Abstract The aim of this research to determine effect of the application ARICESA on student teacher achievement motivation and understanding of basic concepts. The subjects in this study were 34 students in the Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, Universitas Bhinneka PGRI Indonesia. One group pretest-posttest design was used in this study. The achievement motivation of prospective teachers is measured by a motivational questionnaire and understanding of basic concepts is measured by a conceptual test of concept understanding as a pre-test and post-test. Data analysis with t-test and prerequisite test and N-gains core. The results showed a significant increase in motivation effect for 5 indicators of achievement motivation with moderate criteria with an N-gain value range of 0.62 to 0.66 and the normalized mean N-gain is 0.65 in the medium criteria. There is a significant effect of increasing understanding of basic science concepts with a range of N-gain coefficients from 0.72 to 0.77 and a normalized average N-gain of 0.75 with high criteria.

Professional accountant certification is one way that accounting students can later be recognized as professional accountants. Unfortunately, not all accounting students are interested in joining professional accountant certification. This study aims to determine whether economic motivation, degree motivation, quality motivation and understanding of accounting affect the interest of accounting students to take professional accountant certification. In this study uses primary datahad no, which were obtained through questionnaires distributed directly and also through student e-mails to the accounting students at Satya Wacana Christian University (SWCU). This research uses purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is binary logistic regression analysis. The results showed that degree motivation effect the interest of accounting students to take professional accountant certification. Meanwhile, economic motivation, quality motivation and understanding of accounting do not effect on interest of accounting students to take professional accountant certification.Keyword(s):  Professional accountant certification, Economic motivation, Degree motivation, Quality motivation, Understanding of accounting

This research intends to determine the effect of job training and work motivation on performance at PT. Aksata Satya Pratama. To produce quality employees and good performance, companies need to pay attention to increasing knowledge by providing job training. The job training program at PT. Aksata Satya Pratama is still not optimal so that it has an impact on decreased employee performance. Respondents in this research were 40 people and used census techniques. Testing data in this research used validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test (multicollinearity test), multiple linear regression test and hypothesis testing and data analysis in this research using SPSS version 19 program. The results of the research show that job training variables have a negative value (H1 is rejected) and work motivation has a positive value (H2 is accepted). This means that the training variable has no influence on employee performance and work motivation has an influence on employee performance by 67.1%. So, it is stated that job training has no significant effect on employee performance while work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance. In this research, researchers concluded that employee performance will increase supported by employee motivation by factors of work results that are recognized as proven by employees being able to complete various kinds of work.

Sustainable science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education involves lifelong education in various domains. Active learning strategies are receiving increased attention as an important tool, and particularly online-based formative assessment interfaces, although challenges to their use remain in sustainable and flipped STEM education. In this research, we observed pre-service teachers’ (PSTs’) performance and motivation in a university STEM course that was planned as a randomized examination of 71 students during a 2017/2018 course with an online interface for sustainable and flipped formative assessment. In terms of PSTs’ standardized performance and the motivation effect survey, we gathered and examined the data to observe pre- and post-test results on adaptive assignments. Additionally, feedback from/to instructors and their log records were recorded by the proposed interface. The results demonstrate the PSTs’ positive performance and motivation, and the feedback and log records reiterate its positive influence with 98.6% participation in the sustainable and flipped online formative assessment interface. Consequently, the foremost drawbacks and challenges that current and traditional STEM education are facing are meaningfully reflected by the results obtained. Thus, the platform allows PSTs to be more involved in experimental contexts and validates learning performance, and the motivations effect survey provides a sustainable and active learning methodology for their future profession.

Civil apparatus of the state should remain optimal in providing service to the community at the time of running work from home as a pandemic impact of Covid-19. Bureaucratic performance should also be maintained to ensure government programs can be directly perceived by the public. Governments are required to be able to apply flexible work patterns from two sides. That is flexible from the side of the work implementation, and flexible from the user side that in this case is the community.  Despite working from home, the state civil apparatus is required to be able to provide optimal performance. This research seeks to see the motivation influence of state civil apparatus on their performance either directly or through disciplinary variables. Quantitative design has been adopted for this study using survey questionnaires prepared based on the Likert Scale (strongly disagree -1 and 5 to strongly agree). The sample size consists of 100 state civil apparatuses and is processed using PLS. The results of this study concluded that direct motivation does not affect performance, but indirectly through discipline, motivation can influence a significant effect at the overall performance of civil apparatus of the state

Abstract Background Practitioners and researchers may not always be able to adequately evaluate the evidential value of findings from a series of independent studies. This is partially due to the possibility of inflated effect size estimates for these findings as a result of researcher manipulation or selective reporting of analyses (i.e., p-hacking). In light of the possible overestimation of effect sizes in the literature, the p-curve analysis has been proposed as a worthwhile tool that may help identify bias across a series of studies focused on a single effect. The p-curve analysis provides a measure of the evidential value in the published literature and might highlight p-hacking practices. Purpose Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to introduce the mechanics of the p-curve analysis to individuals researching phenomena in the psychosocial aspects of behavior and provide a substantive example of a p-curve analysis using findings from a series of studies examining a group dynamic motivation gain paradigm. Methods We performed a p-curve analysis on a sample of 13 studies that examined the Köhler motivation gain effect in exercise settings as a means to instruct readers how to conduct such an analysis on their own. Results The p-curve for studies examining the Köhler effect demonstrated evidential value and that this motivation effect is likely not a byproduct of p-hacking. The p-curve analysis is explained, as well as potential limitations of the analysis, interpretation of the results, and other uses where a p-curve analysis could be implemented.
