Title: Merdeka Belajar on the Changes in the Form of STARS YKPN Yogyakarta in the Covid 19 Pandemic Era   Currently in all fields in the world have entered the era of revolution 4.0, with the advancement of science and technology and information technology in particular, universities are required to welcome and prepare themselves to face it. The current adjustment of the "Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka" curriculum has resulted from reviews for the curriculum, especially for the higher level of education in architecture. At the same time as the Covid 19 pandemic that hit Indonesia and affected all fields, including the world of education, especially the Sekolah Tinggi Arsitektur (STARS) YKPN Yogyakarta. STARS YKPN which is a change in the form of the Akademi Teknik (AT) YKPN, in carrying out its role as an educational institution cannot be separated from this situation. In addition to this, the existence of the Architects Law, and many new policies and regulations from the Ministry of Education and Culture, require institutions to change shape. AT YKPN which initially only had a 3 years Diploma Architectural Drawing Study Program, after the change of form to STARS YKPN, currently has 2 study programs, namely 3 years Diploma Architectural Drawing and Bachelor of Architecture. With these changes, it is necessary to change the curriculum and learning methods, both in the 3 years Diploma Architectural Drawing Study Program and the Bachelor of Architecture Study Program. This article aims to provide an overview of how various changes occur, especially the curriculum and learning methods.

Title: Improving Quality of Space with Intervention of The Installation of Used Materials in Architecture Student’s Residence, in Basic Design Studio 02 Duta Wacana Christian University   This research talks about the basic application of architectural design science with limited materials (response to the COVID-19 pandemic disaster). In this case, students are trained to see opportunities (looking for, identifying, processing, and using) used goods as design materials that can increase architectural usability. The Basic Design Studio (SPD) course builds basic skills of traditional craftsmanship, taste sensitivity, and insightful conceptual ideas. The estuary of the SPD course is to create a space installation to intervene in public spaces (physically) in people's lives with the special purpose of giving positive injections or stimulants to negative (dead) spaces so that they have attractiveness and at the same time can have a positive impact on the environment and society. The method of this research is deductive-qualitative, bringing the theory to see the case of how the intervention of negative space (dead) by SPD 02 students with the spatial installation design of used materials has an impact on people's lives. The output of this study is a standard room installation design from used materials that can improve the quality of negative space (dead) into positive space (living) in the residential and living environment around SPD 02 students, which does not rule out the possibility of being applied to a more spacious area. large.

Title: Psychological Pressure of Students While Distance Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic   This study aims to describe psychological stress, factors affecting psychological stress, and the dynamic of psychological stress of undergraduate students in long-distance learning during pandemic COVID-19. Respondents of this study are 548 undergraduate students from many universities in Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative design with qualitative content analysis. The open-ended questionnaire is used to gain the data. Results of this study are : (1) psychological stress experienced by undergraduate students are anxiety, panic, feeling overwhelmed, bored, lonely, not confidence and have an impact on decreasing motivation to learn; (2) undergraduate students psychological stress is affected by some factors, namely students and lecturer input, learning atmosphere, socialization need, facilities of long-distance learning, and financial support; (3) the dynamics of psychological stress can be explained as follows: the factor that directly affects psychological stress is the low of self-efficacy that is triggered by learning delivery and learning evaluation disorganized. This condition arises due to a combination of competency factors and lecturers' work ethic, academic competence, and student soft skills, as well as inadequate distance learning facilities.

Title: Architect Practice in Search of Balance in New Norm   Epidemic Covid 19 enforce us to retrospect our everdayness living, including how architects do for living and for the architectural practice. These condition makes some re- adjustement in architectural  program, in some level must renovate totally. The biggest problem in architect profession is the project coordination, because social distancing and large number of meeting member must reduced to minimal level. This condition pushs architects to review their working process in studio and on the projects field. Physical studio is no longer a good place to collaborate and must transform into the digital studio. Digital system become a bridge to connect between stakeholders and the architects. Digital tools and method becoming an extention tools for our eyes and sense. Digital methods and practices suddenly become a daily activities for every level in architecture firms, such as Big Data. The colabortive works in digital format become important, one of them is Building Information Modelling, works as collabortive tools in virtual digital studio. The coding and the scripting are the next language for architect must learn, beside the architecture itself. Within the epidemic, disruption of profession is not a discourse anymore, but a fact that must commenced. Creativity and colaborative is the survival tools in today harsh life .

Title: Freedom of Learning in Architecture Education   The Covid-19 pandemic has led to various efforts, namely, an appeal for all activities in all sectors, from the economy, education, entertainment, and others to be restricted, especially in the education sector to reduce the transmission of Covid-19. All educational activities, academic activities that are usually carried out on campus, namely face to face, must be done and done from home. All academic elements, especially education at the campus level, not only students, lecturers, and education personnel must also carry out activities from home to prevent and reduce the Covid-19 outbreak. Policies by looking at the pandemic phenomenon that has resulted in forcing the education sector to change work patterns and the teaching and learning process must make breakthroughs or innovations that were initially conventional. Using a breakthrough which is an independent effort to keep it going according to the tri dharma of education in learning, especially in the field of architecture. This article was conducted with a descriptive exploratory research method to explain the phenomenon of independent learning architecture education.

Title: Seeking Appropriate Approach for Urban Design Learning under the New Normal Condition   Basically, it is urgently needed to build appropriate learning methods in the current pandemic condition, where the teaching and learning process at various levels of education demands a major change from what originally took place face-to-face in educational institution classrooms to turning into screen-to-screen in the personal spaces of individual respective environments. This should not be as simple as simply transferring class material onto a computer screen, but more than that, how the pedagogical aspects of each discipline must be fulfilled, how learning competencies can be fulfilled equivalent to learning under normal conditions. Design learning basically cannot be separated from learning the process of designing in a studio, where pedagogically integrates a learner-centered approach, methods of interaction between learners, and the studio as a physical and social space that forms an atmosphere that triggers creativity. Likewise in urban design learning is based on not only a theoretical component but also an empirical component. This study aims to develop content and learning methods for urban design, that cannot be separated from its pedagogical aspects, as a form of adaptation of urban design learning norms during the pandemic period and their potential as an alternative learning method in the future.

Title: Creativity with Tradition and Innovation in Architectural Education   Our undergraduate architecture education is generally oriented towards professional education and not academic education. This professional education originated from the tradition of workshops and skills, in addition to being heavily influenced by the world of art and culture. Therefore, many are characterized by the existence of trial and error caused because the problem is wicked rather than tame. Professional education with a touch of art that is wild will really need a very close interaction between the master and apprentice. Because of this system, the transfer of skills and knowledge will move effectively. The quality of the design can basically be improved by studying precedents (architectural works that already exist and are considered successful) and a further understanding of the principles underlying the architectural work (principles, ideas about aspects that make architectural works successful). Regarding the implications of use and image for the architectural work). Like other creative artists, architects use some strategies that they are accustomed to from time to time. They learn through experience, absorbing lessons from each design case so that later works will be influenced by previous works. Redrawing and imitating the master's work consciously is an important step here. After observing and imitating, it is hoped that the beginner can consciously discover the principles that underlie the work of the expert. In the end, it is hoped that the beginner will someday be able to work with a strategy that is more in line with his abilities and wishes. Now, our challenge is how these things can be done well, while the interaction of lecturers and students, apprentices and apprentices, is limited due to the pandemic.

COVID-19 outbreak has set the beginning of new normal in many parts of the world. The impact of COVID-19 was recognized in all sectors, including higher education. Many new ways of teaching and learning are taking place. Despite lockdowns and social distancing that transformed on-site classrooms to online classrooms, architecture design studio programs should also adapt and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as contribute to society by taking the real-world projects. The architectural program of the Department of Building Innovation, Faculty of Architecture, Kasetsart University in Bangkok took the initiative in designing studio project programs to acknowledge the new normal. The programs were assigned to 2nd-year Sustainable Architecture Design Studio during the 1st semester (July-November) of the academic year 2020. Physical distancing, passive design, especially ventilation strategies, were the focus. Means to prove design performance include calculation and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods. The paper shows results of the post-COVID-19 eco canteen and 50-bed hospital design programs.

Title: Adaptive Innovation of Architecture Learning in New Normal   The current conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic have brought many changes in the order of our society, including changes in the learning system. The lecturer is expected to adjust learning, starting from the process, curriculum, and even the output. Architecture Study Program in Santo Thomas Catholic University was established approximately thirty-six years ago. Over the last few years, the study program's condition has decreased from several aspects, including a drastic decrease in the number of students. The Covid-19 pandemic condition has made things worse, and adaptive innovations are needed that can be applied in this new normal situation. There are many obstacles during this pandemic. In this new condition, the creativity of lecturers is demanded even more. Variations in media, teaching methods, and teaching materials are aligned with the characteristics of students who are 'z' generations. One of the innovations that are being carried out is curriculum relaxation, in which some courses revise the output of lectures into simpler objects but still fulfill basic competencies.

Title: Adjustments of Project Handling and Architecture Design Method at Pandemic Time: Case Studies:  Painter House and Villa Nabu Projects by Bale Design   Architects have methods in project handling and architecture design. Physical interaction is an important part of the method, between architect and his client or his design or construction team. The pandemic has changed the design and construction process, because of the limitation of physical interaction between parties on a project. Physical interaction has been replaced with online interaction. The writer doing case studies to project handling of ongoing works, Painter House in Bali and Villa Nabu in Lombok. The architect has adjusted the method of the design process and design approach. Architect feels benefits from online interactions, like some technical practicalities in communication to many parties on the project. But architect also feels the downside of online interaction like the decreasing of psychological quality in communication, especially in convincing people because of the decreasing persuasive personal approaches which usually built from analyzing facial and body gestures in the physical interaction. The architect profession is much related to services, which needs to convinced many parties on the project. Architect has tried to improve the lack of psychological quality in online communication by increasing the number of online interactions, while also limiting the content of the communication and allowing enough time lags for other parties to be able to absorb the given information properly before responding back to it. Other factors also have increased the complexity of communication, like the position of the clients in foreign countries, the location of the project on a different island from the architect, the location of the developer on a different island from the architect, and the early phase of the projects where architect need to work in collaboration with a foreign architect on another country.
