Spiritual criminology (SC) is an umbrella term for various criminological theories, models and practices that share reference to the spiritual dimension of human existence. Informed by a growing body of research that applies spiritual approaches to various aspects of criminology, SC attempts to provide a common thread shared by most approaches to spirituality: a voluntary self-journey that begins with an elevated level of self-centeredness and is aimed at self-transformation. Based on an extensive review of the literature, this paper proposes three general principles for spiritual accompaniment of people who offended: mindful non-doing, being and acting; love and compassion; and compassionate inclusion. These principles can be applied by combining several practices: renouncing control over knowledge, process and outcomes; creating a moral atmosphere that includes forgiveness and nonjudgment; and self-modeling. SC is shown to contribute to the rehabilitation of people who offended and also to crime prevention.

А. Жуковским и А. С. Пушкиным. The theoretical novelty of the article consists in the investigation of the unique synthesis of verbal and visual aspects of V. A. Zhukovsky’s and A. S. Pushkin’s works. The comparative analysis of A. S. Pushkin’s “Unfinished Painting”, S. P. Shevyrev’s “Transfiguration”, V. A. Zhukovsky’s “The Sistine Madonna” and W. H. Wackenroder’s “Raphael’s Vision” focuses on the impact Raphael’s aesthetics produced on the romantic concept of a painter’s work, and spiritual inspiration. The article investigates Zhukovsky’s aesthetic essay “The Sistine Madonna” through the prism of ekphrastic works, association-based descriptions of a visual work of art. The article maintains that the romantic poets’ infatuation with Raphael Santi can be explained both by the spiritual and moral atmosphere of the first third of the 19th century and by V. A. Zhukovsky’s and A. S. Pushkin’s personal aesthetic preferences.

Most music teachers desire to positively influence the development of their students’ character; however, the practicalities of doing so have been understudied in music education. This article draws on research from the related field of sports education and presents possible strategies for developing strong character in music students. Cultivating a moral atmosphere, developing a teaching orientation that encourages student mastery, and listening to student perceptions about their experience in the music classroom are research-driven approaches that music educators can use to encourage positive character development in music students.

Coaches are key socializing agents who influence the sociomoral context. A function of socialization in coaching is the imparting of values and ideology, which guide behavior. English professional football is known for authoritarian and subservient cultures whereby coaches will enforce cultural norms and values, which consequently shape their players’ moral development. Therefore, from a contextual viewpoint, professional football serves as a suitable site for exploring coaches’ views of morality. This study consisted of two aims: (a) explore English professional football coaches’ experiences of morality in football and (b) share coaches’ accounts of how they create and manage a moral atmosphere. Semistructured interviews were conducted with eight male professional English football coaches. Thematic analysis resulted in two general dimensions: coaches’ experiences of morality and recommendations for creating and managing a moral atmosphere. Coaches shared accounts of the moral conflicts and antisocial behaviors they experienced. The findings suggest that coaches struggle to define morality while highlighting the lack of coach education on the topic. Furthermore, similarities were observed in relation to coaches’ recommendations for creating and managing a moral atmosphere. Therefore, the study concludes by providing a selection of guiding principles that professional football coaches could implement when creating and managing a moral atmosphere.

Аннотация. Воспоминания В. А. Abstract. The memoirs of V. A. Zvonkova are devoted to church life from the 1940-s to the 2000-s. At the heart of the memoirs is the fate of the author herself, walking the difficult path of the Orthodox Christian in an atheistic state and society. The author shows that this path was not easy, not only because of the persecution of believers, but even more so because of the special moral atmosphere in the rapidly atheizing Soviet society, where the traditional norms of marital relations were violated, where familiar family ties were broken, etc. The memoirs are marked by the author’s subtle observations of the life of contemporaries, both churchly and secular. Keywords: memoirs, Soviet era from the 1940-s to the beginning of the 2000-s, Orthodox Christian church, church, priests, parish life. Key words: Orthodox faith, Russian Orthodox Church, piety, asceticism, clergy, eldership, church parish.

The article defines national goals and analyzes their role in the life of the state and society. It is noted that N.N. Moiseev did not create an integral system that would describe in detail the national goals, but the ones that he formulated could signifi cantly enrich and warn perestroika and post-perestroika Russia; their relevance is indisputable to this day. The author reveals the close connection of national goals not only with the economy and with the positive processes that will occur in the future, but, first of all, with the moral atmosphere that exists in the society. The "Russian TEACHER system" is considered.

Collective forms of affect shape the possibilities for selfhood and the affects engendered in encounters with others. This chapter examines two different types of collective affect shaping community development in Medan, Indonesia. A moral atmosphere of ‘each giving a share’ hangs over and infects programme activities, making volunteers sticky with suspicion and susceptible to arousing cynicism in others. In contrast, the affective practices of volunteers generate a different tone, engendering feelings that reaffirm their actions as making a positive difference in the lives of others. The collision between these forms of collective affect have two implications for power configurations in development. First, collective conditions determine the differential capacity/susceptibility to affect and be affected. Second, the ability to shape collective forms of affect often (but not always) map on to existing social hierarchies.
