This work contains the fundamental components of the CMI Balanced Scorecard Tool, proposed by Kaplan and Norton (2009) as a theoretical and practical foundation that allows a model based on substantive functions and applicable in Higher Technological Institutes, using all the basic concepts of the Strategic Plan under four points of view: Teaching, Research, Community Relations and Administrative-Financial. The adoption of appropriate strategic management models in higher education institutions is of exceptional importance, therefore it was sought to evaluate the management and propose a management model based on the CMI at the Juan Bautista Aguirre Higher Technological Institute. The applied methodology was of a qualitative approach with a non-experimental design and descriptive scope. The sample was made up of principals and educators, chosen through non-probability sampling. Institutional management was evaluated through SWOT analysis and surveys approved by Cronbach's alpha, acquiring as a table results strategies that incorporate and dynamize the institutional mission and vision through the CMI and the strategic map whose indicators will be able to measure the performance of the related objectives from strategic perspectives. It is concluded that the evaluation detected dissatisfaction of the personnel in relation to the management system and the proposed CMI will establish the objectives, indicators and strategic goals with an adequate alignment, which would result in an improvement of the strategic management of this institution.

The article discusses the problem of developing means that can increase the efficiency of mecha-nization of the process of preparing liquid feed in animal husbandry. Design bureaus, research and technological institutes for mechanization and electrification of agriculture have developed new progressive technologies, as well as kits, units, machines and apparatus for animal husbandry and fodder production. On the basis of this technique, complex mechanization of farms is being intro-duced and livestock complexes with industrial production technology are being created. But recent-ly, the widespread use of domestic machines for the preparation of liquid feed mixtures has not been presented. Therefore, an experimental setup that combines three functions: a batcher, a pump and a mixer is proposed. It ultimately allows to obtain a mixture of good quality. The article pro-vides a program and research methodology for the setup. For this, a special test bench has been de-veloped. It makes possible to determine the parameters of the mixture quality and the specific con-sumption of electrical energy. As a search for the optimal combination of factors for the optimiza-tion criteria: the degree of homogeneity and the specific consumption of electrical energy, plan 32 was chosen. Experimental studies have shown the range of supply of the installation at different speeds of rotation of the impeller shaft. Mixing studies have confirmed the effectiveness of the de-sign of the plant and its components: dispenser, pump and mixer. With the help of experimental planning methods, the main factors influencing the mixing process are identified, and the optimal parameters of the mixture quality are determined. According to the studies of the continuous intro-duction of components in an experimental setup for the preparation of liquid feed mixtures, it was obtained that the optimal combinations of factors would be the water temperature t = 26 ... 38 oC and the rotation frequency n = 1500 ... 1650 min-1, while the degree of homogeneity reaches Θ = 94,6% and unit costs of electric energy Eel = 0.198 kWh / t.d. h.

Purpose: The present study provides an insight into the issue of social well-being of emerging adults in the Indian context and introduces time perspective (TP) as an individual factor that could influence it. Design/Methodology/Approach: The present study is basically correlational in nature. Data were collected from 130 participants; of these, 84.61 per cent ( n = 110) were male and 15.38 per cent ( n = 20) female. The mean age of students was 18.5 years; all are the students of different technological institutes of Roorkee. The responses of the participants had been collected using two questionnaires: Zimbardo time inventory (Zimbardo & Boyd, 1999, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 77(6), 1271–1288) and social well-being inventory (Keyes, 1998). Multiple regression analysis was used for data analysis. Findings: The results demonstrated that future TP emerges as a significant predictor of social well-being. Originality/Value: The study offers a model that extends the scope of previous researches in the field of social health. It provides a new research paradigm to the area of emerging adulthood and introduces some individual factors that could produce variance in emerging adults’ social well-being.

In recent years, the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) has established new standards for the issuance of Digital Bachelor Degree Certificates titles by educational institutions and their registration with the Directorate General of Professions (DGP). Currently, the Technological Institute of the South of Guanajuato (ITSUR) through the academic body of Software Development under software engineering methodologies, is completing the first stage of developing an application to issue, sign and register digital bachelor degree certificates before the DGP. This application does not have any module that allows access to the student or general public interested in their validity. Therefore, it is required to develop new modules that require the student to follow up on the process, download the degree certificate and the graphic representation, as well as allow those employers or affected to verify the validity of a degree. The methodology to use will be iterative and incremental, to divide the project into iterations that generate increases in value and achieve stabilization in less time. This new version will have greater impact, as it may be distributed to other Technological Institutes that have implemented the Integral School Control System (SICE) owned by ITSUR and thus reduce the gap in the issuance of digital degree certificates.

Strategic management research has demonstrated the importance of firm- and industry structure as drivers of firm profitability. However, less is known about how firms´ geographical locations affect profitability. Applying a multi-level approach of hierarchical linear modeling we estimated firm-, industry-, and region-specific effects on profitability of 3,273 agri-food firms operating in different Spanish districts over the time span 2006-2013. The results reveal the dominance of firm-specific effects which contribute up to 48.8% to variance in firm profitability while the contribution of industry effects (0.8-4.2%), geographical location (0.1-1.8%), and year effects (0.1-2.5%) is rather small. Moreover, firm size, risk, and innovative activity turn out as significant profit drivers at the firm level. Although firm-effects outweigh industry- and region-specific factors, the results indicate that industry concentration as well as regional education and unemployment influence profitability. In addition, proximity to technological institutes as well as the degree of urbanization of the region in which a firm operates can be drivers of profitability. Hence, despite the superiority of firm effects the results indicate that agri-food managers should also consider possible advantages from location-based resources in order to ensure competitiveness.

It can be argued that higher education (HE) in Greece has always been problematic and dysfunctional in the post-dictatorship era (1974-2008). This is evident from the fact that Greek governments have failed to reform HE according to the EU standards despite the public demand and industry needs. Additionally the existence of a large number of state universities and technological institutes (TEIs) in combination with the phenomena of: nepotism, favouritism, trade unionism, political involvement, and the creation of unnecessary departments in rural areas in order to satisfy the local voters support this argument. This chapter describes the current situation of HE in Greece. It discusses the challenges that staff, students and the government face from the impact of the economic crisis. In addition, it provides an overview of the effects of the changes in HE on the society. Finally, it explores the prospects and opportunities that exist for HE policy makers, staff and students; especially in terms of their future employability.
