Transdisciplinary is a paradigm based on the integration and balance of opposite points of view (dualities). This paper methodology involves transdisciplinarity applied to problem solutions, mainly from 1) Plato philosophy; 2) Taoist principle of duality Yin Yang, 3) Jungian psychology, so connected to modern physics and 4) Weil, Leloup and Crema psychological vision of holistic transdisciplinarity. Our findings in this regard involves Figure 11 for Jungian functions and Figure 12 model for problem solving through duality plus four elements. The objective is to create a comprehensive understanding of reality through Plato and Taoist philosophies, Alchemical tradition and Jungian psychology improved by the MBTI system, as tools for problem solving. Understanding the psychological types types to comprehend on how to achieve the best of each one, due to their innate strengths and capacities, so that a synergy of results can be created within the relationships. The MBTI serves both i) for self-knowledge, to make his own self-management on a day-to-day life, and ii) to understand how other people work psychologically, so that a synergy can be created in the process of relationships. The applied transdisciplinary approach is based on the principles of i) duality – interaction and integration of opposites, specially the analytical and synthetic methods and ii) four elements - rationality, feasibility, reasonableness and meaning. However, it is not a simplistic or a magical-vitalistic approach as it may seem to rationalists at first, as far as modern physics is concerned. The holistic view of reality, including holology (the study of the whole) and holopraxis (the praxis of the whole) can´t be confused with political ideology, something that happens very frequently to scientificists, who consider themselves "exempt" and “impartial”. Finally, the core idea is to promote transformation of the culture and personal behavior, connected to reasonableness and meaning, emotional and intuitive intelligences, mainly because of psychological sustainability and mental health.

The interior of northern Sweden was thc last area in Europe to become icefree and pioneer settlers arrived soon aftcr deglaciation. Early Mesolithic settlement sites in the Arjeplog area, Sweden, provide evidence of rapid colonization. This paper highlights the significance of the overall site arena as an interpretative unit for analyses of social life among the pioneer settlers in interior Northern Sweden. Results from the excavation of the Dumpokjauratj site dating to c. 8,600 BP (9,600 cal BP) are presented. The distinct spatial outline implies conformity in cultural codes during the initial phase of occupation reflecting an underlying principle of duality.

The article is devoted to the study of specificity of language means of implementing the images of heroes-leaders in the framework of a work of art. The paper considers the types of leadership of M. Weber (traditional leadership, rational-legal leadership and charismatic leadership) and M.G. Berne (transformers and dealers), as well as lexemes that explicitly convey the appearance of the heroes-leaders, which implicitly reflects both the writer’s attitude to the characters and the nature of the characters themselves. The research material is the language units that is taken from the parable-novel by William Golding “Lord of the flies” and the meanings of which convey the characteristic features of the appearance of such characters as Ralph and Jack. The paper describes the color scheme (masks, clothing) from the perspective of the color psychology. It also describes non-verbal communication of children with an emphasis on the social psychology of non-verbal communication and adolescent psychology. Using a complex of emotional and evaluative vocabulary (positive and negative) when describing the appearance of Ralph and Jack indicates that the writer is trying to show his attitude to the heroes of the parable-novel “Lord of the flies”, through which the characteristic external features of political leaders (democratic and despotic) are expressed. William Golding uses the principle of duality (two principles that are either irreducible or opposite to each other) when describing Ralph and Jack. Describing Ralph, the writer uses lexemes only with a positive connotation, while when the author recreates the image of Jack, he uses only words with a negative assessment. Thus, the author of the article comes to the conclusion that the writer feels sympathy for the democratic regime, which is expressed in the image of Ralph and antipathy to totalitarianism, which is expressed in the image of Jack. In the course of this study, the authors also come to the conclusion that in the image of Jack Meridew there are typical features of another despotic leader Adolf Hitler. This conclusion can be reached due to the external description of the hero and the word forms used by him (designation of an animal with a feminine pronoun, imperatives, etc.).

This chapter focuses on the general principle of duality, which was originally introduced by Simmel as the intersection of social circles. In a seminal article, Breiger formalized Simmel’s idea, showing how two-mode types of network data can be transformed into one-mode networks. This formal translation proved to be fundamental for social network analysis, which no longer needed data on who interacted with whom but could work with other types of data. In turn, it also proved fundamental for the analysis of how the social is structured in general, as many relations are dual (e.g. persons and groups, authors and articles, organizations and practices), and are thus susceptible to an analysis according to duality principles. The chapter locates the concept of duality within past and present sociology. It also discusses the use of duality in the analysis of culture as well as in affiliation networks. It closes with recent developments and future directions.

Fitting a cubic smoothing spline is a typical smoothing method. This paper reveals a principle of duality in the penalized least squares regressions relating to the method. We also provide a number of results derived from them, some of which are illustrated by a real data example.

The present article investigates Felix Klein’s mathematical structuralism underlying his Erlangen program. The aim here is twofold. The first aim is to survey the geometrical background of his 1872 article, in particular, work on the principle of duality and so-called transfer principles in projective geometry. The second aim is more philosophical in character and concerns Klein’s structuralist account of geometrical knowledge. The chapter will argue that his group-theoretic approach is best characterized as a kind of “methodological structuralism” regarding geometry. Moreover, one can identify at least two aspects of the Erlangen program that connect his approach with present philosophical debates, namely (i) the idea to specify structural properties and structural identity conditions in terms of transformation groups and (ii) an account of the structural equivalence of geometries in terms of transfer principles.

The article shows the role of the dual form of education in improving the quality of training of graduates of domestic educational institutions. The need to diversify the sources of funding for the dual form of higher education at the stages of its implementation is emphasized. The dual form of the organization of training by the motivating factor of diversification of sources of financing of education is defined. The content of the principle of duality and the peculiarities of its application in improving the professionalism of the graduate are revealed. The importance of two forms of student learning in different environments is emphasized. The concepts of «dual form of education acquisition» and «dual form of education organization» are described. The correctness of the application in scientific vocabulary and the practical application of the concepts «dual form of education acquisition» and «dual form of education organization» is emphasized. Foreign experience in financing higher education is analyzed. The multidimensionality in the training of specialists in free economic education with the use of academic capital and diversification of sources of funding for education in foreign practice is shown. The foreign experience of training specialists in working professions and financing vocational training is generalized. The benefits of direct and indirect funding of vocational education for the creation of additional jobs in the workplace have been identified. The German experience of formation of the Framework Curriculum by an educational institution and the Framework Plan of Practice with the participation of the employer is given. Emphasis is placed on the incentives and motivation of the mentor in teaching students in the workplace. The results of pilot projects on introduction of the dual form of the organization of training in domestic establishments on preparation of working trades are processed. It is stated a high level of employment of graduates of vocational schools and raise of savings due to increased practical training in the workplace. The peculiarities of realization of the dual form of organization of education and its financing in the Bar College of Transport and Construction are generalized. The necessity of taking into account the work schedule of employers when forming educational institutions’ curricula is proved. A comparison of the ratios of student learning in educational institutions and in workplaces with different models of the dual form of education is conducted. Calculations were made for the educational program with the distribution of loans between domestic institutions of higher education and employers. The main directions of development of educational and professional programs in institutions of higher education are offered. Keywords: forms of education, cost of education, theoretical training, practical training, base of practice, interests of an employer, educational-professional program, principle of duality, dual form of education acquisition, dual form of education organization, models of realization of dual form of education, institutions of higher education, institutions of professional education, financing of education, direct and indirect financing, financing of vocational training, financial support, diversification of sources of financial resources.
