Background: In 2017, an academic health sciences library in Utah developed a multimedia studio for students, faculty, and academic staff. Educational projects needing video, audio, and lecture capture could utilize a one-button studio for recording video sessions, microphones for audio, and various screen capture software for lectures. Since the pandemic, this service has seen rapid growth due to academic lectures going exclusively online. In response, the library launched a dedicated podcasting suite to accommodate the increase in students and faculty needing to record lectures or podcasts for others in the medical profession.Description: This article will outline the process of creating the podcasting suite and provide equipment rosters and methods other libraries may consider for establishing their own studio. Administrating duties of the studio will also be included, such as handling reservations and user assessment. An instructional guide for users is also included to assist patrons in accomplishing their podcast creations. Conclusion: Podcasts created in the space range from topics about teaching strategies in medicine to diagnoses and treatments of skin disorders. A podcasting suite is another way libraries can provide valuable services for asynchronous learning and student projects. Students, staff, and faculty have appreciated the ease of the service and the support behind it. A feedback loop was developed to further improve the space to meet the needs of users.

Abstract Electrochromic (EC) glazing is increasingly employed in building façades to achieve better visual comfort for the occupants. EC glazing can modulate the light entering through the façade by varying the solar transmittance of the glass and therefore can work as a shading strategy to minimize solar heat gains or glare. However, it also alters the spectrum and distribution of light entering through the façade, which influences certain visual attributes associated with a space. This user assessment study evaluates some of these attributes including the colour perception of the elements inside and outside the room, the uniformity of daylight distribution, the clarity of the view through the glazing and the perception of glare when the sun is in the field of view. Results indicate a visual transmittance (τv) of 0.6% is sufficient to control glare when the sun is in the peripheral field of view (FOV) while τv,n-n of 0.14% is required to control glare when the sun is close to the central FOV. Most of the participants did not perceive the colours of outdoor environment as natural when seen through EC glazed window. The majority of participants also desired to change the glazing configuration by adding an additional shading device.

People’s attitudes, opinions, feelings and sentiments which are usually expressed in the written languages are studied by using a well known concept called the sentiment analysis. The emotions are expressed at various different levels like document, sentence and phrase level are studied by using the sentiment analysis approach. The sentiment analysis combined with the Deep learning methodologies achieves the greater classification in a larger dataset. The proposed approach and methods are Sentiment Analysis and deep belief networks, these are used to process the user reviews and to give rise to a possible classification for recommendations system for the user. The user assessment classification can be progressed by applying noise reduction or pre-processing to the system dataset. Further by the input nodes the system uses an exploration of user’s sentiments to build a feature vector. Finally, the data learning is achieved for the suggestions; by using deep belief network. The prototypical achieves superior precision and accuracy when compared with the LSTM and SVM algorithms.

Do’a and Zikr al-Mā’thur (authentic supplications and remembrance of ALLAH ‘Azza wa Jalla) can be suggested to Muslims to help them deal with challenges or issues in life. Counselling cases affect a person’s feelings. Do’a and Zikr al-Mā’thur are often applied as a counselling intervention. Unfortunately, the authentic Do’a and Zikr al-Mā’thur are dispersed in many resources not visible to users, and the fact that not all online resources offer access to accurate Do’a and Zikr al-Mā’thur to users and the dubious Do’a and Zikr al-Mā’thur frequently credited to the Prophet (pbuh). The goal of this research is to develop an ontology for the purpose of providing credible results to counselling cases in need of relevant Do’a and Zikr Al- Ma’thur. This research focused on presenting how an ontology could support to provide accurate information to cases supervised by high school counsellors. This research developed the ontology for Do’a and Zikr al-Mā’thur for counselling in Protégé. The methodology implemented in the ontology development included the models designed by Fernandez-Lopez et al., Thunkijjanukij, Gomez-Perez et al., and Kreider. The ontology was verified, validated, and evaluated by two subject domain experts. Most concepts were rated as ‘Compliant’ and some as ‘Partially Compliant’. Queries in SPARQL produced answers to the competency questions. Feedbacks from the user assessment proved that the executed results from the Do’a and Zikr al-Mā’thur ontology for counselling succeeded in fulfilling the users’ requirement. It is recommended that the sustainability of the ontology should be secured through constant submission of real cases by counsellors and people with similar roles for query analysis and results. Credible scholars should provide direction to trustworthy sources. Such essential input is valuable for content management and contributes towards very few domain ontologies that deliver support to professional works. It also provides the step-by-step procedures to ontology construction and assessment for Islamic collection for counselling intervention.

Introduction: The risk of unknowingly disseminating leiomyosarcoma by morcellation in women undergoing laparoscopic hysterectomy has massively impacted gynaecological practice. Here, we present the results of an in vitro assessment of a novel protection system developed to mitigate this hazard. Methods: The Tissue Containment System for Manual Morcellation (Guardenia™, Advanced Surgical Concepts, Wicklow, Ireland) is an evolved wound protection/specimen extraction guarded bag system compatible with any 12mm trocar. Device use was assessed by device-naïve gynaecological and general surgeon volunteers (providing expert and inexpert morcellation cohorts, respectively) on a bench model consisting of biological tissue in a custom-built moulded rig with camera control after the operators were instructed in its use. Results: Twenty surgeons (10 gynaecologists/10 general surgeons, median duration of practice experience: 8 years, median annual number of laparoscopic operative procedures: 150 and 80, respectively) completed the user assessment. All subjects understood and correctly performed each step; i.e., (i) placement of the bag through the trocar, (ii) specimen bagging, (iii) incision extension (range 25-60 mm) after tethering the bag through the port, (iv) insertion of the device guard through the mouth of the bag after trocar removal, and (v) sufficient tissue morcellation within the bag to enable complete specimen removal (mean specimen weight 390g, range 201-1800g). There was 100% bag integrity by water-leak testing following use, despite scalpel contact with the guard in 14/20 cases (70%). Conclusion: Among first-time clinical users, this novel device enabled complete containment of morcellation debris and removal of a laparoscopic specimen, which would support further submission for regulatory approval.

AbstractZoonotic diseases such as malaria, dengue, Zika and chikungunya remain endemic in many countries. Setting and deploying trap to capture the host/vector species are fundamental to understand their density and distribution. Human effort to manage the trap data accurately and timely is an exhaustive endeavour when the study area expands and study period prolongs. One stop mobile app to manage and monitor the process of animal trapping, from field to laboratory level is still scarce. We developed a new mobile app named “PesTrapp” especially for medical entomologists to acquire the vector density index based on the mobile updates of ovitraps and species information in field and laboratory. This study aimed to highlight the mobile app’s development and design, describe the user experience and evaluate the preliminary user assessment of the mobile app. The mobile app was developed using mobile framework and database. User evaluation of the mobile app was based on the adjusted Mobile App Rating Scale and Standardized User Experience Percentile Rank Questionnaire. The process flows of system design and detailed screen layouts were described. The user experiences of using the app in a project to study Aedes surveillance in six study sites in Selangor, Malaysia were described. The overall mean user evaluation score of the mobile app was 4.0 (SD=0.6), which showed its acceptability by the users. The PesTrapp, a one-stop solution, is anticipated to improve the entomological surveillance work processes. This new mobile app can contribute as a tool in the vector control countermeasure strategies.
