The aim of the paper is a work characteristics of innovative technological circuit for production and beneficiation of minerals aggregates. Investigative programme included separation of chalcedonite aggregate with particle size range 2-4 mm, 2-8 mm and 8-16 mm,upstream separated into regular and irregular particles. Tests were conducted in a dedicated separation device of light fractions (SEL)constructed in in HTS Gliwice, within the frames of “Formator Puls” project.

To solve the problem of large operating noise of existing pyrotechnic separation devices, a new low-noise pyrotechnic separation device is designed by changing the utilisation mode of pyrotechnic separation, using micro gas pyrotechnic as heat sources, and shape memory alloy material to convert heat energy into mechanical energy. The results showed that the separation time was 1.526 s when the preload was 20 kN, and the maximum shock response was 319 G (2268 Hz) for 100 Hz–100 kHz. When used underwater, the maximum sound pressure level is 106.9 dB at 12,698 Hz and 98.5 dB from 10 Hz–5 kHz. Compared with a conventional separation nut, the frequency band sound pressure level can be reduced by more than 70 dB, realising underwater low-noise separation.

To solve the problem of increasing the efficiency of cleaning the exhaust air of painting chambers from fine particles, a separation device with elements of a square and rectangular shape has been developed and described by the principles of its operation. A method for calculating the design dimensions of the developed separation device is presented. Different versions of the height of the separation zone are considered, depending on the size of dispersed particles. It is shown that the device is able to capture particles smaller than 10 microns with an efficiency close to 100 %, provided they adhere to the walls. The peculiarity of the design of the separation device is that a set of small-diameter vortices is created, in which the flow regime is close to laminar, and to achieve large values of centrifugal force, it is not necessary to create high speeds in the crevices.

The potato-soil separation device comprising five function areas (i.e., shearing, bending, throwing, cleaning, and conveying) was developed to address the mentioned problems (e.g., soil with high moisture content, large viscosity, and poor separation efficacy) in the harvesting process for winter idle paddy fields of Southern China. Given the kinetic analyses for the potato-soil mixture of five function areas, the crucial factors of the effect of potato-soil separation were determined. Subsequently, the orthogonal test of 4 factors and 3 levels was performed, and the percentage of small soil λ, the percentage of soil adhering to potato tuber γ, and damage rate of potato tuber K were adopted as assessment indexes. Regression analyses and programming for the orthogonal test result were conducted to optimize the device run parameters, and the optimal run parameters included the rotational speed of the soil-crushing mechanism of 84.18 r/min, linear velocity of second-stage lifting chain of 0.75 m/s, and inclination angle of lifting chain of 15.87°. The field experiments were performed with the modified potato harvester. As indicated from the result, the visible potato rate was 94.31% and damage rate of potato was 0.89%, and the requirement of the national standard was satisfied. This study presented technical feasibility data and equipment for potato-soil separation under sticky soils condition.

Abstract Aiming at the problems of low efficiency and poor sanitation of manual cover opening and meat digging in the production of common orange tea, a multi station full-automatic meat digging machine for common orange tea is designed to realize the automatic cover opening and pulp separation device of green orange, so as to meet the production of common orange tea in Xinhui District of Jiangmen. The mechanism of peel stress and pulp separation damage of green citrus in the process of mechanical meat digging was studied. The state of peel contact deformation area of green Citrus under the extrusion of meat digging knife was analyzed by simulation, and the structural and operating parameters of de jacking and opening mechanism and meat digging mechanism were optimized. When the extrusion force was less than 35.6n, the peel damage rate could be minimized. Compared with manual operation, it reduces labor cost and production cost, saves processing time, and realizes automatic and rapid production.

Abstract Both n-butane and iso-butane are important petrochemical raw materials, and their separation is of great significance and full of challenge because of their close boiling characteristic. The ZIF-8 slurry formed with a novel mixed solvent M-water solution as sorption media was adopted to separate the mixture with high efficiency. The iso-/n-butane selectivity of ZIF-8/M-water slurries is as high as 890 with high kinetic performance, even transcending the upper limit of the new materials or membranes. More encouragingly, continuous pilot separation device was established and test results show that the purity and recovery ratio of iso-butane product achieved 99.46 mol% and 87% respectively, which are remarkably superior to the corresponding performance (98.56 mol% and 54%) of the industrial distillation tower. To our best knowledge, this is the first industrial pilot test using MOFs for gas separation, and also an important step forward to the commercial application of MOFs in gas separation.

Abstract This paper presents a set of activities to reduce water cut and develop a technical solution to measure water cut: measurement of watercut, flow rates and gas-oil ratio of a well output using a mobile unit. tracer tests and conformance control operations - watercut of reacting wells within Bashkirian stage decreased by 16,6% after those operations were performed. water flow control, flow deviation and remedying production casing damages made it possible to reduce extraction of produced water and, accordingly, the cost of oil production. development of Liquid Phase Separation Device enabled alternate delivery of oil and water to the intake of downhole pump.
