Background: The new coronavirus led the world into the pandemic known as COVID-19. Still, without any effective treatment, oxygen therapy is the most used treatment for patients. Without proper management of this medicinal gas, lives can be lost for lack of it. Aim: Find an indicator of a strong correlation with oxygen consumption. Methods: A single-center retrospective study, that evaluated the oxygen consumption billing data and patient-day indicator of Central Institute of HCFMUSP between 2019 and 2020. Results: A total of 380,245 patient days were analyzed. A strong correlation was identified between oxygen consumption and patient day with invasive mechanical ventilation (0.92). An average of 41.6 (± 7.8) cubic meters per patient day with invasive mechanical ventilation was found. Conclusion: There is a strong correlation between oxygen consumption in cubic meters and patient days with invasive mechanical ventilation at the Central Institute of HCFMUSP. The first isolation of the TBEV in Kazakhstan was achieved in the Almaty region by M.P. Chumakov in 1941 (only one strain from one patient) during the expedition organized by the Central Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology (Moscow). This is proof that the clinically well-described “spring-summer encephalitis” in the Almaty region was in fact TBE. Later, in 1943, 1944 and 1945 the TBEV was also isolated from additional patients by local scientists from the Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Laboratory of Virology in Alma-Ata by Prof. E. I. Demikhovsky. Isolation had been accomplished from CSF samples up to 8 days of illness and also from brain tissue on day 12.1

AbstractThe goal of this work is to further increase the use, by all the stakeholders, of well-established and official cataloguing methods for the preservation, valorisation and study of naturalistic heritage. The work describes the standards of the Central Institute for Cataloguing and Documentation (ICCD) for cataloguing the Italian mineralogical, petrological and planetological heritage to the community of scientists, curators and museum practitioners. This work then provides an overview of the geoscientific heritage already catalogued through these standards and freely available for study and research purposes on the SIGECweb online database. Finally, the importance of a standardized cataloguing—in the comprehension of the historical, cultural and ethical aspects relative to the conservation and valorisation of the geoscientific heritage—will also be highlighted.
