We study two seminal approaches, developed by B. Simon and J. Kisyński, to the well-posedness of the Schrödinger equation with a time-dependent Hamiltonian. In both cases, the Hamiltonian is assumed to be semibounded from below and to have a constant form domain, but a possibly non-constant operator domain. The problem is addressed in the abstract setting, without assuming any specific functional expression for the Hamiltonian. The connection between the two approaches is the relation between sesquilinear forms and the bounded linear operators representing them. We provide a characterisation of the continuity and differentiability properties of form-valued and operator-valued functions, which enables an extensive comparison between the two approaches and their technical assumptions.

Background: Sphingosine kinase 1 (SPhK1) is a crucial signaling enzyme involved in cell proliferation, cellular survival, stimulation of angiogenesis, and apoptosis prevention. Recently, we have reported the unfolding kinetics of SPhK1 using molecular dynamics (MD) simulation, circular dichroism and fluorescence spectroscopy. We found that SPhK1 showed a biphasic unfolding with an intermediate state (~ 4.0 M urea). Objective: We aim to understand the impact of MD simulation duration on the structure, function and dynamics of proteins. In order to get deeper insights into the folding mechanism an extended MD simulation is required. Method: Here, we extended the MD simulations time scale from 100 to 300 ns on SPhK1 at increasing urea concentration to explore structural changes in the SPhK1. Results: The results suggested a constant form of the unfolding of SPhK1 upon extending the simulation time scale at different urea concentrations. Furthermore, we showed step by step unfolding and percentage of secondary structure contents in SPhK1 under the influence of urea at each concentration. Conclusion: The results from the current work revealed a uniform pattern of the SPhK1 unfolding at different urea concentrations. This study provides deeper mechanistic insights into the urea-induced denaturation of SPhK1.

The present investigation aimed to obtain salt-tolerant Artemisia vulgaris L. to develop a constant form through in vitro mutagenesis with ethyl methane sulphonate (EMS) as the chemical mutagen. NaCl tolerance was evaluated by the ability of the callus to maintain its growth under different concentrations, ranges from (0 mM to 500 mM). However, NaCl salinity concentration at (500 mM) did not show any development of callus, slight shrinking, and brown discoloration taking place over a week. Thus, all the biochemical and antioxidant assays were limited to (0–400 mM) NaCl. On the other hand, selected calluses were treated with 0.5% EMS for 30, 60, and 90 min and further subcultured on basal media fortified with different concentrations of 0–400 mM NaCl separately. Thus, the callus was treated for 60 min and was found to induce the mutation on the callus. The maximum salt-tolerant callus from 400 mM NaCl was regenerated in MS medium fortified with suitable hormones. Biochemical parameters such as chlorophyll, carotenoids, starch, amino acids, and phenol contents decreased under NaCl stress, whereas sugar and proline increased. Peroxidase (POD) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities peaked at 200 mM NaCl, whereas catalase (CAT) was maximum at 100 mM NaCl. Enhanced tolerance of 0.5% the EMS-treated callus, attributed to the increased biochemical and antioxidant activity over the control and NaCl stress. As a result, the mutants were more tolerant of salinity than the control plants.

Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Objective to investigate the intensity of the atrial septum by T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF), with and without atrial fibrillation (AF). Materials and methods. In patients with CHF with atrial fibrillation (n = 23, including 11 patients with paroxysmal form, and 12 patients with constant forms) and without (n = 9) of arrhythmias in the control group – almost healthy (n = 6) we evaluated the signal intensity (SI) of the interatrial septum, the interventricular septum, and skeletal muscle at MRI T-2 weighted images. An increase in the value of SI in 2 times or more compared with the SI of skeletal muscle was regarded as an MRI signs of myocardial edema. Results. The SI of the atrial septum in patients with CHF who have constant forms of atrial fibrillation is higher than in the control (2775.58 ± 383.61 relative to the control - 1448.57 ± 291.30, p < 0.05). The MPP gain index in patients with paroxysmal AF equal to 1.59 ± 0.10 did not differ in comparison with patients with CHF who do not have rhythm disorders - 1.53 ± 0.12. An index of atrial septal enhancement greater than 2, indicating the presence of MRI signs of atrial septal myocardial edema  was detected only in patients with a constant form of AF (2.39 ± 0.18) than in patients with CHF with paroxysmal AF, in patients with CHF without rhythm disturbances and in the control group (1.59 ± 0.23; 1.53 ± 0.28 and 1.15 ± 0.16, respectively,  p < 0.05). Summary. In patients with CHF who have a constant form of atrial fibrillation, according to T2-weighted MRI images, signs of edema of the myocardium of the atrial septum were revealed in comparison with the control group and patients with CHF who have a paroxysmal form of atrial fibrillation and without rhythm disturbances.

Modern composition of diploid winter rye is represented mainly by hybrid varieties, and in spite of high productivity level, good baking qualities of flour, resistance to diseases and lodging, most of them are split according to plant height, which leads to uneven crops. A long-term study of the material selected for seed production has shown that plants of the same height of the spike-bearing stem differ in length of internodes. The length of the upper internode varies most considerably from 20 to 45 cm, and selection of plants with lower parameters of this feature leads to a decrease of the overall plant growth and increases resistance to lodging. Research work was carried out at Novozybkovskaya Agricultural Experimental Station - a branch of the Federal Research Center “Federal Scientific Center of Feed Production and Agroecology named after V.R. Williams “ in 2012-2019; Novozybkovskaya 150 winter rye variety was under study. The presence of the source of dominant short-stemming (k-10028) in the synthetic population of the initial material made it possible to carry out multiple selections with an intensity of 2 b according to the planned traits. The method of annual sequential exclusion of plants with a height of more than 120 cm, with a lower internode length of 5-7 cm and an upper one over 35 cm from the seed material formed a fairly constant form of a short-stemmed (up to 120 cm) population with a lower internode of 1-4 cm - 97%, with the upper - up to 30 cm - 50%. Family material combined according to the height of the stem showed high resistance of this trait in seed-plot testing. A long-term cycle of targeted individual selection for short stems increased the number of productive stems to 16 pcs. with grain mass of 2.0-3.0 g per ear. Self-pollination reduced the number of spike-bearing stems to 3-6 pcs., the weight of grain per spike was 2.6-3.5 g. The combination of short stemming, increased bushiness, and different types of spike gives a variety of material and is of great interest for winter rye selection

A human is a social being, who wants to achieve relations with other people. The most common form of close emotional relationships in adulthood is marriage. A married relationship can be implied in various ways and, although marriage lasts as a constant form of emotional attachment, contemporary marriage is in crisis. Actual social circumstances place various challenges before married life. In this work we have focused on some aspects which we recognized as potential factors of marriage destabilization. These include various empirical researches both in Serbia and abroad: the role of age in marriage, cohabitation, importance of primary family, children, economic stress, mechanisms of coping with stress, affective attachments between partners, solving conflicts, communication competence, distribution of house chores. Those are the factors that experts face in counseling and therapy works, solving marriage crisis. We see the quality of a married relationship as a multidimensional phenomena consisting of marriage satisfaction, marriage stability, marriage cohesion, marriage compliance. In this paper, we tried to show the complexity of marriage relationships in a nutshell and present the current research directions in this area of psychology.

Introduction. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with heart rhythm disorders accounting for a significant proportion of them. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is an arrhythmia that poses a risk of thromboembolic complications and is difficult to treat with ongoing preventive anticoagulant therapy. Aim of the study. To analyze the prescription of anticoagulant therapy to patients with AF on the regional level. Methods and results. The study included 72 patients with the nonvalvular form of AF (from 41 to 82 years old) of the Department of Rhythm and Conductivity Abnormalities of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Mordovia RCH № 4 for 2019. Three groups were singled out depending on the AF form: the first one – patients with the constant form (n = 22), the second one (n = 24) – with the persistent form, the third one (n = 24) – with the paroxysmal form. The risk of thromboembolic complications was assessed using the CHA2DS2-VASc scale and hemorrhagic complications using the HAS-BLED scale. All patients had a high risk of thromboembolism (index above 2 points), which reflects multiple risk factors and indicates the need for oral anticoagulants (OAC). According to HAS-BLED scale calculations, the risk of haemorrhagic complications was low in most patients (2 or less points) – there was no significant increase in the risk of bleeding, but careful monitoring is required. Analysis of the results revealed that only 54% of patients took OAC, despite the fact that all patients were shown anticoagulant therapy. When analyzing the cases of patients who did not take anticoagulants, it was found that 23% of patients, despite the doctor’s recommendations, refused to take the drugs, 47% of patients justified the inability to control IHR and 30% were unable to purchase expensive new OAC. Conclusion. Despite the recommendations for the management of patients with atrial fibrillation, only 54% were prescribed oral anticoagulants.

Introduction: the majority of patients with cardiovascular diseases in real medical practice are characterized by a combination of two or more diseases and conditions, that is, comorbidity. This places additional demands on the observation and treatment of this category of patients. Objective: to assess risk factors, the structure of comorbid conditions and the severity of psychoemotional disorders in patients with myocardial infarction with various forms of atrial fibrillation. Materials and methods: 138 patients (63 men, 75 women) who were hospitalized in the cardiology department of the City Clinical Hospital No. 7 GBUZ with a diagnosis of myocardial infarction with atrial fibrillation were examined. Depending on the form of atrial fibrillation, the patients were divided into 2 groups: the 1st consisted of 83 (60,1%) patients with a paroxysmal form, the 2nd group – 55 (39,9%) with a constant form. The examination was carried out in the first three days of hospitalization of patients. Results: in patients with myocardial infarction with a paroxysmal form of atrial fibrillation, the structure of risk factors is dominated by an average degree of nicotine addiction, dangerous alcohol consumption, high salt intake and excess body weight, and with a constant form of atrial fibrillation, a mostly weak and high degree of nicotine addiction, harmful alcohol consumption and obesity. Conclusion: in patients with myocardial infarction with a paroxysmal form of atrial fibrillation, the predominant risk factors are: dangerous alcohol consumption, high salt intake and overweight combined with depressive disorders in the form of subclinical and clinical depression, and with a constant form of atrial fibrillation, a high degree of nicotinic dependence and mild anxiety disorders: subclinically and clinically severe anxiety, which must be taken into account when carrying out preventive, rehabilitation measures and the solution of expert issues.

Objective. To study and analyze the level of markers of apoptosis of annexin A5 (AnxA5) and Bcl‑2 in patients with past myocardial infarction (MI) and ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICMP), depending on the presence of atrial fibrillation (AF) of a constant form.Materials and methods. It were examined 43 patients with past MI and 47 patients with ICMP. All patients are divided into subgroups depending on the presence of AF of a constant form (patients with right heart rate and with AF a constant form). As a comparison group, 30 somatically healthy individuals were examined. Plasma levels of Bcl‑2 and AnxA5 in all examined individuals were determined by enzyme immunoassay.Results. Statistically significant changes in the level of AnxA5 and Bcl‑2 were revealed in all examined patients compared with somatically healthy individuals. It was found that the level of AnxA5 was statistically significantly higher in patients with AF constant form compared with patients with right heart rate and statistically significantly higher in patients with ICMP in the corresponding subgroups (patients with right heart rate and AF constant form) compared with patients with MI. The level of Bcl‑2 was statistically significantly lower in patients with AF constant form compared with patients with right heart rate and statistically significantly lower in patients with ICMP in the corresponding subgroups (patients with the correct rhythm and AF constant form) compared with patients with MI. According to the results of the correlation analysis, statistically significant positive (AnxA5) and negative (Bcl‑2) correlations between the level of apoptosis markers and the duration in the history of AF of a constant form were revealed in all examined patients.Conclusion. More pronounced changes in the level of apoptosis markers were detected in patients with ICMP, compared with patients with previous MI in both the subgroup of patients with with right heart rate and the subgroup of patients with AF with a constant form. All the examined patients in the subgroup of patients with AF have a constant form, the severity of changes in the level of studied markers of apoptosis is higher than in patients in the subgroup with right heart rate. The results of the correlation analysis indicate the presence of correlations between the level of markers of apoptosis AnxA5 and Bcl‑2 and the duration of AF of a constant form in the anamnesis in patients with past MI and ICMP.
