This research aims to analyze and explain hegemonic social relation in outsourcing practice in Makassar city concerning; (1) the causes of hegemonic social relation among actorss of user, provider and laborer, (2) the patterns and types of hegemonic social relation, and (3) the social and economic impacts of hegemonic social relation. This research employs the kind of descriptive research with qualitative approach. The result of this study gives more clear and deeper describe concerning many kinds of meaning which are behind the fact so that this research uses phenomenological method with perspective interpretative. While the phenomenon is outsourcing practice in Makassar city. The result of this research shows that the social relation among actors user, provider and laborer in outsourcing practice in Makassar city is not just an ordinary economic relation but it is a veiled power relation which constructs a hegemonic social relation. The hegemonic social relation is caused by some factors, namely; (a) unlimited authority owned by user, (b) closed management applicated by provider, (c) laborer’s less bargaining position, and (d) lost government intervention. The four causes create the patterns and types of hegemonic social relation in outsourcing practice, namely; (1) absolute hegemony by user toward provider and laborer like, job outsourcing (job transfer), job responsibility transfer, and the use of manpower and more work time, (2) semi-hegemony by provider toward laborer by action of transferring laborer from one user to others, and (3) absolute hegemonized toward laborer by both user and provider through the use of laborer’s work power by user, outsourcing of laborer from one user to others done by provider. the fact, outsourcing practice benefits the captilists (user and provider), on the contrary, it harms the laborer.

In motion control, the generation of motion profiles for non-linear kinematics is usually computationally complex. In order to minimize the workload on the machine’s control system, the approach pursued is outsourcing complex calculation tasks to the offline area. In this offline motion preparation, predefined criteria have to be taken into account to guarantee process stability on the real machine. During the motion preparation, a high performance is desired, characterized by less data generated and at the same time little computing effort. The evaluation will use the example of a motion specification, which is characterized by a large amount of data compared to conventional motion specifications. Thus, the demands on performance become even higher. This paper examines the performance of different motion preparation approaches known from literature. On the one hand, selected spline-based algorithms are discussed and compared. A recursive algorithm based on monomial splines is recommended for use in the example. On the other hand, a very simple approach based on the linearization of the non-linear workspace of the mechanism is presented and applied on the algorithms. With this, the performance increased significantly again.

The article is aimed at defining the role of improving the management of logistic processes as a method of improving the activity of enterprise. The relevance of application of logistic approach in the management of enterprise and definition of the concept of «management of logistic processes» is explored. The reasons for the relevance of the problem of improving the management of logistic processes of enterprise, especially during the period of instability in all countries of the world because of the COVID-19 pandemic, are allocated; factors influencing the efficiency of the supply chain are defined. The goals of supply processes management and supply chains management for the enterprise and logistic system are indicated. The importance of established communications and transparency of information flows of the logistic system in the process of regulation of activities at different levels of organization of logistic processes is substantiated. It is emphasized that the most common type of organization of logistic processes is outsourcing. A definition of logistics outsourcing is provided, the advantages and disadvantages of using outsourcing in logistics activities are considered, since the cost-efficiency of its use is quite a complex parameter, as is the service itself. The expediency of using a methodical approach in the management of logistic processes is examined, according to which the effectiveness of outsourcing of logistic functions is considered as the difference between the costs of the process. The research showed that improvement of management of logistic processes is of particular importance, since their competent organization is the key to improving the efficiency of production and economic activity of enterprise along with rapid adaptation to a changing environment.

This article summarizes relevant literature in critical border studies and explores how contemporary changes in border policing and management affect the nature of the contemporary state and sovereignty. It asks: If it is not clear where exactly borders are, how does this impact our understanding of state sovereignty? How is the deterritorialization of borders challenging our understanding of territorial sovereignty? How is outsourcing "legitimate means of violence" to non-state actors on borders reshaping the state's authority? In dominant political and public discourse, borders are seen as a common and defining feature of modern statehood. The modern nation-state political theology has invested the monopoly of governance over borders exclusively to the state. However, contemporary border practices challenge such an idea. Ethnographic studies show that while borders are bound to the nation-state sovereign power, they are also sites where multiple actors come into play and are increasingly disentangled from the geopolitical lines on a map. Ethnographic focus provides insights into everyday workings of sovereign power, a topic often overloaded with abstraction and relegated to the realm of theory. However, while ethnographic studies about border control and management question the prevailing ideas about state and borders, these studies often remain trapped in statist logic and spatial assumptions of the modern territorial state. Considering the historical perspective and incorporating the analysis of economic processes on the state and border could help mitigate the shortcomings mentioned above.

Information Systems (IS) and Information Technologies (IT) are fundamental elements for the competitiveness of organizations. Thus, an efficient development of IT/IS projects is a key factor for business success. Nowadays companies are increasingly outsourcing their activities, including the development of IT/IS projects. However, the results of investments often lead to frustration and are far from meeting the expectations. Bearing this in mind, this paper proposes a new framework – ISOPM – that identifies the most relevant activities for the IT/IS outsourcing projects management, aiming to contribute to the study and development of this specific area of project management.

Both information systems outsourcing and knowledge management are well-established business phenomena. Regardless of organisational reasons for information systems (IS) outsourcing, knowledge remains the single most important resource for organisations to be managed. In an attempt to provide tactical mechanisms for creating and managing shared knowledge in organisations embarking on IS outsourcing arrangements, this chapter focuses on the design and application of a knowledge framework for IS outsourcing, with the purpose of guiding organisations in their knowledge exchange planning through concrete mechanisms, practical steps, and validation. Key considerations for information systems outsourcing is mapped to critical success factors, each associated with a set of knowledge requirements and knowledge flows to support the successful achievement of a specific critical success factor. An associated assessment tool was designed to identify knowledge exchange mechanisms and potential issues and gaps in current or future information systems outsource arrangements.

Outsourcing systems are in great demand by other companies because the services of outsourcing companies help other companies run their businesses. Law No. 13 of 2003 has helped many new companies or companies that have been established to make efficiency through the use of outsourcing company services to produce certain products or services. In this research, the company that we research is outsourcing company PT Garda Wibawa Sukses. Employees at this company are given legal protection, such as: economic protection, social protection, and technical protection and this company also provides legal protection for female employees. In addition, employees in this company also have rights and obligations attached to each of them. Rights owned by employees can be obtained in accordance with those owned by employees in general. In addition to having rights, employees must obey the obligations set by the company and have been agreed by both parties. This type of research uses the Normative Juridical method, namely by conducting an analysis of outsourcing companies regarding the rights and obligations obtained by outsourcing employees at PT Garda Wibawa Sukses in accordance with statutory regulations.

Purpose This paper aims to examine information system (IS) outsourcing success through the satisfaction achieved therewith. It simultaneously analyzes how IS outsourcing may influence the IS managers’ job. Design/methodology/approach The results obtained in a survey on this topic carried out over a 12-year period are described. The proposal consists in a model that relates the degree of outsourcing with the satisfaction achieved therewith, in which the influence exerted by IS on the systems manager’s job acts as a mediating variable. Findings The study concludes that the way in which outsourcing affects the IS managers positively influences the satisfaction achieved with this service. Research limitations/implications Outsourcing poses a great challenge for IS managers because they must devote more time to their managerial functions, and they need more knowledge too. These greater requirements or demands will most probably make these executives feel unsatisfied with outsourcing. However, the paper shows that satisfaction increases insofar as, despite all these demands, the working post characteristics improve, and the satisfaction and autonomy of IS managers grows and most importantly, they believe that their job has a higher added value. Originality/value No studies had, hitherto, related outsourcing success and the implications of outsourcing for IS managers.
