This study investigated a pre-cooled turbojet engine for a Mach 5 class hypersonic transport aircraft. The engine was demonstrated under takeoff and Mach 2 flight conditions, and a Mach 5 propulsion wind tunnel test is planned. The engine is composed of a pre-cooler, a core engine, and an afterburner. The engine was tested under simulated Mach 4 conditions using an air supply facility. High-temperature air under high pressure was supplied to the engine components through an airflow control valve and an orifice flow meter, and liquid hydrogen was supplied to the pre-cooler and the core engine. The results confirmed that the starting sequence of the engine components was effective under simulated Mach 4 conditions using liquid hydrogen fuel. The pre-cooling effect caused no damage to the rotating parts of the core engine in the experiment.

The corrosions caused by sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) are serious problems in petroleum exploitation and transportation, which can lead to safety problems, environmental pollutions, and economic losses. Here, a charge-reversal surfactant antibiotic material N-dodecyl-1-carboxylic acid-1-cyclohexenyl-2-carboxamide (C12N-DCA) is designed and synthesized. C12N-DCA is a negatively charged surfactant, which cannot be adsorbed by soil and rock in a large amount. Therefore, it can reach the “lesion location”, with enough concentration. After being hydrolyzed and charge reversed under the acceleration of H2S produced by SRB, C12N-DCA becomes a positively charged surfactant dodecane ammonium salt to kill SRB. Through a simulating experiment, it is found that C12N-DCA can reach the SRB inhibition ratio of almost 100%, and it can reduce iron corrosion by 88%. Such an antibiotic material or its homologs may be added to the chemical flooding fluids, killing SRB during petroleum exploitation and reducing the SRB-induced corrosion in the petroleum exploitation and transportation.

Thermal recovery is a common and effective method for producing heavy oil. Casing failure is a serious problem in thermal recovery wells. In view of this problem, it is proposed the technique of casing cementing with internal pre-expansion for thermal recovery well. It refers to exert inner pressure on payzone production casing or heat payzone production casing to a certain temperature and make payzone production casing expand in cement solidifying period. We developed simulating experiment table according to field practice and pre-expansion cementing theory. It can simulate cementing technology with conventional, half warm-up and internal pre-pressurization cementing technology, also include steam injection and production process. The technique will be an important foundation for the following field tests and its application.

The rollover accidents induced by severe maneuvers are very dangerous and mostly happen to vehicles with elevated center of gravity, such as heavy-duty trucks and pickup trucks. Unfortunately, it is hard for drivers of those vehicles to predict and prevent the trend of the maneuver-induced (untripped) rollover ahead of time. In this study, a lateral load transfer ratio which reflects the load distribution of left and right tires is used to indicate the rollover criticality. An antiroll controller is designed with smooth sliding mode control technique for vehicles, in which an active antiroll suspension is installed. A simplified second order roll dynamic model with additive sector bounded uncertainties is used for control design, followed by robust stability analysis. Combined with the vehicle dynamics simulation package TruckSim, MATLAB/Simulink is used for simulating experiment. The results show that the applied controller can improve the roll stability under some typical steering maneuvers, such as Fishhook and J-turn. This direct antiroll control method could be more effective for untripped rollover prevention when driver deceleration or steering is too late. It could also be extended to handle tripped rollovers.

Indoor simulating experiment is a main method for oil field CO2corrosion research. Experimental parameters are very important for an accurate simulation. Based on the mechanical-chemical corrosion theory, the external load may be possible to accelerate the corrosion rate. However, the influence of N2pressure on CO2corrosion during the simulating experiment is negligible. Because the coupon stress induced by additional N2pressure is very low, therefore, the N2adding procedure can be cancelled and a more safety working space for researchers will be created. However, it does not mean that mechanical-chemical corrosion influence can be ignored. For downhole tubing, the hoop stress generated from the formation compress or liquid column internal pressure is remarkable; stress effect on corrosion has to be taken into consideration. When pit cavity especially occurred on the internal tubing surface, the stress concentration effect will induce a much higher local stress. Mechanical-chemical corrosion will become significant and more study should be performed on this topic.

The dynamical model of laser cladding width is identified by the method of step response experiments. Mathematical models between the cladding width and the laser power, the scanning speed, or the powder flowrate are established respectively according to corresponding experimental results. Simulating experiment results verify the validity of these models. The dynamical identification lays foundation for the closed loop control in laser shaping process so as to improve the quality of the laser formed parts.

Three degrees of freedom servo system (TDFSS) is one of the key equipments of inertial testing, such as evaluation of inertial navigation system and test of inertial components. It is a kind of servo system with some non-linearity and uncertainty. This thesis takes advantage of the characteristic of Neural network in approaching non-linear function, applies the Neural network on the three-axis simulator, provides a method for the TDFSS. Simulating experiment has been used to verify the advantage of the scheme and achieved completely decoupling control. The scheme gives good control precision, and it is simply structured and easily implemented.Introduction
