Indonesia has a Muslim majority population and has two sources of education that both improve the quality of its citizens' educational resources. The author believes that the two sources, namely the Koran and the national education law, have strong relevance. To prove this assumption, we have conducted a series of studies of educational literature on many literature data published in various educational journals, both national and international. We found the data source through an electronic search on many journals, books, and websites that actively discuss religious and national education issues. After the collection of literature, we further examined the data evaluation system involved in the coding of conclusions drawn after high interpretation to obtain data that answered questions validly and reliably. Based on the data and discussion, we find a high relevance between the messages in the Koran and the goals of national education in Indonesia. It is hoped that this finding will become an essential input for improving educational science that links religious messages and national education.

AbstractIn the process of dewatering and recovery of coalbed methane, coal permeability exhibits a quite unique feature due to the interference of matrix shrinkage and stress effects. A new theoretical dynamic model was proposed for coal permeability based on the assumptions of matchstick geometry of the coal and uniaxial strain condition. Distinct from previous models such as P&M and S&D models, our model relates the gas-sorption-reduced strain to the change of surface energy of coal solids. One of the advantages of this model is that it does not require the sorption-reduced strain as an essential input, and therefore eliminates the related laborious and expensive laboratory measurement. The model was validated by fitting it to two sets of public data and shows an excellent match with the observed data. The results also indicate that our model has a better performance in predicting the permeability dynamics than P&M and S&D models. Additionally, a sensitivity analysis of the effect of input parameters on permeability dynamics was conducted by gray-relation theory, and the initial porosity and reservoir temperature are demonstrated to exert a most distinguished effect on the permeability dynamics. Finally, the proposed model was incorporated into a numerical simulator and successfully applied to conduct a history match of the gas and water production rate in a developed territory.

The construction industry, which is a labour intensive and skill development of the industry would yield both economic and social returns to the national economy. Among other occupational categories, there is a significant demand for the plant and equipment (P&E) operators in the construction industry. Nevertheless, limited numbers of research are available on the said area. Hence, the aim of this paper is to investigate the status of P&E operators in Sri Lankan building construction projects. Accordingly, this study encompassed a qualitative research approach, and six semi-structured expert interviews were conducted as the data collection tool. The study revealed that mainly two categories of P&E as moveable and immovable and further identified subcategories under each. Based on the results, occupational map was developed for the P&E operators in building construction projects in Sri Lanka. Furthermore, the study revealed that technical and mechanical skills as an essential input for an efficient P& E operator. Moreover, the paper discussed issues with P & E operators. Accordingly, inconsistency, taking long leave, poor health conditions, less experience, and less motivation were identified as prominent issues.

The core discussion of this study is on understanding the concept of Islamic education for the millennial generation in Indonesia. The author believes that the idea of teaching Islamic education for the millennial generation is undoubtedly different from the teaching methods of the previous generation. For this reason, we have presented a series of data from previous studies, issues, and characteristics of teaching Islamic education in a modern way. Some literary sources the author found by searching online on several well-known publications such as Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Academic Edu, ERIC, and many data from websites. After reviewing and discussing the data, involving in-depth evaluation under a phenomenological approach, the writers obtain valid and up-to-date finding data. Based on the exposure data, we get models and characteristics of Islamic education in the millennial generation, including educational systems and methods that are suitable for millennial children; freedom of questioning and exploration methods, personal, independent learning by relying on fast and instant information, hyper-technology-based learning, rich in ideas and exploratory approaches. Thus, this finding becomes an essential input in developing Islamic studies for the millennial generation in the future.

Policies in the economic and development sector still place men as the main actors, women only as “task assistants” in economic activities. The women of Liang Bunyu village in West Sebatik District make Seaweed farming a source of household income and become a leading commodity in village economic development. The women in the village bind seaweed farming for the nursery. A job that men are reluctant to do, but the most important part of the production process. This paper discussed how Sebatik women play a crucial role in making seaweed cultivation a household business. It will be an essential input for the local government policy of developing a household business driven by housewives. The research method used was a qualitative description with an ethnographic approach to make participant observations and in-depth interviews are accurate in collecting data and field findings. The research found that Sebatik women had the prospect to be an entrepreneur. It's just that Sebatik's economic development does not necessarily increase women's empowerment. Not many Sebatik women farmers think about selling seaweed as a processed product, which is more economically valuable and profitable. Education and community culture were the main causes, even though kinship and ethnic networks could function as economic capital. Sebatik woman farmers need government support in both policy regulation and practical assistance, especially in entrepreneurial training.

The modulus of the asphalt layer is an essential input parameter in asphalt pavement design. For design purposes, the relationship between field and laboratory moduli of the asphalt mixture layer needs to be identified. In this research, the field modulus of the asphalt layer is predicted via a developed field modulus master curve. The laboratory modulus of asphalt mixture is measured using three different loading modes, namely uniaxial compressive (UC), indirect tensile (IDT), and four-point bending (4PB) modes. The loading mode is observed to affect the mixture’s laboratory modulus. The asphalt mixture moduli measured from UC mode are generally the highest, following by those from IDT mode, whereas the 4PB mode generates the lowest asphalt mixture moduli. By comparing field and laboratory moduli of asphalt mixture, it is found that the laboratory modulus from 4PB mode yields satisfactory predictions for the mixture’s field modulus in a wide range of loading frequencies. The UC and IDT modes, which tend to overpredict the field modulus of the asphalt layer, need to be modified. The modification factor ranges between 0.3 and 0.7 for UC mode, and varies from 0.2 to 1.0 for IDT mode. For both modes, the modification factors grow closer to 1.0 with increasing frequencies and decreasing temperatures, implying that UC and IDT modes become increasingly suitable for simulating field conditions at high frequencies and low temperatures.

In recent years, the use of ride hailing mobile application services is increasing exponentially. Customers’ expectation of these phone services varies and change dynamically as the needs of each individual also vary. Customer reviews about mobile application are honest, voluntary opinions; and these could become essential input for mobile application providers to measure satisfaction. However, managing a large number of reviews into actionable plans could be challenging. This study combines the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) and Multiple-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM)-VIKOR approach to process 600 reviews into a meaningful insight to enhance ride hailing mobile application services. The four-phase method analysis concluded that application ease of use and affordability are the most important aspects that most contribute to customers’ satisfaction in ride hailing mobile application services.

Flight safety is consistently influenced by pilots’ self-inflicted incidents in routine flight operations. For airlines, pilots’ reports on these incidents are essential input to learn from incidents (LFI) and for various safety management processes. This paper aims to explain the voluntary reporting behavior of pilots’ self-inflicted incidents from an occupational safety perspective. We investigate how the relation between pilots’ safety citizenship behavior (SCB) and reporting behavior is moderated by pilots’ fear, shame, goals, and goal-striving when reporting, as well as the influence of a just culture on the decision to report incidents. In total, 202 German commercial pilots participated in an online survey. The results showed that reporting behavior can be considered a specific form of self-intentional SCB, but should be differentiated into subtypes depending on a pilot’s unsafe acts (errors or violations) that caused the incident. Reporting behavior-specific motivational factors influenced different subtypes of reporting behavior: Just culture moderated a positive relation between SCB and reported incidents caused by violations. Moreover, depending on the subtype of reporting behavior, the relation was moderated by different types of goals in relation to the pilots. No moderating effects of fear or shame could be demonstrated. Our findings highlight the value of a just culture for encouraging goal-oriented reporting behavior in the context of LFI and safety management.
