The primary aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of physical exercise to the writing ability of Grade 10 Online Distance Learning (ODL) students of Margarito A. Duavit Integrated School. To achieve this aim, the researcher used an experimental design of research wherein thirty-one (31) out of fifty-nine (59) enrolled students enthusiastically engaged in the activity. The principal tool for analyzing the respondents in this study was a researcher-created activity sheet. A rubric was used to collect the essential data on the effectiveness of physical activity on the writing abilities of the school's Grade 10 online distance learning students. Results of the study, from the pretest scores in terms of fluency, originality, and flexibility revealed low level of scores ranging from 5 – 14 from a possible maximum score of 15 points as evidenced by a 6.968 – 10.452 mean scores while the students’ posttest scores revealed an increase from 5 – 15 and mean scores from 10.45 – 12.548 after conducting the Eher-Sulat activity. Results of the analysis of variance revealed significance value of 0.05. The null hypothesis that there is no significant difference in the effectiveness of physical exercise on the respondents' writing ability after exposing them to the Eher-Sulat activity was rejected because the computed t value exceeds the critical value, indicating that the means are significantly different. This demonstrates that Eher-Sulat activity, which entails performing physical exercises prior to beginning a class, differs significantly from the usual method of introducing a subject or topic. This implies that writing is a bodily as well as a mental endeavor. It's critical for us to understand the link between our mind and body. To keep our mental skills where we want them, we have to keep our bodies healthy and active.

Abstract. In France, sirens have been the principal tool designated to alert the population in the case of danger. However, their efficacity has not been objectively tested. Using a geographical information system, questionnaires, and surveys, we analyzed (1) the spatial distribution of the siren network in relation to the covered population, the hazards threatening different areas, and the actual number of disasters that have occurred in the past, (2) the political dilemma of activating sirens, and (3) the population's trust in sirens, as well as its understanding of expected behavior in the case of an emergency. Results show that, with a few exceptions, siren coverage in France is primarily determined by population density, not by the expected hazards or the cumulative number of past disasters. Sirens are also rarely used by the authorities. However, surveyed members of the population identify sirens as the most effective alert system over other alternatives such as cell-phone-based alerting tools. In a “mock” emergency most members of the public did not know how to respond in the case of an emergency, and even most of those who correctly identified the appropriate response prior to the exercise did not react upon later hearing the siren. To improve the effectiveness of the French siren network, we recommend (1) relocating sirens to optimize their efficiency, (2) complementing the sound of sirens with a clear and unified message, (3) reorganizing the competencies to activate siren alerts, and finally (4) improving public education on different alert tools and expected behavior during an emergency.

Abstract This article explores the body as a site of subjectivity production during a hunger strike in Occupied Palestine. It further explores the former political prisoners’ theory of subjectivity as it emerges through their praxis and philosophy of freedom. Although the body is the principal tool that the hunger strikers use, they don't consider it the decisive factor in attaining their goal. For that they build on the immaterial strength that develops with the deterioration of the body and from which they construct the concept of rouh (soul). This is expressed through the formation of contradictory binaries: body versus soul and body versus mind. The article shows that the hunger strike not only is a political strategy for liberation; it also moves into a spiritualization of the struggle. It uses and problematizes Foucault's “technologies of the self” to theorize the specific formation of subjectivity in the Palestinian hunger strike under colonial conditions, and it contributes to theories of subjectivation. The hunger strikers, in their interaction with the dispossession of the colonial power, invent technologies of resistance to transcend the colonial and carceral constraints on their freedom and create the capacity for the transformation from a submissive subject to a resistant one.

The deterministic chaos in the sense of a positive topological entropy is investigated for differential equations with multivalued impulses. Two definitions of topological entropy are examined for three classes of multivalued maps: [Formula: see text]-valued maps, [Formula: see text]-maps and admissible maps in the sense of Górniewicz. The principal tool for its lower estimates and, in particular, its positivity are the Ivanov-type inequalities in terms of the asymptotic Nielsen numbers. The obtained results are then applied to impulsive differential equations via the associated Poincaré translation operators along their trajectories. The main theorems for chaotic differential equations with multivalued impulses are formulated separately on compact subsets of Euclidean spaces and on tori. Several illustrative examples are supplied.

The second chapter introduces the dataset of the book, defines its units of measurement, and operationalizes its key concepts. We discuss the method of creating our principal tool of analysis, the composite closure index. We reflect in detail on the question of how experiences accumulated through time can be taken into account when measuring stability. Finally, in a validation exercise, we also investigate whether our closure index could have been used to predict which democracies collapsed around the world between the two World Wars. With this exercise we also show that closure is a better proxy for party system institutionalization than the more traditionally used indicator, the electoral volatility index.

Abstract When two (or more) nuclei fuse, to form a heavier element, a known quantity of energy is released. The process seems easy to describe, at least to some degree.Today, technological development on the subject has introduced applications in many areas. Even so, there are some challenges before we can be able to provide energy by an appropriated fusion process: high needs of power, plasma confinement issues, heavy equipment, etc.The present idea intends to show a different view. The author calls, in a broad sense, a conceptual thesis, and it has the natural language as the principal tool. The author either explicitly or implicitly discusses the space-time fabric, double-slit experiment, and other concepts like non-duality. One nanoapparatus draft with the purpose of being in the scope of near future research closes the picture.
