Сharacterization of the legal consciousness of young people and students in modern conditions

The legal foundation of a society is the basis of its existence and effective functioning. The legal consciousness occupies a special place in it. It acts as an integral part of people’s worldview, their life orientations, values and priorities. In Russia, the dynamics of the ongoing changes in the political and legal sphere is largely determined by the rethinking of the events of the recent past and the attempt by various forces of influence to comprehend the present adequately. Such close attention to the phenomenon of legal awareness is due to many changes taking place in the country and society. The consciousness of people in Russia is multipolar. Both internal and external factors influence on its formation, more often they are of a destructive nature. For example, the role of the hybrid war, which has been waged against Russia throughout its recent history and in which young people are actively involved, is great. Attempts to organize and conduct various actions with the participation of young people expose, among other things, the problems of our society, the state of legal awareness of young people involved in these events. This puts forward new tasks for working with young people, primarily students. The article reveals the concept of legal consciousness, considers its structure and types. The authors pay special attention to the сharacterization of the features of the modern legal consciousness in Russia. The article also characterizes legal socialization. Legal consciousness manifests itself in behavior. The authors rely on the results of the study on the legal behavior of young people. The presented factual material makes it possible to identify the cause-and-effect relationships between the legal consciousness and the factors affecting it. The article provides possibilities for the interested persons to use the presented theoretical and practical material in their work on the formation of the legal consciousness of modern Russian youth.

Legal values as determinants of sustainable development of society

The goals of sustainable development, outlined in the final document of the UN Summit «Transforming our world: the 2030 agenda for sustainable development», continue to be the main model of development for all countries. Sustainable development is formed and provided by various determinants, among which legal values are not the last. They provide legal identification of objects recognized as benchmarking guidelines for sustainable development, and form the value and legal orientations of entities which activities are aimed at performing these tasks. The lack of a common system of legal values leads to the deformation of the legal consciousness of the population, the dominance of nihilistic trends, makes it impossible to achieve sustainability and stability in society. Therefore, the existence of a single value-legal paradigm is a consolidating factor of Ukrainian society, forms a positive attitude of the subjects to the political and legal life of the country, promotes their legal socialization and the development of a proper legal position. This allows to achieve social justice, build the foundations of inclusive development, ensure the rule of law, eradicate corruption and restore trust in the state and its institutions, strengthen social cohesion, ensure the interaction of public authorities with the public and self-organize the activities of citizens. Among the legal values that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals and form the foundation of legal culture, a special place is occupied by human, justice, freedom, responsibility, equality, patriotism, religious tolerance, etc. Keywords: life choice, legal culture, legal position, legal values, value and legal guidelines, sustainable development, value and legal attitudes

THE ROLE OF "FAMILY AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS" IN LEGAL SOCIALIZATION OF YOUTH OF KAZAKHSTAN

The proposed article describes the role, functions and competencies of families and educational institutions in the legal socialization of youth in Kazakhstan. Scientific works and opinions of self-experts were presented to determine the role of the family and educational institutions in the dissemination of legal education, legal education, legal protection, which is the main institution of modern legal education and legal socialization. Family and educational institutions act as the basis for legal education of young people. The main factor in informing young people about offenses and their prevention is the legal capacity of the family and school, university, which contributes to the formation of legal awareness, raising the level of legal culture. The main requirement for the legal education of young people through the family and educational institutions, the formation of a legal culture, the building of the state and civil society.

The Keepers: Returning Citizens’ Experiences With Prison Staff Misconduct

Correctional staff play a major role in the incarceration experience for millions of U.S. adults each year. While much research has addressed misconduct perpetrated by incarcerated persons, less has systematically addressed rule-violating behavior by correctional staff and how such conduct is perceived by formerly incarcerated individuals. Using qualitative data gathered from 38 interviews with men and women recently released from prison, we examine their experiences with prison staff misconduct. Respondents shared observations of staff misconduct related to medical neglect, violence, and contraband, but experiences differed for men and women, raising concerns regarding conditions of confinement. We caution that such conduct has the potential to undermine the legitimacy of correctional authority in prison settings, which is troubling because heightened legitimacy is an important aspect of legal socialization that helps to reduce offending. Research and policy development on the frequency and consequences of prison staff misconduct is warranted.

Implementation of marriage itsbat in Aceh

This paper describes the process of marriage itsbat in Aceh and its approval factors despite its non-compliance with the applicable provisions. From the study results, it is known that the judge determining marriage itsbat prioritized benefit (maslahah) for the litigants. Its approval is considered to have more positive impacts, both for the litigants and their children. When it is granted, their marriage has had legal force and is recognized by the state, with the result that the litigants and their children have the same rights as those who register their marriage. This study used empirical legal research method obtained by conducting interviews. For further suggestion, it is expected that the government give legal socialization to increase public awareness of the importance of marriage registration

Optimalisasi Penggunaan Media Daring Terhadap Pendidikan Berkarakter Dalam Upaya Menciptakan Masyarakat Sadar Hukum

AbstrakBerangkat dari permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam bidang ini, yaitu: Kurangnya sosialisasi hukum berbasis media daring. Sehingga dari hal tersebut masyarakat membutuhkan pendidikan berupa sosialisasi bagaimana menggunakan sosial media dan melakukan perbuatan hukum yang baik dan benar yang sesuai dengan peraturan perundang-undangan, yang nantinya tidak akan menimbulkan permasalahan baru di masyarakat. Sulitnya penerapan sosialisasi Legal Aid di tengah Pandemi Covid-19 membutuhkan upaya ekstra di dalam pemenuhan kegiatan yang dilakukan tersebut yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-November 2020 di Desa Sukaluyu, Kecamatan Telukjambe Timur, Kabupaten Karawang. Dalam program sosialisasi metode yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan meeting online, media sosial melalui Youtube, Instagram dan group WhatsApp Dusun Rawarengas berupa video animasi, video edukasi, video grafis, brosur dan standing banner telah berjalan baik dengan kategori berhasil. Pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan melibatkan Mitra Strategis dan Inti dalam Pelayanan Legal Aid di Kabupaten Karawang.
