The Italian philosopher Macevelli, who lived in the 15th-16th century AD, proclaimed that to achieve the goal of a nation-state society to achieve the goal of all means can be taken as long as the goal is achieved, tricks, tricks, and even actions that are contrary to conscience can be done. The war of right thinking is happening at this time with the help of propaganda through electronic media and mass media as it is now, in building opinions. The influence change is so real and clear. Theories and ideas put into practice that was once politically marginalized now control the state. ESQ is here to answer the SQ theory, the fruit of Ari Ginanjar's thought as a role model for spiritual training guided by the pillars of faith and the pillars of Islam, which adorn cultural understanding and work ethic back to human nature such as love, honesty, responsibility, caring, discipline, togetherness, peace, back in orbit. Theology is an effort to contextualize religious teachings, not just textualizing, to answer human problems, not only problems of faith, monotheism but also cultural problems, problems of daily life, where the problems faced by humans are never-ending. In the context of Islam, the word theology will be more precise and meaningful when it is associated with the word Islam, so that the understanding of theology in question is theology that breathes Islam. An understanding of educational theology, in fact requires the inclusion of the conception of education and or deriving the concept of education in and from the schools of mutakallimin thought. Education is an interaction, namely the process of giving and taking, between humans and the environment. It is a process by which humans develop and create the skills needed to change and improve human conditions and their environment, as well as the formation of attitudes that guide their efforts to rebuild their human and physical characteristics. Education in Islam is often interpreted as At. Tarbiyahi (Education), the meaning is very thick and related to ar-riyadhah (practice). The training in question includes physical and spiritual training. The purpose of Islamic education is the formation of students to become servants of Allah who are pious and responsible for carrying out worldly and ukhrawi work.

This paper investigates Bediuzzaman Said Nursi’s methodology for the revitalization of belief and spiritual development of individuals through Risale-I-Nur. It analyses Nursi’s concept of Human I, methodology of the spiritual training to save an individual’s belief from materialist philosophy, spiritual guidance for different segments of society, and understanding of ethical values in the Islamic context. The research methodology of the paper is qualitative. The study reveals that Nursi asserts that reflection on the inner world and understanding of human 'I', are a means to comprehend the reality of the Creator and man's role as His representative. However, Nursi's understanding of inner reflection and spirituality is different from traditional Sufiism on many counts. He advises believers to seek guidance from the line of prophethood as opposed to that of philosophy to protect themselves from materialist ideologies. The study also reveals that Risale provides spiritual guidance for almost every segment of society and advises the believers to see tribulations as an opportunity for their spiritual growth. Finally, the research concludes that Nursi sees the man and the universe as closely related wherein observing ethical values in the light of religion brings about harmony between the two.

This article outlined a conceptual framework for understanding the social psychology phase of the older adults in fulfilling their activity needs later in life towards a meaningful life. This study used a phenomenological approach by conducting in-depth telephone interviews with PMK-DT Bandung Program alumni from batches 25 and 32. This study also aimed to reveal the "Golden Age Boarding School" program at Pondok Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid Bandung (PMK-DT) in meeting the needs spiritual. Gerontranscendence theory was fundamental for the elderly who participated in the training to adjust to the next phase of life. This training used a habituation approach and strengthening of religious values for participants to keep practicing after returning to their homes and the humanism approach by ustadz in the training process and program evaluation. After participating in the training program, the results showed that the older adults felt calmer in their lives, full of spirituality, and could even invite other family members to practice suitable living arrangements; for example, they did the five salats (obligatory prayers) on time, increased their charity and other good deeds. Several alumni were interested in joining the PMK follow-up program offered by DT Bandung.

In his moral philosophy of transcendentalism the American essayist, lecturer and poet R.W. Emerson (1803–1882) reflected the quest of a whole generation of American intellectuals for a new spirituality in the first half of the 19th century. Rooted in the heritage of Protestant faith and culture, like many of his ancestors for two centuries, Emerson received spiritual training and education and began his ministry as a pastor of one of the oldest parishes in Boston. However, later, in the course of spiritual and philosophical inquiries, he changed both his worldview and the nature of his creative activity. Emerson evolved from being a pastor for a local community to a popular lecturer to mass audiences across America's cities and states. Considering this change, the paper traces the genesis of R.W. Emerson's historical epistemology as it developed from his early writings (sermons and notebooks, including correspondence) towards his lectures and essays. We start by discussing the interest of Nietzsche in historical ideas of Emerson, identify the points at which their concepts diverge in their attitude towards doctrines of Christianity. We immerse Emerson's perceptions of history in the context of covenant theology, the meaning of Lord's Supper and the nature of Christ as expressed in the opinions of the ministers of Congregational and Unitarian Churches in Massachusetts. Special attention is paid to Emerson's concept of history denying Gospel events as the centre of the world's history and implying a possibility for an authentic and credible reenactment of historical events within the subjective experience of an individual. The analysis involves the essay History, Sermons No.5 and No.162, the Lectures on the Gospels and on the Philosophy of History.

Over the past decades history researchers of church-state relations have been doing active work with archival sources. Newly opened documents are regularly published, shedding light on certain problems. However, for various reasons, a huge layer of historical data is stored in the archives of diocesan administration of the Russian Orthodox Church. The author considers this research as an opportunity to significantly enrich knowledge of the religious policy of the state in the XX century, the life of society, social institutions and the formation of religious educational institutions. From the researcher’s point of view, the development of religious education in post-Soviet Russia, the Archive of Smolensk diocesan administration is of particular interest, since it was the Diocese of Smolensk where a complete system of upbringing and education was formed in a fairly short time, from kindergarten to a higher educational institution such as a seminary. The sources under the research are considered in the process of the origin and development of educational institutions. The method of structural analysis makes it possible to analyze the data contained in the reports of religious educational institutions. As a result, the author concludes that, despite the presence of certain difficulties, which are usually not typical of state archives, the archive of Smolensk diocesan administration is an important source of documents on the activities of religious institutions in Russia at the turn of the XX–XXI centuries.
