In cities vehicle checking and analysis is a prominent task. These tasks are accomplished by traffic policeman and include various manual works. We present a system to automate the existing task using the technologies Internet of things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The proposed system checks the details of the vehicle and isolates unauthorized automobiles, detects the overall traffic in a specific area, road damage analysis and automated fine collection and toll collection. This system is composed of a two module. Module one embedded with a unique code located in the vehicle and Module two is a scanning device in which the unique code is obtained and further processed in the receiving end using which other details of the vehicle is gathered from the cloud storage. This paper mainly focuses on multiple checking of vehicles using RFID wireless communication, OFDMA technique for numerous access and Artificial Intelligence to predict the traffic and road damage analysis. This system operates using radio frequency communication, and replaces manual task in vehicle invigilation process.

Particulate matter (PM) is an air pollutant that has an impact on public health, especially in an urban area. The objective of this study was to analyze the personal concentration of PM2.5 and its composition among police working in the roadside area in Jakarta. PM measurement has done to the policeman that controlled traffic on four near highway locations in Jakarta. Sioutas impactor, Leland Legacy personal pump, and quartz fiber filter were chosen to measure the fine particles. Each PM was measured for 8-hour period. PM concentration was analyzed by the gravimetric method while tracing element and black carbon in PM0.25 by energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) and EEL Smoke Stain Reflectometer. As a result, near highway PM2.5 concentration in Jakarta during weekdays and weekends measurement are 92.18 ± 10.66 μg/m3, and 78.09 ± 11.61 μg/m3. S, K, Fe, Ca, Zn, and Pb are major elements found in all locations. The black carbon concentration in all location was 17 ± 5.7 μg/m3. A high concentration of fine particles, a traffic-related trace element in PM0.25, and black carbon are showed that traffic-related source is the major contributor to a high level of fine particulate matter at near highway locations in Jakarta. The weekday's concentration of PM2.5 and PM0.25 among Jakarta Policemen was higher than in the weekend concentration. A particle with size of less than 0.25 µm dominated the fine particles concentration. Further researcher is expected to see the difference in the effects of traffic-related particulate matter exposure between traffic policeman and police who work at office.

The automobiles are an important source of not only air pollution but also of a significant proportion of noise pollution. The traffic police engaged in controlling traffic, particularly at heavy traffic junctions, belong to the high risk group to be affected by the health hazards of noise and air pollution. To assess the hearing quality of traffic policeman towards the health effects caused by noise pollution and their practices on the use of protective measures. The present cross-sectional study was carried out among 78 traffic policemen working in Dharan-Biratnagar corridor. The questionnaire included questions regarding the self- assessment of the traffic policeman about their hearing ability, past and present exposure to loud sound produce by automobiles and the use of personal protective devices. Ethical clearance was obtained from ethical board of BPKIHS, Verbal consent was taken from all the study subjects. Finding of this study shows that most of the respondents were between the ages of 25 to 29 years (33.3%), similarly 26% were under noise exposure since more than 10 to 14 years and 34.6% had exposure of noise 10 to 15 hours per day. Their self-assessment of hearing ability shows that 6.4% traffic policemen usually missed a lot when conversing with someone on phone, while 9% reported similar condition while talking to someone in a crowd and 23.1% reported that while watching television or while listening radio they usually kept the sound louder to hear properly. The study also revealed that the traffic police, in general do not use any personal protective equipment (92.3 %) and the non-availability of the PPEs is the common reasons for it. The self-assessment of hearing by traffic policemen suggests that most of the traffic policemen have normal hearing. However, a systematic study with audiometry of these subjects is recommended.

AbstrakDi Indonesia khususnya kota besar, kecelakaan yang disebabkan kendaraan bermotor menjadi persoalan yang serius. Salah satunya disebabkan kurangnya pemahaman tentang safety riding. Kata Kunci: komik, interaktif, safety riding, digital storytelling AbstractIn Indonesia especially in big cities, the accident which caused by rider is still become serious issue. One factor which cause accident is the lack of knowledge about safety riding. A lot of efforts which have been carried by traffic policeman are talkshow, radio broadcast, and leaflet media for public society. This research is an effort to find unconventional media for safety riding campaign. Data was obtained through interview, observation, and study of literature as sources of content for interactive comic. Through digital storytelling approach and communication model of SMCR and refers to Research and Development, the concept prototype of interactive comic can be described more detail and also can be implemented in mobile device especially tablet PCs. The prototype is expected can be develop further so it really can be published as supported media for safety riding campaign.  Keywords: comic, interactive, safety riding, digital storytelling

I report with regret that several of the tables in ‘The Queen and the Prime Minister [this Journal, IV (1974), 257–87], contained small mechanical errors, largely affecting percentage distribution by one or two per cent. Should anyone need a ‘laundered’ reprint of the article, please let me know. There is one error of substantive importance: in Table 6 (p, 282) the correct percentage of French and U.S. white children perceiving that a head of state stopped by a traffic policeman would be described as ‘above the law’ is 43 and 31 per cent respectively. English nationalists will be pleased to know that this revised statistic eliminates the ‘finding’that U.S. whites are less likely to evince this sentiment than are English children. The correct statistics will appear in my December 1975 American Political Science Review article ‘The Benevolent Leader Revisited’.
