In this study the researcher wanted to know how important the roles carried out by trade unions for employees, as well as the problems related to industrial relations, where the problems of industrial relations became a hot issue discussed in the corporate environment.  In this research, the role of trade unions and problems in industrial relations were examined. The object of this research is employees at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero), the center of Bandung, has 80 people using census techniques. This study uses a questionnaire as a data  collection tool. The test used to test the research instrument in the form of validity and reliability testing. Data analysis using simple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient. The results show that the role of trade unions in solving industrial relations problems is in the sufficient category. The results of the calculation of the correlation, the variable union (X) against the variable industrial relations (Y) of 0.773 means that both variables have a positive and significant relationship. The coefficient of determination is 59.7% while the remaining 40.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Thus, the role carried out by trade unions is very important, but in carrying out its functions, trade unions have not been optimal in their duties to defend employee rights.

Abstract. The general census of population and housing is a statistical operation which consists in counting all the populations and all the dwellings of a given territory at a precise date which must produce data of interest to t users and this is the essential statistical purpose of their execution. Each operation executed during a census must have the goal of producing results that meet the needs of the users. The information collected in this way has several interests of the country. The census in Algeria is taken by the National Statistics Office (ONS) which is preparing its sixth General Census of Population and Housing (RGPH). The census is organized in four steps that are: Cartographic Preparation, Staff Training, Execution of the RGPH, and Exploitation.Algeria, in this year 2020 is in phase of preparation of the RGPH, this phase relates to the cartographic aspect and our contribution will relate to the elaboration of a geographic information system (GIS) This phase concerns the cartographic aspect and our contribution will focus on the development of a geographic information system (GIS) allowing the management of the first stage of the RGPH operation, the latter having a mainly cartographic aspect. The design and production of this BDG were made on the basis of the reflections resulting from a careful study of the manuals for this operation and interviews with the local managers of this. In this perspective, a bibliographical study was made to be inspired by the experiences of other countries, and to gain some insight into the techniques used in them. The tools offered by Open Source software represent an important alternative to find a solution to this problem. The information collected during this preparation phase is also important and is very useful for local actors to better understand the space and distribution of the population, which will allow a more rational management of resources. The objective of this paper is focus of the integration of spatial techniques in the census in Algeria while presenting the national office of statistics. An overview of census techniques in different countries is made to illustrate the know-how of this national office. The purpose of the general population census is to give the state a means that cannot be circumvented so that it can plan, among other things, the budget for the coming years according to the distribution of the population and its demographics.

Objective - The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between compensation and work environment on performance through job satisfaction. Methodology/Technique - The population in this study is 150 employees from a State-Owned Bank. The sampling method uses census techniques so that the number of samples used is 150 employees. The research data was collected using a questionnaire, which is then analyzed using a path analysis technique (SPSS software) to examine the relationships among the constructs, which are: compensation, work environment, job satisfaction and performance. Findings –The results of this study indicate that compensation has a significant relationship between job satisfaction, and the work environment has a significant relationship on job satisfaction. The results also prove that compensation has no relationship on performance, work environment has a significant relationship on performance, and job satisfaction has a significant relationship on performance. The results of this study also indicate that as an indirect effect, compensation has a significant relationship on performance through job satisfaction and the work environment has a significant relationship on performance through job satisfaction. Novelty - Previous studies have been carried out in many western countries, raising doubts about generalizations in the same research results in developing countries such as Indonesia. Therefore, the novelty in this study is carried out in the context of developing countries, especially in State-Owned Banks in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Type of Paper: Empirical. JEL Classification: L22, M12, M19. Keywords: Compensation; Work Environment; Job Satisfaction; Performance Reference to this paper should be made as follows: Daud, I; Afifah, N. (2021). Coral reef resilience is greatly influenced by herbivory. There is a need to identify key fish species fulfilling this critical function in biogeographically distinct regions. This experimental in situ study investigated fish herbivory in coral reefs of the lower Gulf of Thailand characterized by a considerably low herbivorous fish biomass and diversity, but high live coral and low macroalgal cover. This provided an intriguing situation for macroalgal browsing research. Visual census techniques assessed the abundance of local herbivorous fish species, and filmed single-choice assays using the macroalga Turbinaria evaluated mass-standardized bites (ms-bites) and biomass removal. Multiple-choice assays offering four locally abundant macroalgae identified specific biomass removal and ms-bites to uncover selection and avoidance patterns of observed fish species. The rabbitfish Siganusvirgatus constituted only 39% of herbivore biomass but accounted for 90% of ms-bites. In multiple-choice assays, fishes took most (61%) bites on Sargassum, followed by Padina (28%) and Turbinaria (11%), while Lobophora was avoided. S. virgatus exhibited the most generalized browsing pattern of all species observed. Coinciding with recent studies, our findings suggest that S. virgatus plays a key functional role in reefs characterized by low diversity of herbivores and low functional redundancy.
