History revealed that Islamic education in Indonesia has its characteristics and plays a vital role in advancing Islamic culture in Indonesia. This study used a library research method that relies on sources from books and articles in scientific journals. The results showed that after the proclamation, there are four types of Islamic education in Indonesia, i.e., Madrasah, Islamic boarding schools, Public Schools, and Islamic schools. The development of Islamic in Indonesia as a revival, renewal, and enlightenment. The Islamic education system that existed at that time had developed as an effort of implementing Islamic law, so it guarantees and opportunities to continue to exist and develop.

This study aimed to determine the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving students' religious understanding at SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan. The approach in this study was a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were data reduction, data presentation, and data verification while checking the validity of the data was expanded participation, observing accuracy, triangulation, and expert consultation. The results showed that teachers had implemented well except for the lack of infrastructure and learning time in optimizing students' religious understanding. Based on this research, the practical implications were used as material to assist teachers in optimizing and new knowledge for teachers so that teachers can improve students' religious understanding.

The success of children's education is the success of a nation. Teachers must understand the psychology of learning so that education can play a role and influence children. This research was descriptive in the form of library research which was formulated through deductive analysis. Research on children's education with a psychological perspective needs to be carried out to determine the acceptance of children to the environment (family, school, and surroundings) in providing valuable education for children in line with their psychological development, and they can undergo the learning process through a conducive environment.

One of the efforts to study the contents of the Qur'an is Semaan tradition. This study used a qualitative approach, the subjects were Kyai, the teachers, the administrators, and the students of the Ibrohimiyyah Mranggen Islamic boarding school. The school has a lot of students ranging in age 6 to 12 years. Primary data sources were obtained directly from the field through observation and interviews, while the secondary sources were obtained from the documents. The results showed that the Semaan activities were carried out under planning, implementation, and evaluation. That was always conducted in teaching the Al-Quran to students.

Mudarasah is peer listening of Al-Quran memorization to other people in turn and at the group perverse or several verses as settled by the teacher. This method is one of the efforts to always maintain memorization for a hafiz. "Al-Quran is sacred, whoever keeps it will be sacred", that was the message of the teachers to their students. The awareness of a hafiz to always Murajaah, fix, and maintain his memorization becomes an obligation.

In education, an exemplary and character teacher at school has a real impact on the child's personality in the future. Character building is a collective commitment of the Indonesian people to face today's global demands. The implementation of character education is a way to build a more moral education. The purpose of writing this article was to describe and analyze the exemplary teachers in implementing character education. This article had analyzed and reviewed the works of literature that were related to the topic. The model used was a library research approach. The results examined that the implementation of character education in schools is the responsibility of all school members. However, teachers play a more important role in achieving the program, the success of character education in schools depends on the extent to which the teachers can be a model for their students. Creating a character student will need a character teacher as well.

The purpose of the study was to obtain information about the effect of distance learning on students' self-concept and self-efficacy in Islamic Religious subjects at the junior high schools in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research was field research by a mixed-method approach. The informants and sample in this study were 60 students and three teachers. The data collection techniques using interviews, questionnaires and analyzed using validity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed there was an effect of distance learning on students' self-concept by R square 0.083. There was an effect of distance learning on students' self-concept and self-efficacy in hypothesis 1 by R Square of 0.083, while hypothesis 2 scored R Square of 0.175.

Creativity is a key oriented towards the effectiveness of the learning process carried out by the teacher in achieving learning and educational goals. This study aims to reveal the teachers' creativity in the learning process. Teacher's creativity is the skills to have such as skills in making teaching materials, carrying out learning in class properly, learning methods that are relevant to the material, appropriate learning media, quality learning resources related to the discussion, etc. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive approach, and the research subjects are teachers in schools who expected to have creativity in the form of quality skills.

This study aimed to determine the role of teachers in the implementation of counseling guidance. The teachers' role in the implementation of counseling must able to involve parties in schools such as students, subject teachers, school principals, and parents so that the counseling program can be carried out properly because there are few things or problems that often arise during the school day. The role of the teacher in this study is the role of a guider, counselor, informant, facilitator, mediator, collaborator, organizer, motivator, director, initiator, transmitter, and evaluator in achieving educational success. This type of research is library research, the method used is qualitative descriptive, Data were analyzed narratively. The result showed that teachers carried out their roles by implementing a continuous process, voluntary nuances, guiding principles for both male and female students, implementing Eastern culture, and implementing effective and efficient implementation.

Self-Regulated Learner is a student who can stand alone, not dependent on others. His or her behavior and attitude do not come in sudden but through a process since their childhood. Among individuals are different because of many factors. Factors that greatly influence student's self-regulated attitude categories into two factors from internal and external. Internal factors, namely, physiological factors; including the physical condition of students, healthy or unhealthy, and psychological factors; including talents, interests, attitudes, motivation, intelligence, and others. Meanwhile, external factors; including family, school, and society. This study discussed how good student self-regulated learning, its characteristics, its benefits, and its process.
