Single electron hydrogen or hydrogenic ions have analytical forms to evaluate the atomic parameters for the inverse processes of photoionization and electron-ion recombination (H I + hν↔ H II + e) where H is hydrogen. Studies of these processes have continued until the present day (i) as the computations are restricted to lower principle quantum number n and (ii) to improve the accuracy. The analytical expressions have many terms and there are numerical instabilities arising from cancellations of terms. Strategies for fast convergence of contributions were developed but precise computations are still limited to lower n. This report gives a brief review of the earlier precise methodologies for hydrogen, and presents numerical tables of photoionization cross sections (σPI), and electron-ion recombination rate coefficients (αRC) obtained from recombination cross sections (σRC) for all n values going to a very high value of 800. σPI was obtained using the precise formalism of Burgess and Seaton, and Burgess. αRC was obtained through a finite integration that converge recombination exactly as implemented in the unified method of recombination of Nahar and Pradhan. Since the total electron-ion recombination includes all levels for n = 1 −∞, the total asymptotic contribution of n=801−∞, called the top-up, is obtained through a n−3 formula. A FORTRAN program “hpxrrc.f” is provided to compute photoionization cross sections, recombination cross sections and rate coefficients for any nl. The results on hydrogen atom can be used to obtain those for any hydrogenic ion of charge z through z-scaling relations provided in the theory section. The present results are of high precision and complete for astrophysical modelings.

This chapter sets out to demystify the topic of legal pluralism by examining the relationship between legal pluralism, normative pluralism, and general normative theory from a global perspective. The central theme is that treating legal pluralism as a species of normative pluralism decenters the state, links legal pluralism to a rich body of literature, and helps to show that some of the central puzzlements surrounding the topic can usefully be viewed as much broader issues in the general theory of norms and legal theory. A second theme is that so-called “global legal pluralism” is in several respects qualitatively different from the older anthropological and sociolegal accounts of legal pluralism and is largely based on a different set of concerns. Following the introduction in section I, section II considers normative pluralism. It explores the ambiguity of “pluralism” and some themes in general normative theory. Section III introduces the heritage of literature on legal pluralism. It presents an ideal type of social fact legal pluralism to which much, but by no means all, of the mainstream literature approximates. Some brief case studies illustrate some distinctions that are increasingly under attack. Section III suggests that social fact pluralism has achieved much in raising awareness of nonstate normative orders, but provides little guidance on issues of state policy and institutional design. Section IV considers the implications of adopting a global perspective in this context. It questions how far social fact legal pluralism is helpful in addressing a wide range of concerns raised by “globalization” and argues that the radically ambiguous idea of “global legal pluralism” is being applied to such a variety of phenomena and concerns as to be virtually meaningless.

This research consists of both theoretical and experimental sections presenting a novel scenario for the consumption of hydrogen in the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). In the theory section, a new correction factor called parameter δ is used for the calculation of fuel utilization by introducing concepts of “useful water” and “non-useful water”. The term of “useful water” refers to the state that consumed hydrogen leads to the production of liquid water and external electric current. In the experimental section, the effect of the relative humidity of the cathode side on the performance and power density is investigated by calculating the parameter δ and the modified fuel utilization at 50% and 80% relative humidity. Based on the experimental results, the maximum power density obtained at 50% and 80% relative humidity of the cathode side is about 645 mW/cm2 and 700 mW/cm2, respectively. On the other hand, the maximum value of parameter δ for a value of 50% relative humidity in the cathode side is about 0.88, while for 80% relative humidity it is about 0.72. This means that the modified fuel utilization for 50% relative humidity has a higher value than that for 80%, which is not aligned with previous literature. Therefore, it is necessary to find an optimal range for the relative humidity of the cathode side to achieve the best cell performance in terms of the power generation and fuel consumption as increasing the relative humidity of the cathode itself cannot produce the best result.

the aim of the paper is to draw briefly the discourse-theoretical foundations to the republican political theory (section 1), with the issue of slave/slavery as a pivotal concern of social and political life (section 2), and then to chart the most interesting consequences for the contemporary versions of the theory as proposed by the key authors (closing paragraphs of section 2, and section 3). the overarching message of the paper reads that republicanism is founded on a specific view of human nature as ens loquens, or zoon logon echon, that has important implications both empirically and normatively. the third, and final, section of the paper enlists six proposals, or suggestions, to contemporary republicans for the purpose of elucidating, first, the limits of republican theory/practice, and second, its intellectual origins as well as its opposition. Sum- marily, the paper lays emphasis as well on the status of republican language as a critical idiom with its pluralist, highly contextualized, and often program- matic/engaged voices.

The Conclusion revisits and reviews the central findings of this book’s history, theory, and rhetoric of theorizing adaptation in the humanities. The history section has described and explicated adaptation’s rising, falling, and equivocal fortunes under humanities theorization. The theory section has pondered general dynamics between humanities adaptation and theorization, finding that theorization’s relationship to adaptation has been a hierarchical one that seeks to subject adaptation to its laws. Yet adaptation is a rival process akin to, and yet opposed to, theorization, one that exceeds and resists theorization’s definitions, taxonomies, principles, epistemologies, and methodologies. The rhetoric section suggests figurative rhetoric as a way of breaking out of theoretical binds, resolving theoretical impasses, and opening up new ways to think about adaptation and new methodologies to study it, as well as to develop a shared discourse that can encompass different fields, disciplines, nations, eras, theories, epistemologies, and methodologies.

The article examines the application of the principle of visibility in pedagogy, on the example of teaching the section "microeconomics" of the course "Economic theory". Artistic tools and techniques allow you to analyze economic aspects, processes, phenomena, and contexts in the course taught through artistic literary works and films, paintings, theater productions, etc. Using the principle of clarity in this case allows students to facilitate the process of perception and assimilation of theoretical material, makes it possible to emotionally influence the student; enriched sensory perception of students, develops their imagination, learning becomes more intelligible, interesting, encouraged active learning process, improves efficiency of mastering of educational material, expanded memory capabilities, increased access to study material and enhanced the strength of its absorption, it should also take into account the educational value and aesthetic value of the material used. Artistic means should correspond to the level of development of students, the course being studied, and reflect the economic reality. When using works of art in teaching, the following should be taken into account: it is necessary to refer to those works that are known to the majority of the audience, the lecturer should know the work referred to well, the passage used should be quite brief, but deep in content and artistic in form, highlight important aspects that are worth paying attention to when watching a movie, reading a book, or analyzing a picture. When teaching the course "Economic theory", the section "microeconomics", using the principle of clarity of didactics, it is recommended to use selected on the relevant topics, questions and subqueries artistic literary masterpieces of domestic and foreign authors, paintings of Soviet, Russian, world cinema, works of art painting both domestic and foreign: in the topic "Fundamentals of market economy", questions "economic needs and economic resources", " economic systems»; the topic "Theory of the firm", the question "the essence, goals, conditions of functioning of the firm"; the topic "Perfect and imperfect competition", the question "the Main characteristics of monopoly"; the topic " factor Markets and income distribution. Social policy", questions "inequality of income distribution in a market economy", "social policy".

Abstract This essay assesses Quentin Meillassoux’s numerological approach to Mallarmé’s problematic but formally innovative poem “Un Coup de dés,” using a semiotic methodology to reveal the deficiencies of that approach from the viewpoint of literary theory. Section 1 describes my expanded version of Michael Riffaterre’s semiotic theory of the structure of modern poetry. Poems are generated by two underlying propositions, each of which governs the structure of a set of symbolic images on the textual surface. These “matricial” propositions are linked by a syntagmatic relation. The primary text functions as subject-sign of the Peircean semiotic triad; its object-sign is an intertextual model. The interpretant of these two textual signs is assembled by the reader and has a sociolectic counterpart – or context – which has similar lexical content but contrasting internal structure. This contrast may produce a change in the preconceptions of the reader. Section 2 examines Meillassoux’s approach to Mallarmé’s poem, which is preoccupied with a “number” supposedly encrypted in the text. This is not convincingly related to the propositional structure of the poem. In Section 3, the text is interpreted using a semiotics-based methodology. The poem is generated by two matrices: one concerning the “Master” versus the storm, and the second concerning the power of Chance. The relation linking the matrices is clarified. This analysis is compared with that of Meillassoux throughout. Section 4 resumes the differences between Meillassoux’s concentration on the “number” and the “siren,” and my analysis which centres on the relation between the Master (symbolising traditional poets and their preferred metre) and the Constellation (symbolising the wide range of new future poetic metres and formats). Meillassoux’s approach turns out to be unconvincing.
