakan metode natatory enhausen. Penelitian ini menggunakan 20 ekor mencit jantan yang dikelompokkan menjadi kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan yang diberi infusa kemiri dengan dosis 1, 2, dan 4 g/kg BB. Setiap kelompok terdiri atas 5 ekor. Data dianalisis menggunakan analysis of variance (ANOVA) kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey. Hasil penelitian didapatkan dosis efektif pada uji analgesik adalah 4 g/kg BB dengan waktu respons nyeri ekor terlama yaitu 7.840±0.477 detik dan pada uji stamina adalah 1 g/kg BB yang ditunjukkan dengan durasi berenang terlama yaitu 145.00±20.65 detik. Kemiri memiliki efektivitas terhadap analgesik dan stimulator stamina.
