The use of technological learning tools has been increasingly recognized as a useful tool to promote students’ motivation to deal with, and understand, mathematics concepts. Current digital technology allows students to work interactively with a large number and variety of graphics, complementing the theoretical results and often used paper and pencil calculations. The computer algebra system Mathematica is a very powerful software that allows the implementation of many interactive visual applications. The main goal of this work is to show how some new dynamic and interactive tools, created with Mathematica and available in the Computable Document Format (CDF), can be used as active learning tools to promote better student activity and engagement in the learning process. The CDF format allows anyone with a computer to use them, at no cost, even without an active Wolfram Mathematica license. Besides that, the presented tools are very intuitive to use which makes it suitable for less experienced users. Some tools applicable to several mathematics concepts taught in higher education will be presented. This kind of tools can be used either in a remote or classroom learning environment. The corresponding CDF files are made available as supplement of the online edition of this article.

In this study, Portable Document Format (PDF), Word, Excel, Rich Test format (RTF) and image documents are taken as the research objects to study a static and fast method by which to detect malicious documents. Malicious PDF and Word document features are abstracted and extended, which can be used to detect other types of documents. A universal static detection framework for malicious documents based on feature generalization is then proposed. The generalized features include specification check errors, the structure path, code keywords, and the number of objects. The proposed method is verified on two datasets, and is compared with Kaspersky, NOD32, and McAfee antivirus software. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves good performance in terms of the detection accuracy, runtime, and scalability. The average F1-score of all types of documents is found to be 0.99, and the average detection time of a document is 0.5926 s, which is at the same level as the compared antivirus software.

Revolution 4.0 resulted in teachers having to continue to improve their abilities, especially in making learning media. Learning media is one of the teacher's tools to transfer knowledge to students. With the suitable media, the level of student understanding of the lesson will increase. During this pandemic, the learning method used is online. Teachers only provide material in the form of files in document format. Giving such learning materials makes students less interested in learning which causes a decrease in understanding of the material. From these problems, we need a learning media that can make students understand the material, which gives students enthusiasm in learning, namely by changing the learning media used today. One of the learning media that can increase students' interest in learning is interactive media, such as QR Code technology. For this reason, teachers need knowledge and understanding of making learning media using QR codes. To support this, the school held community service activities. The activity aims to introduce and provide training on QR Code Technology in the Development of Learning Media at SDN 15 Pal Merah, West Jakarta, so learning is more exciting and interactive.

Since only a small number of patients have a rare disease, it is difficult to identify all of the features of these diseases. This is especially true for patients presenting with the rarest diseases. It can also be difficult for the patient, their families, and even clinicians to know which one of a number of disease phenotypes the patient is exhibiting. This, again, is especially true for patients uncommonly presenting with rare diseases. To address this issue, during Biomedical Linked Annotation Hackathon 7 (BLAH7), we tried to extract Alexander disease patient data in Portable Document Format. We then visualized the phenotypic diversity of those Alexander disease patients with uncommon presentations. This led to us identifying several issues that we need to overcome in our future work.

The Portable Document Format (PDF) is one of the most common document file types in academia, both in the library and the classroom. Unfortunately, PDF poses unique barriers to accessibility, particularly for the visually impaired. Ensuring that all people can read PDF content can be complex and expensive. There are alternative formats that can be made accessible with a lower level of effort, providing a better experience for both the end reader and the document author. This article serves as a call to arms for higher education to migrate away from PDF and to urge the tech community to develop new file formats that lend themselves to enhanced accessibility on a limited budget.

The financial information that has been made by the accountant can now be easily accessed by the part of the leadership. However there are difficulties faced by the leaders as well as accountants, one that is non-uniformity of financial document format. This has resulted in the related division must input the financial document data which is the task of their division into the system. After that, the division sends the documents to the accountant for then the accountant enters it back into the system. This causes work to be inefficient because it has to be entered twice. In this research, the application was made with the concept of uniform financial document formats so that one entry is sufficient. Application is made using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The existence of the study expected that Application can improve the quality of financial reporting in the process recording the financial report
