Knowledge of postural regulation in different sports is useful for sports selection and for improvement of postural stereotypes. Objective: to reveal postural regulation features of teenagers involved in pop dance.Materials and methods: 15 pop dancers involved in dance more than 10 years performed Romberg and optokinetic tests on computer stabilograph “Trust-M Stabilo”.Results: the area and length of the dancers’ statokinesiogram were less than in general sample, statokinesiogram’s pressure center had been dextrally dislocated. Visual disturbances as well as vision deprivation led to statistically significant increase in speed of center of pressure movement along reference plane and in the ratio of statokinesiogram’s length to its area. All these changes were less pronounced than in the general sample. Conclusions: postural regulation of dancers proved to be better than that of healthy people who were not involved in sports.

Abstract The enzyme polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase like 6, encoded by the GALANTL6 gene, plays a role in the gut microbiome regarding regulation of short-chain fatty acids and their anti-inflammatory and resynthesis functions. It was hypothesized that the T allele of the GALNTL6 rs558129 polymorphism could have a positive effect on anaerobic metabolism. Thus, this study was performed to investigate the association between GALNTL6 rs558129 polymorphism and athletic performance in swimmers. A total of 147 Polish short distance (SDS) and 49 long distance swimmers (LDS) of national or international competitive levels and 379 controls were genotyped using the real-time polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR). We found that the carriers of the T allele (CT+TT) had a 1.56 times higher chance of being SDS (odds ratio (OR): 95%CI 1.06-2.29) than the CC homozygotes. The T allele was overrepresented in the SDS compared with controls (33.7% vs. 25.7%, p = 0.025, OR 1.40, 95% CI 1.04-1.87), but no statistically significant differences were found for LDS. This study provides evidence for an association between the GALNTL6 rs558129 polymorphism and short distance swimming athlete status. Although more replication studies are needed, the preliminary data suggest an opportunity to use the analysis of GALNTL6 polymorphism along with other variants of candidate genes and standard phenotypic assessment in power-oriented sports selection.

The article presents the basics of the competence approach to the professional activity of a football coach-teacher in a process of sports selection. To train and teach children, teenagers and young people to play football is a difficult, from many points of view, professional and pedagogical task. It is necessary, first of all, that the coach-teacher as a football specialist was able to combine the understanding of technical, technical-tactical, tactical-strategic, on the one hand, as well as educational, communicative and psycho-physiological qualities on the other. In this case, the trainer-teacher must always take into account the age characteristics of the development of their players. It is known that the early transition of young talented players to professional football teams has, in general, not entirely predictable consequences. At the same time, the objective reality is that it is impossible to predict the future professional level of young players. Therefore, an important professional competence of a coach-teacher is the ability to "hold" and then "push" your talented student in the transition from one level to another. The competence of a football coach should cover all areas of teaching the basics of physical education and sports at school age and provides in-depth knowledge in many areas to address issues related to the dynamics and specifics of learning to play football. Particular attention should be paid to the development of creative game thinking and the formation of coordination skills, which are the basis of movement techniques and game actions. For a coach of young football players, who is endowed with such characteristics, it is a determining factor in achieving results that bring professional satisfaction and creative success.

An important role in the modern strategies of the game of highly qualified football teams belongs to the players who are "responsible" for the control of the playing space in the flank and semi-flank (adjacent to the flank) areas of the football field. Together with players of other roles, they express the creative game potential of the team's flank attack and defence. We are talking about flanking attacking defenders-laterals. The study of the analysis and implementation of sports selection of flank players through the prism of unity with tactical and strategic aspects is an important issue in the theory and practice of football. This also applies to the learning, education, training, improvement and development of the fastest and most correct game thinking and instant tactical and strategic response in the process of game actions of the attacking flank defender-lateral. The aim. Study of tactical and strategic orientation of sports selection of flank lateral defender in modern football strategies. The basic principle of our approach is that in football, as in other team games, the end result is much greater than the simple sum of the game's local actions and components. A methodical set of tools for training, coaching and improving attacking flank defenders-laterals, who are the bearers of the creative potential of team flank attack in modern football strategies, based on the principle of tactical and strategic control of the playing space in the flank areas of the football field. In the zone of defence of "their" goal, and in the zones of creation and completion of dangerous goal moments at the gate of the opposing team.

An optimal sports selection is formed by assessment of genotype (dermatoglyph) and phenotype (somatotype, body composition and physical abilities). The purpose of the study was to determine relationship between dermatoglyphics and morpho-functional profile in professional futsal athletes in the city Bogotá. The sample consisted of 12 men, who were anthropometrically evaluated, with a fat % of 18,4 ± 5,9; a musculoskeletal mass of 32,4 ± 4,4 kg and endo-mesomorphic somatotype. Through of dermatoglyphics, predominance was determined in the fingerprint designs L (69,2 ± 23,1), D10 (11,3 ± 3,6), SQTL (140,7 ± 95,1). Finally, explosive force was assessed with the Squat Jump test, in which the post position achieved the greatest height. In conclusion, there is a predisposition towards the physical capacities of speed, power, coordination and resistance, in addition the explosive force is greater in athletes with a lower value in endomorphic component and in percentage of fat mass.

The current stage of development of Ukrainian football requires a software solution to a number of complex problems related to improving the quality of the game and increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian teams in the international arena. In this context, it is essential to address topical issues of sports selection and game orientation of players at all industry levels. We believe that the study of the best Belgian experience in building and organizing a system of sports selection and game orientation of players can fill the necessary information and methodological gap in understanding the deep processes of success in modern high-achievement sports. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to determine the features of the organization and conduct of the process of sports selection and game orientation of Belgian football players. The Belgian Royal Football Association has created a well-thought-out and structured system of education, upbringing, training, improvement and development of playing opportunities for young footballers from the age of 6. The use of game and competitive methods of "nurturing" football talents is the basis of the Belgian theoretical and methodological approach. Simultaneously with the development of creative game potential, the emphasis is on the harmonious growth of football personalities. Clear structuring of training and competitive requirements - the basis of successful performances of the national teams of Belgium in the international arena. The success of the Belgian national football team in recent years is undeniable. The country of 11 million people with only 34 professional football clubs has managed to nurture the "golden football generation".

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the organization and conduct of the process of sports selection in youth and professional football in England. The main scientific and methodological approaches of software and system support of the process of sports selection in youth and professional football in England are analysed. The program of the English Football Association "Talent pathway" (in the Ukrainian edition - "Шлях таланту") is presented in detail. The essence of this program is that due to participation in the program in special "Regional Talent Camps" and "National Talent Camps" thoughtful and in-depth selection and sports training are young football players aged 7 to 16 years. The program of the English Premier League "Premier League Primary Stars" has been studied. We believe that a certain selective broadcast of the English system of organization and conduct of the process of sports selection and selection in youth and professional football is possible in terms of the model of functioning and improvement of youth football schools and football clubs of Ukraine. Scientific and practical approaches to the organization and conduct of educational, training and competitive forms of sports selection and orientation in the age groups "U 10" (children under 10 years) and "U 12" (children under 12 years) are analysed. The system of organization of competitions in age groups "U 14" (teenagers under 14 years) and "U 16" (boys under 16 years) is studied. Such a scientific and methodological approach can provide an opportunity to effectively integrate domestic football to the best examples of European and world sport of excellence, which are competitions under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA.

The article analyzes student sport, which is a reserve of high-performance sport, on the one hand, and a powerful factor in health preservation and socialization of future specialists and active members of society, on the other hand. The article discusses sports selection and orientation in the context of sportization of orientation of university physical education towards preservation of students’ health, creation of health-forming educational space to ensure the development of health-forming values that result in the improvement of students’ health and physical condition. The aim of the study is to develop, apply and evaluate the effectiveness of the integrated technology of students’ sports selection and orientation towards university physical education specializations tailored to students’ individual characteristics. The general scientific research methodology is presented by a systematic approach to determining a person’s individual characteristics in the unity and interrelation of biological, social and psychological components, their influence on choice and success in certain activities, and their impact on health. Methods of scientific analysis, observation, experiment, empirical methods of psychological diagnostics, psychophysiological methods, statistical and mathematical methods were used. The study was conducted from January, 2016 to September, 2020. It involved 327 people: athletes from the DYUSSHOR (children and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve) of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, adult athletes, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of the schools of Siberian Federal University from educational specializations in basketball, aerobics, and rock climbing. The proposed methods of selection and orientation towards specializations in physical education can be applied in universities regarding the practice of student sport as a reserve of high-performance sport and mass student sport. The proposed methods of orientation of students towards physical education specializations tailored to their individual characteristics can be applied in the system of higher physical education and in physical education classes at universities. When assessing the conformity of the athlete’s data to the chosen sport, which is a mathematical algorithm for assessing the conformity of professionally significant qualities to those required in the chosen sport, the obtained data on the athletes’ conformity ranged from 70% to 93%. These data confirm the previously obtained data on the prevailing tendencies in the severity of the typological characteristics of the nervous system properties in athletes doing different sports, as well as the correspondence of the typological complex of the nervous system of those under the study with the athletes’ morphological and functional characteristics required in elite sports. As a result of the study, the established correspondence of these students to the chosen specializations ranges from 48% (rock climbing, 1st year female students) to 87% (female students, basketball). The following motives can be considered the most significant for the group of students under the study: health preservation, social sphere, and physical perfection. The use of modern methods of orientation and selection in the context of the sportization of physical education will contribute to solving the problems that the staff of the Department of Physical Education face in helping the students to choose the type of physical activity (the student’s orientation towards mass student sport, health-improving physical education), as well as a specific sport
