In the context of significant transformations taking place in society, it is especially important to prevent a slide into chaos, and to ensure a stable and secure socio-economic environment. One of the main problems is the heterogeneity of management objects, in this case, the structure of crime in the regions of the Russian Federation. To determine the similarity of the structure of the regional economy, the author compares the structure of indicators of criminal statistics per registered crime. The author presents the "criminal profile" of each region as a set of numbers (a vector) that represents the relative contribution of each indicator of criminal statistics, thus leveling the factor of the size of the regions. Thus, the overall level of crime by region is not compared, only the share of indicators of criminal statistics is analyzed, which can be called the "criminal profile" of the region. Reasonable conclusions are made about the presence of objective prerequisites for the allocation of groups of regions. Possible ways of practical application of this classification are considered.

The article deals with the statistics in this sphere over the past five years. Based on the collected empirical evidence the authors analyzed the qualitative indicators of convicted drug offenders. The examination of statistical data from investigative and judicial practice on crimes in the field of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances illicit trafficking made it possible to sketch a criminal profile of a person sentenced to imprisonment: a citizen of the Russian Federation, a male between 18 to 39 years, having a secondary general or vocational education. Moreover, the personality of a convicted person is characterized by his internal criteria deformation devaluing the norms and rules that express and consolidate public interests. The authors also conducted a comparative analysis of offenders convicted both in the Russian Federation and in such federal subjects as Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region. The choice of St. Petersburg as one of the objects of this research is justified by the fact that it has been among the leaders of the regions with the largest number of recorded drug-related crimes for several years.

Abstract: Description of the psychopathological and criminal profile in drug-dependent patients under treatment. This study performs an analysis of the prevalence of criminal behaviors in addicted patients under treatment. The sample consisted of 71 addicts (63 men and 8 women) who sought treatment at Proyecto Hombre Valladolid. Criminal behaviors, socio-demographic characteristics and consumption variables were evaluated with the EuropASI; psychopathological symptomatology with the SCL-90-R; and personality variables with the MCMI-III. Patients with and without criminal behaviors were compared in all the variables studied. The rate of addicted patients involved in criminal acts was 67.6% (n= 48). Significant differences were observed between patients with and without criminal behavior. Patients with criminal acts were more likely to show polydrug use. Patients with associated criminal behaviors had a more severe addiction. The implications of these results for clinical practice and future research are discussed. Keywords: Drug addiction; crime; criminological profile; comorbidity; addictions.

It will be reviewed briefly the state of the woman in prison and her criminal profile and the corresponding quantitative data of Spanish prisons are briefly reviewed. A research and intervention project is proposed whose main objective is to detect the levels of success or failure of the immigrant women in their double adaptation, through the observation of the different assimilation strategies they have. All this, would lead to a final conclusion, which would be to obtain a sociocultural profile of immigrant women. This would lead to an adequate intervention by institutions or services that deal with giving assistance to disadvantaged groups, and / or giving information about the inmate population to migration policies.

Abstract Objectives To assess the sociodemographic, psychiatric and criminal profile of adolescent offenders complying with temporary custody for homicide/homicide attempt and to compare it to that of the population of adolescents in custody for other crimes. Methods This cross-sectional study was based on the review of the medical records of 74 juvenile offenders in temporary custody at socioeducational agency Fundação de Atendimento Sócio-Educativo do Rio Grande do Sul. For the analysis, variables that presented p < 0.2 were included in multivariate adjustment through logistic regression. Results The sample comprised males only, mostly with white skin color (55.6 vs. 57.9% for homicidal and non-homicidal, respectively) and with a high prevalence of school failure (77.8 vs. 91.2%). There was a high prevalence of family history of delinquency (88 vs. 81%). Only years of study and belonging or not to a criminal organization remained statistically significant in the multivariate model. Conclusion The results show that having fewer years of study and denying belonging to a criminal organization are predictive factors of homicidal behavior in adolescent offenders (both with statistical relevance). The other variables were not statistically significant for this outcome. The present study may serve as a basis for further research, which may improve our understanding of risk factors for juvenile homicide.
