Research subject. The distribution patterns of rare earth elements (REE), as well as Y and Th, in the grains of polychromous zircons from the restitogenic ultramafic rocks of the Shaman massif (Eastern Transbaikalia). This massif is a steeply inclined protrusion that is part of the eastern branch of the Baikal-Muya ophiolite belt.Materials and methods. 31 zircon grains 100–150 μm in size were isolated from a composite sample of harzburgites and dunites with a total weight of 4 kg for their subsequent U-Pb isotope dating. These analyzes were performed by the LA-ICP-MS method by scanning along straight profiles on the plane of sections of representative zircon grains.Results. All zircon grains from the general collection are characterized by a rounded shape, a rough surface, microfracturing, a weak cathodoluminescent glow to a complete absence, and an irregular oscillatory zoning. In some grains, microinclusions of epigenetic minerals, such as quartz, mica, etc. were found. It was previously determined that, within the entire collection of zircon grains, the values of their age, as well as U and Th contents, vary across rather wide intervals (3049–502 Ma), the reasons for which are the subject of discussions. The LA-ICP-MS scanning over the profiles of representative zircon grains from the general collection showed that REE, Th, and Y are distributed highly unevenly, occasionally showing signs of zoning. It is assumed that the zircons found in the ultramafic rocks of this massif are a relict phase and appeared as a result of the transformation of very ancient (more than 3 billion years old) juvenile crystals of this mineral, which had been originally located in the upper mantle protolith.Conclusions. Transformations of juvenile zircons and their transformation into a relict phase occurred in the process of partial melting of the protolith, during which they underwent thermal action (annealing), chemical resorption, as well as disturbances in their U-Pb systems, which caused uneven “rejuvenation” of their isotopic age. It is also assumed that the revealed geochemical heterogeneity of relict zircons was mainly due to the later redistribution of trace elements with the simultaneous formation of microinclusions of epigenetic minerals in the process of infiltration along microcracks into ultramafic rocks, precipitated by acidic melts.

In this paper γµ -open sets and γµ -closed sets in a GTS (X, µ) have been studied, where γµ is an operation from µ to P(X). In general, collection of γµ -open sets is smaller than the collection of µ-open sets. The condition under which both are same are also established here. Some properties of such sets have been discussed. Some closure like operators are also defined and their properties are discussed. The relation between similar types of closure operators on the GTS (X, µ) has been established. The condition under which the newly defined closure like operator is a Kuratowski closure operator is given. We have also defined a generalized type of closed sets termed as γµ -generalized closed set with the help of this newly defined closure operator and discussed some basic properties of such sets. As an application, we have introduced some weak separation axioms and discussed some of their properties. Finally, we have shown some preservation theorems of such generalized concepts.

Big data analytics is becoming more and more popular every day as a tool for evaluating large volumes of data on demand. Apache Hadoop, Spark, Storm, and Flink are four of the most widely used big data processing frameworks. Although all four architectures support big data analysis, they vary in how they are used and the infrastructure that supports it. This paper defines a general collection of main performance metrics, which include Processing Time, CPU Use, Latency, Execution Time, Performance, Scalability, and Fault-tolerance, and contrasting the four big data architectures against these KPIs in a literature review. When compared to Apache Hadoop and Apache Storm frameworks for non-real-time results, Spark was found to be the winner over multiple KPIs, including processing time, CPU usage, Latency, Execution time, and Scalability. In terms of processing time, CPU consumption, latency, execution time, and performance, Flink surpassed Apache Spark and Apache Storm architectures.

In the fall of 2018, I was asked to calculate the value of Grand Valley State University’s (GVSU) general collection (defined as everything except Special Collections and University Archives) as part of risk mitigation planning and updating insurance coverage. Records indicated that our collection’s value was last calculated 11 years earlier, and we lacked both written documentation and institutional memory regarding the process used to calculate that value. While there is a fairly significant body of knowledge around calculating the value of monographs, I struggled to find guidance on calculating the monetary value FDLP collections. There is a robust body of scholarship on promoting the intrinsic value of being a member of the FDLP to library administration and other stakeholders, but very few of them focus on detailed financial benefits of tangible collections.

The Paleontological Collection (PalCo) is one of partial collections of the Finnish Museum of Natural History Luomus. General principles and guidelines for the collections are defined in the General Collection Policy of Luomus. The PalCo Policy is subordinate to the General Collection Policy of Luomus, clarifying its content with reference to the special characteristics of the paleontological collections. The PalCo includes fossil plant, invertebrate and vertebrate specimens worldwide in scope and from all geologic ages to support Finnish research and educational projects. The coverage emphasizes Paleozoic and Quaternary specimens from Finland, the Baltic countries and Scandinavia. The PalCo Policy defines the purpose of the collections, the objectives, the distribution of responsibilities for collection management and maintenance in the organisation, and the principles of collection accumulation, preservation, accessibility and use.

The purpose of this study was to see the procedure of weeding library materials in the general collection room at the Halu Oleo Kendari University Library. The study used the concept of weeding procedures by Yulia (2010: 937) and the research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative research methods. The technique of determining information in this study was purposive sampling with 3 informants. The data techniques used in this research are observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that the procedure of weeding library materials in the general collection room was carried out by making the physical condition, level of use and duplication as a reference in selecting library materials. The stamp "removed from the library collection" proves that the library material is no longer owned by the library and library materials that have been heavily damaged and have low levels of use and library materials with many duplicates will not be returned to the shelf but will be stored or donated. The exchange of collections or grants for weeded library materials is carried out by taking into account the level of use and the number of expands on these library materials. placing the weeded collection in the warehouse first, first, it will first pull the completeness of the collection, such as a book card catalog which will later be used as an archive for the library. The data for the last 3 years of library materials are used by users as a reference in weeding activities carried out and saving content from library materials that are not weeded. Keywords: Analysis, Weeding Procedure, Library Material

Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent disease causing pelvic pain and infertility and there is still limited knowledge of the pathogenesis. Hydrosalpinx is commonly seen in a heterogeneous spectrum of pathologies of distal tubal occlusion. In general, collection of fluid in uterine tubes occur as the end stage of pyosalpinx or as the advenced stage of endometriosis with pelvic adhesion. In this report we present a very rarely seen case that is called intraluminal tubal endometriosis mimicking hydrosalpinx without pelvic adhesion in an infertile patient. The clinical features and the management of intraluminal tubal endometriosis case which is very rare cause of enlarged tuba uterina in an infertile patient discussed.

Type specimens from the collection of beetles (Coleoptera) deposited in the Department of Entomology, National Museum, Prague, are currently being catalogued. In this part of the catalogue dealing with the Staphylinini subtribe Philonthina (Staphylinidae: Staphylininae) we present information on types of 278 species level taxa. Except for the general collection, the type material comes mostly from the recently acquired collection of the late Lubomír Hromádka. A new substitute name, Philonthus acervulus nom. nov., is proposed for Philonthus zosterops Hromádka, 2013, a junior primary homonym of Philonthus zosterops Hromádka, 2011. One new combination is established: Eccoptolonthus terezae (Hromádka, 2016) comb. nov. from Pseudohesperus Hayashi, 2008. Philonthus zosterops Hromádka, 2011 is synonymized with P. mesophoyx Hromádka, 2016, syn. nov. Correct original spellings of Philonthus terathopius Hromádka, 2012 and Philonthus crecopsis Hromádka, 2013 are fixed. The type locality and distribution of Philonthus camelus Hromádka, 2008 is corrected from Tanzania: Kilimandjaro to the Republic of the Congo: Bouansa.
