The problem of a user orientation in modern information resources is raised. The role of electronic guides as a means of multidimensional information search is noted. The authors of the article translate the previously proposed definition of the concept of “electronic bibliographic guide” and reveal its significant features as a polystructural phenomenon. The authors analyze electronic bibliographic guides presented on the websites of federal and central libraries of the subjects of the Russian Federation. Their multidimensional classification is proposed. It takes into account 19 division bases. The results of the proposed study of these resources are presented. The characteristics of electronic guides on the following features are given: the method of access to reflected objects; access mode; language; the breadth of thematic coverage; belonging to a certain field of knowledge; a storage medium; the presence of a printed analogue. The three-part structure of electronic guides is considered, including an introductory article, the main part and auxiliary pointers and/or a search bar. The results and key findings can be used to improve the creation of electronic guides and improve the quality of electronic information resources created in libraries.

AbstractGamification has been discussed as a standout approach to improve user experience, with different studies showing that users can have different preferences over game elements according to their user types. However, relatively less is known how different kinds of users may react to different types of gamification. Therefore, in this study ($$N=331$$ N = 331 ) we investigate how user orientation (Achiever, Disruptor, Free Spirit, Philanthropist, Player, and Socializer) is associated with the preference for and perceived sense of accomplishment from different gamification designs. Beyond singular associations between the user orientation and the gamification designs, the findings indicate no comprehensive and consistent patterns of associations. From the six user orientations, five presented significant associations: Socializer orientation was positively associated with Social, Fictional, and Personal designs, while negatively associated with Performance design; Player orientation was positively associated with Social (Accomplishment), Personal, and Ecological designs, while negatively associated with the Social design (Preference); Disruptor orientation was positively associated with Social design; Achiever orientation was positively associated with Performance and Social designs; and Free Spirit orientation was negatively associated with Social design. Based on the results, we provide recommendations on how to personalize gamified systems and set further research trajectories on personalized gamification.

Five Research objectives were formulated; they are: to know the perception of users about the library orientation programs, to find out how orientation programs are designed towards helping the need of students on proper information utilization, to find out how orientation program impacted to student's academic performances, to examined the challenges occurring in academic library orientation, to formulate solutions to challenges occurring in academic library orientation. The instrument was subjected to face and content validation by three experts, from Library and Information Science, requesting to examine the clarity of expression used as well as the appropriateness of the language used in the instrument. Cronbach alpha method was used to determine internal consistency of the questionnaire items and a coefficient of 0.978 was obtained. With this reliability coefficient yielded, it was deem fit for the research to be conducted using the questionnaire designed for the data collection. The study took a survey of orientation programme of Federal University of Lafia using a descriptive method to analyse data collected, selecting one hundred and thirty-nine (139) research instruments distributed out of which 132 copies were collected for analysis. The population was sampled using simple random sampling technique, and questionnaire was distributed to the selected sampled respondents. The findings of the results obtained from the analysis are that user orientation has an impact vividly on students' academic programs. The orientation has introduced students to libraries around the University for the Information Resources and services provided therein, including the way of accessing and uses. It particularly enhance and improved the use of the library for students in pursuance of their education 100(75.8%) opine that Orientation confirms students access, while 108(81.8%) posits that it creates awareness on how to use the library. It also finds out challenges associated with the exercise; such as unqualified personnel to handle the program, inadequate time to treat all programs, more alarming the lack of collective curriculum amongst universities, uncooperative attitudes of some staffs 86(65.2%) indicated inadequate time to treat all programs. 96(72.7%) considered the use of unqualified personnel. In conclusion, user orientation and instruction has become important in all the tertiary institution in Nigeria, more so it’s assist patrons to know how to maximize the use of our libraries for self-motivated and self –reliant clientele.

The public works office of Maluku province is one of the public bodies that has the task of carrying out the affairs of the local government. The purpose of the research is to find out the extent of contribution and utilization through IT applications in supporting employee performance needs. This study uses IT Balanced Scorecard method as a means of measuring clearly, monitoring and optimizing the realization of business values or benefits and benefits of Information Technology where IT Balanced Scorecard has 4 perspectives (Organizational Contribution Perspective, User Orientation Perspective, Operational Excellence Perspective, and Future Orientation Perspective). The research method that will be used in The Measurement of Performance of Public Works Service Employees is mixed methods. In this study, data collection was obtained through interviews, observations, and dissemination of questionnaires to a selected number of respondents based on their abilities and relevant to their work. This study showed the measurement value of Organizational Contribution by 23 percent, User Orientation by 19 percent, Operations by 21 percent, and Future Orientation by 20 percent and for the average result of the IT Balanced Scorecard value is 85 percent. In the employee measurement results, the highest perspective is organization contribution by 23 percent, and the lowest perspective is User Orientation by 19 percent. Thus, it indicates that the employee as a user is not adequate in the activities for the future. The ability and expertise of employees still have limitations with a number of obstacles in organizing the system appropriately. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the competence and expertise in the training provided. And also satisfaction in using information system applications need to be improved again so as to be able to face the changes to come.

Based upon academic and clinical experience from Denmark, this article aims to highlight international research-based knowledge concerning challenging aspects about the understanding and implementation of recovery-oriented practice. Three key points are located: (a) An integrative biopsychosocial approach considering both the clinical and personal recovery perspectives is relevant for research and practice. (b) Barriers in implementing a recovery-oriented approach include both individual and systemic challenges. This is well documented in the research-based literature, highlighting the need for changes. (c) A shift from professional control to a service-user orientation is seen as crucial. Examples of a positive shift are seen, helping the health professionals in their development and practicing of skills and competences through education and personal formation. Within these perspectives, a paradigm shift from a one-dimensional biomedical approach to a biopsychosocial approach is suggested. Instead of focusing on rapid stabilisation and symptom relief as a clinical outcome, a humanistic approach building on social- and person-oriented values is fundamental for social and personal recovery leading to a meaningful life.

Technological developments greatly influence the increasing disruption to the system and system used by the user. Therefore, it is necessary to see how optimal the system is being used by an organization. The Regional Revenue Management Unit (UPPD) of Salatiga City is also inseparable from the development of information technology. By using several information systems, they try to keep up one of the technological developments by using the Asset Management Information System (SIMASET) based website for data collection of goods in and out of the UPPD Salatiga City. In this study using the IT Balanced Scorecard method as a planning solution in terms of performance measurement and monitoring the realization of the value or business benefits and benefits of Information Technology which the IT Balanced Scorecard has four perspectives namely Company Contribution Perspective, User Orientation Perspective, Improvement Perspective Operations and Future Orientation Perspectives. Results and discussion of the 4 Perspectives on Balanced IT Scorecard in this study, it is expected that the User Orientation Perspective and the Future Perspective is doing some improvement because in the User Orientation Perspective the system used often has errors and is quite convoluted in use, the Future Orientation Perspective is almost the same as the User Orientation Perspective, where the quality of the new system still needs to be improved again.
