The high degree of land use in the Republic of Moldova as a whole, and the Cogâlnic river basin in particular, imposes the need to assess the quality of the environment and the characteristics of the anthropogenic pressure on the landscapes in temporal and spatial dynamics and to identifying an adequate of measure system for the purpose to maintain/restore the optimal structure and functioning of landscape systems. Based from the Land Cadastre on data, statistical data of population censuses, bibliographic and cartographic sources, a system, was appraised a system of indicators(of naturalness, of artificialization of landscapes, environmental changes) and quantified human pressure on the environment through agriculture and anthropogenic pressure on forest landscapes from the Cogâlnic catchment area. The values of the indices and the human pressure on the landscapes were processed using GIS techniques and elaborated cartographic models.

The land use has undergone some changes in the last 30 years, by reducing the areas with arable land, converting multi-annual plantations into other categories of land, etc. According to the current mode of land use, the Northern Development Region has a pronounced agricultural profile - 80.3% of the total area represents agricultural land. The spatial differentiations regarding the morphological and agro-climatic conditions allowed the identification within the region of areas with agro-forestry and agro-pastoral specializations.

Analysis of the determinants of life expectancy at birth evolution in Romania (1990-2018). For Romania, the year 1990 constituted a turning point in the evolution of one of the most illustrative indicators of quality of life: life expectancy at birth. From the stagnation that characterized the last part of the communist period, in the first phase, the deterioration of living conditions, transposed in the decline of this indicator, especially in the rural environment and for the male gender. Starting with 2000, however, there is a continuous recovery, an expression of the improvement of the standard of living but also of some behavioral changes. In this context we can legitimately ask ourselves what were the determining factors of this evolution and to what extent each one intervened. The identification in the specialized literature of a number of 8 factors and the creation of a related database allowed, through linear regression and multiple regression, to establish a possible answer. The evolution of life expectancy at birth in territorial profile and its correlation with the distribution of the main causes of death were analyzed. It was observed the persistence of regional disparities but also the change of the weight of some explanatory factors. These developments can be accounted for by the unequal adaptation to the new context imposed by the transition to the market economy, especially benefiting the cities with a strong medical infrastructure.

Dynamics of growths in the height and after the diameter of the seedlings, of acacia, elm and ash, had investigated on the freshly formed sterile dump limestone quarry „Lafarge Ciment”. In the first year after planting, the young seedlings, had an increase in height and in diameter slow and uneven. In the years that followed, the seedlings became more viable and less influenced by local and temporal fluctuations of environmental factors. The offspring of the woody species had a sufficiently high (78.8-99.5%).

The dynamics of waste generation (according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, period 2013 - 2018) was evaluated which showed that 41% in the Northern Development Region, the Center Development Region -36% and the South Development Region - 23% from the total amount of waste per republic). According to the Inspectorate of Environmental Protection, on the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment of the Republic of Moldova during the year 2018, 1,339 municipal landfills were exploited, occupying a total area of 1224 ha. It has been shown that the Republic of Moldova has the legal and normative framework harmonized in the European Union, necessary to ensure the implementation of waste management. For the implementation of a WM, it is necessary to definitively create the infrastructure throughout the territory of the Republic according to the provisions of the Waste Management Strategy, an important element of which is the strict management record: generation, collection, transport, storage, neutralization and capitalization of the quantities of waste.

Along with the positive parts of the Moldovan climate - the warm period of the year, the mild winter, the abundance of light and heat - there are also some negative traits such as the high variability of the weather. The sudden changes in weather caused by the strong variation in the values of the main meteorological elements such as air temperature, precipitation, relative air humidity, nebulosity, and especially atmospheric pressure, adversely affect the health of a large number of people. When the body is virtually forced to suddenly pass from a temperature above 35°C to less than 17°C, it is instantly weakened. The immune system weakens and the body becomes vulnerable to viral infections. At the same time, the presence of nasal polyps, allergies, which affect the nasal mucosa and prolonged stress, increase the risk of developing viral infectionsThere are many people who accuse a state of acute fatigue, physical and mental asthenia, a state of continuous drowsiness and even depression, although they are properly resting.

The demographic situation in the Republic of Moldova during the years of state independence has changed considerably in the sense of its aggravation to the socio-demographic indicators. The economic transition also had negative consequences on the demographic evolution. The geodemographic trends are similar to the states in the region and have negative or positive values for most demographic indicators attesting to demographic insecurity.

The population is the basic criterion of the territorial-administrative structuring of the country, and the demographic evolution is contrary. Demographic inequalities create disproportionality, consumption of economic resources. The districts are administrative units of the Soviet bill can no longer be considered engines of territorial development. The reform requires complex criteria to ensure sustainable functionality in the context of EU accession.
