During the last decades, research in teacher noticing has increased since its development is considered important in teacher training programs. An issue that needs more research is the relationship between teachers’ mathematical knowledge for teaching in a specific mathematical domain and their ability to notice. This study focuses on how pre-service primary school teachers (PPTs) solve a measurement division problem with fractions and interpret (score and justify) students’ answers to this problem. The participants were 84 PPTs who answered two tasks. Task 1 consisted of solving a measurement division problem with fractions. Task 2 involved interpreting (scoring and justifying) the answers of four primary school students to the problem. Responses to Task 1 were classified based on their accuracy and the procedure used. For Task 2, the scores given along with their justifications were analyzed. The results show that PPTs’ knowledge of division with fractions is limited and that they had difficulties in identifying conceptual errors in students’ answers. This study provides information on the relationships between PPTs’ knowledge of these types of problems and how PPTs interpret students’ answers. This information could aid in adjusting mathematical teaching knowledge in training programs.

Abstract The Kitāb al-ʿIlm of al-Bukhārī (d. 256/870), positioned at the beginning of his Ṣaḥīḥ, represents an innovative turn in terms of structural arrangement and thematic discourse within the context of “books” and narratives on knowledge (ʿilm). Al-Bukhārī’s construction of ʿilm differs from preceding discussions and reveals a unique portrayal. I suggest that the early interdependence between ʿilm-ḥadīth and adab conveyed by al-Bukhārī echoes the Kitab al-Adab written by his teacher, Ibn Abī Shayba (d. 235/849). In light of understanding this intertextual dynamic, I will compare earlier ʿilm narratives with particular themes introduced by al-Bukhārī. Similarly, I will discuss how the early correlation between knowledge and education helped motivate his authorial intent, concluding that the Kitāb al-ʿIlm represents an original, technical and pedagogical work of taḥammul al-ʿilm, the actual practice of teaching knowledge.

Abstract In today’s information age, the informatization of education requires teachers to become a new type of teacher with information capabilities. The subject teaching knowledge of integrated technology is the knowledge basis for the professionalization of teachers in the information age. This research aims to analyze Pre-service teachers’ perception of Technological, Pedagogical, and Mathematical knowledge. This research adopts the case study method, using Questionnaires for data collection tools. The sample of this research is 84 pre-service teachers from Guangxi Normal University, China. The respondents are undergraduate and master students that are chosen randomly. The instrument used is 20 questionnaire items on pre-service teachers’ perception of their TPMK ability. The data was processed by using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. The research result shows that pre-service teachers have a good Technological Pedagogical Mathematical Knowledge ability but their Technological knowledge is still lacking. Teacher education programs should provide pre-service teachers with opportunities to develop TPMK to integrate technology into teaching effectively.

Teoria. Prática. Licenciatura. Abstract This article aims to investigate the relationship between theory and practice for the building of teaching knowledge and the evidenced contributions for the Pedagogy Licensiature students participants in PIBID Program (Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships), in which it is sougth to reflect the discussions about PIBID and its contributions to the initial teacher training process. As a theoretical framework, three knowledge categories are considered : Knowledge, Pedagogical and Experience. To achieve the objective, a questionnaire with semi-structured questions was applied to thirty participants in Pibid Program of Pitágoras Unopar University - Londrina. The results are presented of “Acquaintance of Knowledge” category and of the “Being a Pedagogue” subcategory. The results reveal that the PIBID students mobilize and develop knowledge related to the teaching profession by participating in PIBID. The experience at PIBID provided an opportunity for reflection on professional and personal skills about being a Pedagogue committed to the search for effective actions to achieve quality education. Keywords: Professional skills. Theory. Practice. Licensiature degree.

The article deals with the issues of F. Aquinas ' social teaching about the teacher, teaching and upbringing, which have not yet been studied in socio-political science. The article deals in more detail with the issues of F. Aquinas ' social teaching – knowledge and cognition, sign and word, language of learning, moral, moral and aesthetic aspects of teaching, on the transition and generation of knowledge from a student by a teacher, etc. The article notes that according to Aquinas, real education and upbringing is impossible without the use of authorities, authoritative books, their reading and interpretation. Learning means that one person transmits information about their knowledge or skill to another person. A teacher can be a person who independently expands his knowledge, is able to clearly formulate this knowledge for himself and transmit it to the student in an information accessible form for the student. At the same time, the article also pays attention to discussion issues.

Emergency remote teaching was regulated by the National Council of Education through Decision nº5/2020, approved on April 28th 2020, in Brazil, as an alternative to cover for the absence of face-to-face teaching. The Ordinance states that remote teaching activities must be applied to students of all education levels, steps, and modalities. As such, the main objective of this study was to investigate, through a bibliographic research, what are the skills that teachers of high ability/gifted students should have in the context of remote classes. We undertook a qualitative bibliographic research by surveying material readily available for consulting on the internet, such as educational books, periodic publications, and laws pertaining to high ability/gifted students and their learning process. After sorting through this material, we conducted an analysis to discuss data and later compiled suggestions of potential methodologies that could be applied to online classrooms. Our findings emphasize that both teaching knowledge and practice must offer high ability/gifted students optimized challenges, which integrate provocative novelties and motivate the development of their abilities and the dynamicity in activities. Furthermore, they also foster the students’ autonomy, making individual interests deeper, as well as their creative, critical and research abilities. Therefore, active learning methodologies are an asset to the teaching-learning process of students with specific educational needs.
