Factor analysis is the basic tool when conducting a comprehensive analysis of economic activity. In the factor analysis, the major attention is given to the research of internal reasons that form the specificity of the phenomenon under study and identification of generalized factors standing behind relevant specific indicators. The article deals with the analysis of the science intensity of the invested capital in the Baikal region of the Russian Federation. Science intensity is an important parameter for determining the efficiency of the economic activity. The author introduced into scientific circulation the following indicators: the science intensity of the invested capital, the science intensity of the gross regional product and the investment return of the gross regional product. The paper reveals the influence of factors affecting the change in the science intensity of the invested capital in the Baikal region of the Russian Federation, and provides methodological approaches to its calculation. The article presents the author’s analytical and systematized statistical material for the analysis of the key indicators revealing the impact of the invested capital in the Baikal region of the Russian Federation on the change of the science intensity. The research has been carried out in the framework of the scientific project of the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences No. XI.174.1.4 “Activation of the internal development potential of regions of the resource specialization (on the example of the Baikal region)”.

The article discusses factor analysis of a financial condition of the enterprise is carried out and the general estimation of efficiency of its economic and economic activity is carried out. A general assessment of the efficiency of economic and economic “Kozyatyn Meat Factory” was made, namely the dynamics of profit, cost, net income and net financial result for the period 2017-2019 were monitored. An analysis of changes in return on assets, equity and fixed capital, current liquidity ratios, solvency, financial debt and independence of the enterprise is also presented. The analysis made it possible to conclude on the current financial condition of the enterprise, as well as to determine the main factors that will determine the further strategy of its development. Also in addition, it is established that the definition of the financial strategy of the enterprise can be based only on the analysis of its economic activity, in particular a system of indicators that will establish the current situation of the main financial indicators of “Kozyatyn Meat Plant”, their dynamics for a certain period. In connection with the specifics of the enterprise, we believe that the main indicators that determine the further financial strategy of its development are indicators of the company's profit, as well as indicators of its sales within the industry and market. To this end, a factor analysis of the company's profit from the main factors of sales of its products; analysis of indicators of efficiency of use of fixed assets; analyze the dynamics of production of marketable products of the enterprise within the industry. According to the results of the analysis, it is established that today the company uses a financial strategy that can ensure the adaptation of the enterprise to environmental conditions, reduces the risks of work - that is, the stabilization strategy. In this regard, the next step for the company is to focus its efforts on expanding its market position, is a promising area to choose a financial development strategy that will increase the efficiency of the company - its financial results.

This paper describes the development of an instrument to assess the mathematical competencies of children entering school. The resulting instrument (200 items, to be administered in 2 parts) contains 7 subscales: (1) geometry, (2) measurement, (3) money, (4) numbers, (5) pattern identification, (6) recall, and (7) vocabulary. Exemplary items for each of the subtests are presented. Preliminary analyses of data collected on 727 entering kindergarteners provided reliability estimates for classes from .91 to .94 on Part I and from .83 to .87 for Part II. The results of the intercorrelations among the subtests together with a factor analysis suggest the subtests are heavily loaded with a common factor which might be labeled numerosity.

This paper explores some of the key regional characteristics of the formation of market relationships that influence the overall economic situation in the country. The author examines regional units characterized by there being latent sources of cumulative growth within a multilevel stratified unit that incorporates a group of business entities engaged in a homogeneous type of economic activity which may initiate a multiplicative effect based on the capacity for systemic or developmental innovations, as well as a group of business entities associated with a propulsive sector through the “input/output” relationship, which ensures the translation of a multiplicative effect in the direction from higher territorial establishments to lower ones. The paper discusses the activity of key organizations within a recipient region with a view to identifying potential growth areas that could become the basis for the development of import substitution at the mesolevel, which are engaged in activity within the framework of traditional spheres of economic activity.

The article presents the author's opinion on the problem of non-payment, which is the main guarantee of small business. When there are receivables, there are also issues with accounts payable, as most companies do not have a planned profit for the goods, works, services provided. The purpose of the article is to identify current problems of accounting and auditing of receivables and payables, which require their practical solution. The object of the study is the receivables and payables, which were formed as a result of economic activity of the enterprise, its analysis and proposed ways to improve. The methods used in the study. The methodological basis of the study were the methods and principles of debt recognition, general and factor analysis of receivables and payables. The hypothesis of the study is the trend impact of receivables and payables on the financial condition and solvency of the enterprise. Presenting main material. Recommendations for improving the financial condition of the enterprise, for accounting and auditing of receivables and payables are offered. Originality and practical significance of the research. The study identified the need to improve the situation at the enterprise by implementing a number of measures aimed at eliminating problems with the payment of debtors who owed certain amounts of money, namely to provide discounts for early payment for products, goods, works, services, limit receivables -prepared for each debtor and maintaining a certain analytical document on creditors' relations in terms of each creditor. Conclusions. The study proves that the proposed methods of improvement are a factor that will reduce the level of receivables and payables. Based on the fact that the debtor's debt will not just decrease, but will bring some income.

This study presents an empirical validation of a scale designed to measure the territorial factors which contribute to the internationalisation of tourism destinations. It is part of a broader investigation in which the dimensions and factors of tourism destinations’ internationalisation were identified, strengthening a systemic perspective of tourism: ‘territory’, ‘product’, ‘governance’ and ‘DMOs’. Here we present the psychometric properties of the items that operationalise the 'territorial' dimension. The questionnaire was administered to 470 Portuguese DMO with responsibilities in the areas of tourism and local or regional development. The scale items were submitted to content, reliability and construct validations through exploratory (principal component analysis) and confirmatory factor analysis (first and second-order factor structures). The data sustain a factor structure composed of the factors ‘resources’, ‘economic activity’, and ‘borders’. The relationship between political options of destinations’ internationalisation and territories’ geographical, cultural and economic characteristics were determined. This relationship forms the foundation of tourism in times of crisis, such as we are currently experiencing.

The application mode of army mobile communication networks is closely related to combat mission and application environment. Different combat missions and application environments result in different network structures and different service priorities, which requires a semi-automatic system to support the network scheme design. Therefore, evaluating the efficiency of network schemes generated by automatic planning is a problem that needs to be urgently addressed. In the past, researchers have proposed a variety of methods to evaluate the effectiveness of mobile communication systems, most of which are based on simulation methods and ignore the historical data of network usage. This paper studies an effectiveness evaluation method of mobile communication network design schemes and proposes a design scheme for the evaluation and optimization of network plans. Furthermore, the improved method of effectiveness evaluation based on factor analysis is discussed in detail. The method not only effectively uses historical data but also reduces the amount of data collection and calculation. In order to adapt to the preference requirements of different task scenarios, a decision preference setting method based on cluster analysis is proposed, which can render the output optimization result more reasonable and feasible.
