The article analyzes the current state of the theory and practice of solving the issues related to the delivery of perishable goods by road. The author has determined that in order to improve the efficiency of cargo delivery, one of the promising directions is the development and application of transport delivery schemes, which take into account the change in consumer characteristics of perishable goods during transportation. Product losses during transportation must be taken into account when solving such problems as justifying the expediency of specialized rolling stock, choosing the method of transportation without transshipment, as well as when choosing the most rational delivery schemes. Losses of cargo are usually accounted for by the value of the actual losses and the value of the cargo. The article proposes the use of three schemes for the delivery of perishable cargo. The schemes differ in the way cargo is collected and the way goods are loaded into trucks. Also different are the types of vehicles that can be used in the delivery of goods under different schemes. The first scheme consists of the harvesting of peaches between the rows of the orchard by small tractors. The advantage of this scheme is the possibility of using heavy-duty vehicles with the achievement of maximum use of the capacity factor. Flatbed trucks are used for transportation. As a result of the accumulation of cargo at the point of loading, downtime is reduced by reducing the waiting time of cargo delivery. The second scheme is the need for in-line loading of vehicles in the fields of enterprises. Prefabricated routes for trucks and direct loading in the field are used. Application of the second scheme excludes the possibility of using heavy transport, because the movement will be made on unpaved roads. The need for in-line loading also eliminates the use of loading and unloading mechanisms. The third delivery scheme is similar to the first, but it is proposed to use specialized vehicles with a refrigerated chamber for transportation. As criterion of assessment of expediency of use of the offered schemes total expenses for cargo delivery are accepted taking into account possible losses from cargo damage, on the offered criterion it is expedient to estimate influence of such parameters, as volume of the cargo presented for transportation and length of the route.

Regularities of wear of mating of internal combustion engines operated in different conditions are discussed and analyzed. Regularities of wear of part mating in the process of technical operation of a motor vehicle are obtained. The correlation coefficients and the correspondence of the obtained regularities of wear to the experimental data have been determined. According to the research results, it was determined that during intercity transportation compared to transportation in settlements, the wear rate was lower by 47.7 % for cylinder liners, by 45.8 % for piston rings, by 40.12 % for connecting rod bearings and by 39.2 % for crankshaft necks. The research results can be applied when calculating connection resources in assembly units of machines.

This paper describes how the city of Rajshahi fought back air pollution through adopting mitigation measures by identifying every possible contributing factors of the pollution. The paper also includes how implementing battery operated rickshaw as a means of intercity transportation impacted the pollution level and contributed towards sustainable environment. The paper covers the details about the problem identification process and the mitigation measures taken by the engineers in the Rajshahi City Corporation. As a result of the steps taken, Rajshahi showed a 67.2% percent decline in concentration of PM10 particles, from 195 micrograms per cubic meter of air volume in 2014 to 64 micrograms for cubic meters. This was the largest percentage reduction in PM10 concentration worldwide. PM2.5 concentration also nearly halved from 70 micrograms per cubic meter to micrograms per cubic meter. The report where this achievement was announced was published by World Health Organization (WHO). By analyzing the discussion it was concluded that Rajshahi was a model city and can be considered as a benchmark and ideal for other cities to follow to reduce air pollution and create a sustainable environment.

Effective organization of intercity transportation largely depends on optimization of the operational search for cargo for the transit component of the route. Carriers have the opportunity to get additional income with minimal additional costs, and transport customers get the opportunity to transport at minimum tariffs. Information interaction systems of transport market participants are used for rapid search of goods and transport. Automation of the processes of information interaction of transport market participants will significantly increase the efficiency of such information systems [1, 2]. A two-level model of information interaction is proposed, which at the first level considers the interaction «carrier-customer», and at the second one operational interaction at the level «transport-cargo». This approach allows you to automate the formation of pairs not only taking into account the technological compatibility of the cargo (application for transportation) and the vehicle, but also taking into account such non-technological parameters as reliability, payment terms, the tax system used. Based on the proposed two-level model, a modified algorithm of the minimum concessions method is proposed. Preservation of stability of pairs when using this algorithm is justified. Based on formation of a data set of actions (decisions) of customer managers and carriers, it is possible to form neural networks that minimize routine actions in the interregional transportation market and increase efficiency of information interaction.

The disruption of an intercity transportation network will seriously influence the economic activities and communication between cities. At the regional or national transportation network level, in most cases, there is no link redundancy because of the high construction cost of the extra transportation infrastructure, so the impacts caused by the disruption of regional intercity transportation networks should be paid more attention. This paper proposes an accessibility-based method to analyze the vulnerability of multimode transportation networks. The measurement captures the influence of the disruption of network components in terms of the travel cost, socio-economic impacts, and level of transportation service of cities, and besides the network vulnerability analysis, it can also be used in the analysis of city relationships and development status of cities, providing a reference direction of the sustainable development for the city cluster. Finally, with the rapid application of high-speed trains in China, a preliminary study of the public transportation network of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region is conducted to illustrate the applicability of the evaluating method. The results show that the proposed measurement can be used to analyze the transportation network from the perspective of socio-economic impacts and level of transportation service, providing a reference for network planners and managers.

Evaluating and  increasing the quality of public transport services, especially in the transport of AKDP in East Java is necessary. This study tries to (1) identify and analyze the quality of services; (2) to see the result of community satisfaction survey index (SKM); (3) The highest and lowest effects of the variables on the result of SKM index. The elements of assessment and qualitative descriptive analysis tools refer to KEP / 25 / M.PAN / 2/2004 on guidelines for the preparation of the Community Satisfaction Index and the Ministry decree No. 16 Year 2014, with nine (9) elements of the SKM assessment. This study determines the accidental sample by a random sampling technique that was done proportionally on 221 respondents.
