URGENSI PENGETAHUAN PARENTING SKILL ISLAMI BAGI ORANG TUA UNTUK PEMBINAAN AKHLAK ANAK

Morals are one of the important things in everyday human life. Having good morals will be accompanied by good teaching and learning activities as well. Parents have a big enough share and are very important for the formation of children's character/personality, especially when they are still at an early age. The knowledge of parenting skills is not only obtained or learned from one party, but from both parties (Father and Mother) must agree on values that can help or hone these parenting skills for parents. The things or values that can be passed down to children are: (1) be a good role model for children, (2) always be calm, (3) always explain the consequences of good and bad behavior in children, (4) encourage children to build self-esteem, (5) Say and show the unconditional love of parents to children.

The Impact of Instagram Mommy Blogger Content on the Perceived Self-Efficacy of Mothers

The prominence of social media in contemporary life has led more mothers to search for parenting information through various Internet and social media channels. The following study examines the impact that Instagram mommy blog content has on the perceived parenting skill of the typical American mother. In this experiment, participants were exposed to one of two types of Instagram motherhood blogger content. The first type of content did not address the struggles of motherhood (referred to as an “alpha-mom” blogger content), while the second type of content (referred to as a “realistic” blogger content) did. After reviewing the content, participants will be asked a series of Likert-type scale questions to gauge their perceived parenting skill. We hypothesized that participants who were exposed to the “alpha-mom” content would have a lower belief in their own parenting skill than those who were exposed to content from the “realistic” blogger. The hypothesis was not supported. However, we did find that participants who received some of their parenting information from Internet sources had a lower belief in their parenting skill than participants who did not receive their parenting information from online sources, regardless of the content to which they were exposed.

PARENTING SKILL DI DESA SUKAHARJA KECAMATAN TELUK JAMBE TIMUR

Selama tahun-tahun pertama kehidupan merupakan periode yang unik bagi perkembangan manusia. Untuk memastikan hasil yang terbaik bagi perkembangan anak, orang tua menghadapi tantangan untuk menyeimbangkan kasih sayang dan tuntutan disiplin agar dapat mengoptimalkan kemampuan dan keberfungsian anak. Mengembangkan pola asuh yang sesuai selama tahun-tahun pertama kehidupan seorang anak merupakan hal yang menantang terutama bagi orang tua baru atau bagi orang tua yang bekerja. Maka perlu diadakan pengabdian tentang pola asuh agar dapat memberikan edukasi kepada orang tua menuju keseimbangan dalam mendidikan dan membesarkan anak. Program kegiatan ini berupa pengisian data kuesioner potensi dan perkembangan desa terkait profil desa berkelanjutan. Narasumber untuk pengisian kuesioner ini adalah dosen psikologi dan memaparkan materi tentang pola asuh dari sudut pandang psikologi. Peserta pengabdian ini adalah orang tua di Desa Sukaharja dan untuk membantu orang tua terutama orang tua baru untuk dapat menerapkan pola asuh yang baik pada anak agar anak dapat perkembangan anak menjadi optimal. To ensure the best possible outcome for their child's development, parents face the challenge of balancing love and discipline in order to optimize children's abilities and functioning. Developing appropriate parenting during the first years of a child's life can be especially challenging for new parents or working parents. So it is necessary to hold service about parenting in order to provide education to parents towards balance in educating and raising children. This activity program is in the form of filling out questionnaire data on village potential and development related to sustainable village profiles. The resource person for filling out this questionnaire was a psychology lecturer and explained material about parenting from a psychological perspective. Participants of this service are parents in Sukaharja Village and to help parents, especially new parents, to be able to apply good parenting to their children so that their child can develop optimally. Effect of Therapist Coaching Statements on Parenting Skills in a Brief Parenting Intervention for Infants

Behavioral parenting interventions have been shown to decrease early childhood behavior problems by improving parenting skills. Few studies have examined the impact of therapist coaching statements on parenting skill acquisition, especially among ethnic minority families and non-English-speaking families. In this study, we examined therapists’ use of responsive and directive coaching statements during the first coaching session in a brief parenting intervention, the Infant Behavior Program (IBP), on changes in parenting skill acquisition. Participants were 24 mothers of 12- to 15-month-olds, with elevated levels of behavioral problems from primarily Latinx and low-income backgrounds. Mothers who heard more responsive coaching from their therapist showed greater increases in positive parenting skills. Spanish-speaking therapists used fewer responsive coaching statements and more commands, however, language spoken did not moderate the effect of these statements on changes in parenting skills. Responsive coaching statements in English and Spanish had a positive impact on parenting skill acquisition.

Parenting Skill Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Orangtua tentang Pembentukan Karakter Disiplin Anak Prasekolah

Karakter disiplin anak merupakan hal yang harus dibentuk sejak dini. Orang tua berperan utama dalam membentuk karakter disiplin pada anak, karenanya orang tua harus memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang memadai untuk melakukannya. Parenting skill merupakan salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan untuk dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua tentang pembentukan karakter disiplin pada anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik eksperimental dengan desain pretest and posttest without control group. Sampel yang diteliti sejumlah 41 ibu yang memiliki anak uia prasekolah terpilih menjadi responden dengan pengumpulan data sebanyak dua kali untuk mengetahui pengetahuan orang tua tentang pembentukan karakter disiplin pada anak preschool. Hasil uji wilcoxon rank test didapatkan adanya peningkatan nilai pengetahuan orang tua tentang pembentukan karakter disiplin pada anak sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan parenting skill (nilai p: 0.0001). perlu dilakukan upaya-upaya pemberian edukasi teknik parenting skill kepada orang tua untuk lebih meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua tentang pembentukan karakter disiplin pada anak, sehingga dapat tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal dan memiliki karakter disiplin yang kuat.

Parenting Skill untuk Meningkatkan Kepedulian Orang Tua dalam Parenting Education di SD 19 Parambahan

ABSTRACTParenting is a very big influence on children's growth and development, both in the physical, linguistic, social, emotional and cognitive aspects of children, besides parenting also affects the behavior and achievement of children in school. Inappropriate parenting towards children will cause various problems in children ranging from behavioral problems, social relationships, emotional problems, and academic problems while the right parenting will make children grow and develop according to the stage of development. The purpose of this community service activity is that parents at SDN 19 Parambahan can find out the right care for children in accordance with the stages of child development. This activity was carried out using lecture, film analysis and answer methods. Pola asuh yang tidak tepat terhadap anak akan mengakibatkan berbagai masalah pada anak mulai dari masalah perilaku, hubungan sosial, masalah emosi, dan masalah akademik sedangkan pola asuh (parenting) yang tepat akan menjadikan anak tumbuh dan berkembang sesuai dengan tahap perkembangannya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini agar para orang tua di SDN 19 Parambahan dapat mengetahui cara pengasuhan yang tepat terhadap anak sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan anak. kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, analisis film dan tannya jawab.kegiatan ini dianggap berhasil karena berdasarkan hasil wawancara orang tua menyatakan banyak ilmu yang mereka dapatkan selama kegiatan, karena kebanyakan dari mereka tidak pernah mendapatkan parenting skill sebelumnya.Kata kunci: pengasuhan, orang tua, sekolah dasar
