This study aims to look at the public sentiment represented by Twitter users regarding tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data is taken using Drone Emprit Academic in the form of archives or written documents, images, or video recordings that are produced, distributed and responded to by Twitter social media users. The results showed that people did not pay more attention to tourism during the pandemic. The developing narrative related to the topic of tourism during a pandemic is an appeal and an invitation to follow health protocols from government accounts, namely the police and local governments. In addition, people still have a fear of doing tourism activities during a pandemic even though the pandemic has hit for one year.

Training program evaluation is highly necessary and important to improve the business, particularly in the hospitality business. The aim of this research is to analyze the quality of training programs held for employees in the Front Office Department at Aryaduta Bali Hotel based on the Kirkpatrick Model and finding out a possible suggestion for improvement that could be done to enhance the quality of training programs. The data for this study was obtained by distributing an online questionnaire and conducting interviews. To validate the data, testing was done through data triangulation. As a result of this study, there are 2 criteria that show that the training program needs improvements more on how to satisfy the participants and how to more effectively evaluate the program. To improve these aspects, anonymous evaluation to gather detailed and objective input from the participant is suggested to be done.

This study attempts to investigate the strategies to interpret Javanese cultural terms used by tourist guides at Kasunanan Palace of Surakarta. The study is intended to be a descriptive and qualitative nature. The data were collected by joining ten guided group tours in Kasunanan Palace and recording the tourist guides’ interpretation of Javanese cultural terms to tourists. To know the types of interpretation strategies, the Javanese cultural terms and their English interpretation were analyzed by Newmark’s strategies for dealing with a cultural gap (1998a). The research findings show that the strategies used by the tourist guides to interpret Javanese cultural terms from the most to the least are: (1) descriptive and functional equivalent, (2) cultural equivalent, (3) naturalization, (4)   neutralization and (5) compensation. The findings imply that the interpretation strategies used by the tourist guides are essential to obtain interpretation products that have equivalence to the Javanese cultural terms to be preserved in this millennial era.

During the pandemic situation, take interest to indirect compensation in order to maintain employee performance becomes very important while increasing direct compensation will be difficult. The purpose of this study is to find out the significance effect of indirect compensation toward employee performance based on criteria of Byars and Rue’ indirect compensation model and Sedarmayanti’s employee performance model. Mixed method is chosen in this research to study the employee perception of Daluman Vila using questionnaire with census method and elaborate it with interview result. The quantitative data is then analyzed using simple regression test, meanwhile the qualitative data is analyzed using descriptive analysis and triangulation. The result shows that employees supporting facilities in indirect compensation criteria, and initiative in employee performance, obtained lowest score. To improve these aspects, evaluation related to supporting employee facilities and designing employee performance indicator for Daluman Villa personal use are suggested to be done.

Millennial generation or generation Y is "the generation born in 1980 to 1995" (Kemenppa, 2018: 15) with an estimated age of 23 years to 38 years. Currently, the workforce almost dominated by the millennial workforce. Millennials are very familiar with the use of electronic-based information technology, so this generation is considered an asset in the company because of the ability to use information technology. The facts that are extracted from this research are regarding the ability to use technology, the ease of getting a job, the level of loyalty and mastery of competence in the field of work. The approach used is a qualitative approach to determine the assessment of millennial workforce in the hospitality sector. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the ability to use technology makes it easy for millineal workers to get new jobs with poor loyalty with good competency skills resulting in high employee turnover in companies in the field of hospitality.

Employee satisfaction level is important to be maintained at the workplace to make them performed well at the workplace. This research focuses on the level of satisfaction at Daluman Villa. The level of employee satisfaction was analyzed using Gruneberg theory as the fundamental theory in constructing this research. The data obtained were collected from the questionnaire distribution and interview. The questionnaire data obtained were tested its validity and reliability using SPSS system and Cronbach’s Alpha. The data obtained were discussed by using descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. The result from the research is most employees are satisfied with the indicators stated by Gruneberg theory. To Daluman Villa, it could be suggested that they should maintaining the good practices that have been done in order to keep the employees satisfied with their job, thus their performance and productivity would be maintained as well, or even enhanced.

SERVQUAL is one of the model that is frequently used to measure customer satisfaction regarding the service quality. This study is using 4 dimensions of SERVQUAL to measure customer satisfaction about service quality in Changi Airport public area terminal 3 Singapore. The main objective of this study is to analyze the satisfaction level of Changi Airport’s customers of service quality in the public area in Terminal 3.  In order to achieve this main objective, the following sub objectives were set namely: (1)to investigate whether there is a gap between customer expectations and customer perception of service quality in Changi Airport public area terminal 3; (2)to identify the significant factors that affecting customer expectations of service quality in Changi Airport public area terminal 3; (3)To identify the significant factors that affecting customer perception of service quality in Changi Airport Public Area terminal 3. Data was collected using survey questionnaire with Likert scale, it was analyzed using SPSS 21 using descriptive statistics, two tailed test, and faktor analysis. .The factors that have significant impact on customers’ expectations are assurance and security, comfort and convenience, safety and service, ambience and accessibility. While the customers’ perception of service quality is influenced by convenience and service, comfort, ambience and cleanliness, safety, accessibility and security factors.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mengenai bagaimana melihat permasalahan pada restoran di Kabupaten Bogor untuk mencapai suatu kepuasan pelanggan serta terciptanya suatu Customer Loyalty dilihat dari berbagai aspek yaitu, 1). Kualitas makanan, 2). Variasi makanan, 3). Variasi minuman, 4). Kualitas pelayanan, 5). Sikap dan keramahan karyawan, 6). Kualitas suasana, dan 7). Aspek Kebersihan. Komponen – komponen tersebut menjadi pembentuk kepuasan pelanggan yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Untuk itu, penelitian ini membahas tingkat pengaruh antara kualitas makanan dan dinescaspe terhadap kepuasan pelanggan Restoran di Kabupaten Bogor. Pengujuan tingkat pengaruh antar komponen tersebut mempunyai tingkat urgensi yang tinggi pada industry restoran mengingat persaingan bisnis di bidang restoran semakin kompetitif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pengalaman wisatawan di Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian terdahulu banyak yang melakukan penelitian bagaimana pengaruh makanan, layanan, dan image restaurant terhadap kepuasan seperti peneliti Kisang Ryu, Hyerin Lee, dan Woo Gon Kim (2012), Jay Kandampully, dan Hsin Hui (2007). Pada umumnya kajian – kajian tersebut belum ada yang mengkaitkan secara comprehensive sesuai tema penelitian ini. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksplanatori, yaitu penelitian yang bertujuan menganalisis hubungan-hubungan antara satu variabel dengan variabel lain atau bagaimana suatu mempengaruhi variabel lain. Penelitian ini mengambil populasi data tamu yang peneliti sebarkan kuesionernya selama 5 bulan terakhir yaitu jumlah atau dari periode bulan Agustus -Desember. Jumlah populasi pada penelitian ini berdasarkan data yang diperoleh peneliti adalah 7.954 pelanggan dengan ukuran Sample 381 memakai rumus Slovin.

Palembang is one of the cities in the province of South Sumatera, where there are numerous aspect of tourism in this city. Palembang has a fairly long river namely Musi River. Ampera Bridge as one icon of Palembang city crosses the river. There is also a tourism spot namely Sultan Mahmud Baharuddin II Museum nearby. A museum is a storage place for historical objects. Not solely for storing such objects, you can study their history and the events underlying which able to increase your knowledge. The media used in promotion during this new normal era such as today is social media, where the medium is affordable yet highly impacful. As new normal as it is today, prospective tourists would like to spend more time at home. In case if the museum carries out a promotion, the message to be conveyed is in their hands immediately; and they will find it easier to access the information if it is carried out through that way. The promotions in new normal era are carried out through hard sell messages, where the information delivery is continuing even in such period. Education and important information has become the main content in promoting the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Museum in this new normal era. This study uses the theory of social media advertising, where the promotion done in the new normal time is through instagram social media.

The city of Cirebon has a lot of potential for both tangible and intangible historical cultural heritages, so it is only right that the Cirebon city government makes all the riches of historical cultural heritage as a potential for future tourism. A comprehensive and integrated effort is needed in developing the city of Cirebon as a city for cultural tourism by involving many stakeholders, both from the government, DPRD, private sector, community and also actors of art and culture, so that Cirebon City can become a leading cultural tourism city. The large number of cultural potentials it has compared to other areas in West Java Province, makes Cirebon City has a very big opportunity to become a city for cultural tourism that is superior to others. With so many cultural heritages from various historical periods that are owned, there is no doubt that the superiority of cultural heritage values ​​in the city of Cirebon has a very high value and must be preserved and maintained as part of the effort to preserve the nation's culture. In order to further increase tourism in the city of Cirebon, contemporary tourist destinations need to be developed to serve the desires and tastes of tourists. The Karangwangi Corridor can be a strategy for developing cultural tourism that can be done. Several attempts to make it happen, such as; physical arrangement of roads that are good and beautiful, engineering traffic so they don't get jammed, arrangement of pedestrians so that pedestrians feel comfortable, arrangement of green open spaces so that the area becomes shady, arrangement of street furniture that adds to the aesthetics of the road, arrangement of city lights as lighting, arrangement billboards to be orderly and beautiful, and so on.
