Indonesian Language for foreign speaker (BIPA) students are very interested in cultural values, the provision of cultural values is very important for BIPA students to enrich their language skills. Even cultural errors can be more serious than language errors. Trihita Karana is a philosophical value of living in harmony with God, nature, and fellow human beings. To teach BIPA students, it is necessary to have a genuine learning method so that BIPA students can absorb the culture significantly. The twenty BIPA learners in the State Polytechnic of Bali were conducted in this research. Questionnaire and observation methods were used in data collection. The data obtained were then analysed using a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of BIPA students' responses to several methods being tested, it can be concluded that 96.7% of respondents argued that the Trihita Karana cultural learning method was very feasible to support the BIPA learning process. There were several methods appreciated by BIPA students, including guessing pictures, running while dictation, observing, video documentation, immersion, and debate. Among these methods, the immersion method was the most favoured by BIPA students because they directly experienced it in daily life.

This study is titled the progress of speech production in people with autism (case study in a girl named Aliya Salsabila Ramadhani). The study was conducted by Mu'thia Mubasyira, Zainal Rafli and Endry Boeriswati. To correspond the email used is [email protected] and the orchid number is 0000-0002-4084-3382. This study was conducted with the aim to find out how the progress of speech production in people with autism with the object of research on a girl named Aliya Salsabila Ramadhani who is now 9 years old. This study tried to analyze the primary data obtained by explaining the progress of language and Aliya speech production from the age of 3 months old until now. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods that seek to describe the progress of Aliya language and speech production with a short narrative and exposure to data retrieval techniques used through observation of video documentation of activities carried out and through questionnaires and interviews. In addition, this study also uses relevant references as study materials so that holistic and thorough discussion results are obtained. From the characteristics that seem to be known that Aliya is classified as experiencing mild austism. It is also obtained through the analysis of language development and how Aliya interacts with the environment and the surrounding people. Aliya also has abstinence from certain foods to suppress so that her behavior is not too hyper or excessive. Aliya's language progress and speech production made significant increasement  after she received developmental therapy and speech therapy and attended a special needs school. This research is expected to add to the treasures of science, especially those related to psycholinguistics with the study of language development and speech production in people with autism.

The 2018 anti-government protests in Nicaragua generated a vast amount of photographic imagery, video documentation, and visual graphics. On the street and via social media, everyday citizens engaged with this material, activating a multisensory environment. The production of visual content was nonetheless accompanied by iconoclastic gestures; vandalism became a means of reclaiming Nicaragua’s revolutionary past and its symbols, while deploying them towards the making of a yet to be imagined political future. Drawing on examples from Chile and Mexico, the article argues that acts of vandalism may be understood as symbolically reparative. The materiality of the protests, manifested through image, trace, gesture, and sound (slogans, chants, noise) becomes a means towards analysing, ethnographically, revolutionary imaginaries caught within the flux of an unsettled present.

In order to compare the vibration and noise exposure of STIHL’s battery-powered MSA 220 C and the combustion driven MS 201 C, a professional operator was monitored during a pre-commercial thinning operation in a twenty-year-old hardwood stand. The vibration levels were measured with a tri-axial accelerometer on the front and rear handle of both the chainsaws, and assigned to five different work elements using a video documentation. Additionally, noise levels were recorded in one-minute intervals, with a dosemeter worn by the operator. The results show that battery-powered chainsaws, when compared to combustion-driven chainsaws, can reduce the daily vibration exposure by more than 45% and the noise dose by about 78.4%, during pre-commercial thinning tasks. Replacing combustion-driven chainsaws with battery-powered ones is therefore generally recommended, to reduce occupational health risks for operators, in this respect. However, the daily vibration exposure of about 2.42 m/s2, caused by the battery-powered chainsaw on the front handle, is still very close to the daily exposure action value set by the EU directives for health and safety requirements. The daily noise exposure of 89.18 dB(A) even exceeds the upper exposure action value. Consequently, a further reduction in the vibration exposure during work is desirable. With respect to noise exposure, additional measures must be implemented for conformity with the current safety standards, making the use of hearing protectors mandatory for electric chainsaws, too.

Shared music improvisation constitutes a formidable vector for intersubjective connection. Improvisation is a space of non-semantic communication that allows for putting oneself at risk and requires mutual trust and listening, as well as dialogical qualities. This article investigates the intersubjective dimension of improvisation in electronic music praxis, focusing on how the electronic medium can be used to foster mediation between musicians. The article builds on a practice-based enquiry in duo format, conducted in three successive technological settings, with a methodological entanglement of aesthetic and design aims. Systematic video documentation and participant observation provide an analytical counterpoint to an immersion in the improvisatory praxis. A set of design strategies for fostering intersubjective connection in shared musicianship emerges from the research. The findings provide the basis for a dialectical consideration between musical and intersubjective aesthetics. The discussion points to the diversity of social functions of music and their respective aesthetics. Electronic instruments’ inherent plasticity allows for reconfiguring the social space of music-making, and thus opens perspectives for devising synergetic music systems that emphasise an ethos of shared agency over the production of musical objects or performances.

The Sokoguru Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO), with one of its activities which is a place for empowering the communities. After conducting an interview with the foundation managers and a survey of the member of the community, the results show that the ability to do entrepreneurship online is essential for the community. Therefore, the community services’ team provide training for the community about the use of social media, especially using Instagram to do digital marketing. This community service activity methodology uses a Participatory Rural Approach in the form of training and mentoring. The service is carried out in 3 stages: preparation, training and evaluation. Preparation is done by seeking information on material requirements for training. The training stage is carried out using an online system with Zoom Meeting (due to COVID-19 19 pandemic). Next, the training is filled with the presentation from the community service’s team, question and answer and sharing experiences. The result of the evaluation, this service activity adds new knowledge for participants (100%), usefulness (52.6%: very useful, 47.4%: useful). As well as increasing interest in online marketing by 73.7% from the previous 57%. Apart from scientific articles, the output of this activity is in the form of training modules, articles on the Kompas mass media, and video documentation on the YouTube channel.

The objectives of the research were to find out the strategies used by teachers in teaching speaking at SMAN 5 Kota Bengkulu and to describe how the teachers implement the strategies in the teaching process. This research was descriptive qualitative. The subjects were two English teachers who taught at tenth grade. The data were collected by using field notes and video documentation and were analyzed by using four procedures by Miles and Huberman namely data collection, data reduction, displaying data, and conclusion. The results showed that teacher 1 used seven strategies from twelve speaking strategies and teacher 2 used eight speaking strategies. The strategies used were Task Completion (50%), Opinion Sharing (83.3%), Information Transfer (16.6%), Reasoning Gap (33.3%), Questioning (100%), Brainstorming (33.3%), Scaffolding (100%), and Drilling (66.6%). Meanwhile, the other four speaking strategies were not used such as Information Gap, Jigsaw, Information Gathering, and Role Play. For the implementation, the teachers gave explanation and instruction to the students before applying the strategy. The teachers asked the students to work in pairs or groups which made them to communicate in English. In short, although the name of the strategy used by teachers was similar to each other, but the steps or ways carried out by them was different from one teaching to another. Furthermore, the teachers applied the strategies based on students’ condition, need, and material in order to help students become more active in the process of teaching and learning.
