The Flipped Learning Model in General Science: Effects on Students’ Learning Outcomes and Affective Dimensions

Abstract This study aims to determine: (1) student learning outcomes for DLDE subjects using the Flipped Classroom learning model (2) student learning outcomes for DLDE subjects using the Expository learning model (3) DLDE learning outcomes for students taught with the Flipped learning model. Classroom is higher than students who are taught using the expository learning model. The population in this study were 108 people. From the data obtained after the research, it was found that (1) student learning outcomes were much higher in the experimental class (classes taught using the Flipped Classroom learning model) which had an average of 85.93. (2) student learning outcomes in the control class (classes taught using the expository learning model) have an average of 73.55. (3) student learning outcomes are better (higher) using the Flipped Classroom learning model compared to the expository learning model. Keywords: Flipped Classroom, Expository, DLDE Learning Outcomes AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) hasil belajar siswa terhadap mata pelajaran DLDE dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom (2) hasil belajar siswa terhadap mata pelajaran DLDE dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Ekspositori (3) hasil belajar DLDE siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 108 orang. Dari data yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan penelitian, diperoleh bahwa (1) hasil belajar siswa jauh lebih tinggi dikelas ekperimen (kelas yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom)  yang memiliki rata-rata 85.93. (2) hasil belajar siswa dikelas kontrol (kelas yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori) memiliki rata-rata 73.55. (3) hasil belajar siswa lebih baik (lebih tinggi) menggunakan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Kata Kunci: Flipped Classroom, Ekspositori, Hasil Belajar DLDE

This study aims to reveal the effect of applying the learning model and learning motivation on student learning outcomes. This type of research used a quantitative approach, especially quasi-experiments. Population in this study all students of class XI 2 Painan. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 63 students. Data analysis techniques used questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Differences in learning outcomes obtained between students who have high learning motivation in class who apply the flipped learning model (2) Differences in learning outcomes obtained between students who have low learning motivation in the class applying conventional models (3) Differences learning outcomes obtained between students who have high learning motivation in the class implementing the flipped learning model and students who have high learning motivation in the class applying conventional models (4) Differences learning outcomes obtained between students who have low learning motivation in the class implementing the flipped learning model and students who have low learning motivation in the class applying conventional models (5) There is no interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing learning outcomes.Keywords : flipped learning model, learning motivation, learning outcomes

The purpose of this study was to increase the learning outcomes of IPA in the Ecosystem Balance mate-rial through the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model for class VI students of SD Negeri 1 Manggeng for the 2017/2018 academic year. The research methodology is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of two findings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The data collection technique is to collect test scores that are carried out at the end of each lesson in each cycle using a question in-strument (written test). The learning outcome data were analyzed by means of percentage statistics. The results showed that the completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 66,67% in the first cycle and increased to 83,33% in the second cycle. The application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model can increase the learning outcomes of IPA in the Ecosystem Balance material of class VI SD Negeri 1 Manggeng for the 2017/2018 academic year

he purpose of this study was to improve science learning outcomes on the structure and function of plant networks in class VIII students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar in the 2017/2018 academic year. The learning model used in this study is the Mind Mapping Learning Model. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII MTsN 2 Aceh Besar with a total of 33 students consisting of 13 male students and 20 fe-male students. This research was conducted in the 2017/2018 Academic Year within a period of 3 months, namely from August 2017 to October 2017 in Odd Semester. The research methodology is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research procedure con-sisted of pre-research, planning cycle one, implementing action cycle one, observing cycle one, reflect-ing cycle one, planning cycle two, implementing action cycle two, observing cycle two and reflecting cycle two. The data collection technique is to collect test scores that are carried out at the end of each lesson in each cycle using a question instrument (written test). Observation data was carried out by look-ing at the activeness of teachers and students during the learning process. The learning outcome data were analyzed by means of percentage statistics, while the observation data were analyzed by means of a Likert scale. The results showed that there was an increase in the completeness of student learning outcomes from 39.39% in the pre-cycle increased to 60.60% in Cycle I and increased to 87.87% in Cy-cle II. Observation of teacher activity during PBM has increased from a total score of 88 good categories in Cycle I, increasing to a total score of 93 good categories in Cycle II. The application of the Mind Mapping learning model can improve science learning outcomes on the structure and function of plant tissue for class VIII students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar for the 2017/2018 academic year.

This study aims to know the influence of active learning model Course Review Horay to biology learning outcomes at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam academic year 2013/2014. This research design is  randomized experiment using posttest only control-group design. The study population is all the eighth grade students of  SMP Negeri 10 Batam with reached population consist of 7 classes. The sampling technique using a simple random sampling. Samples were selected class VIII5 as control class and VIII8 as experiment class. The instrument  that use in this research is the form of the test. Requirement have been in the form of normality and homogeneity test, which showed that normal and homogeneous data. Technique of data analysis conducted by the t test. The result analysis of data using the t test showed the tvalue 3.01 and ttable is 2.00 (tvalue > ttable). The results showed that the active learning result model Course Review Horay give effect to increase student learning outcomes from the average of the experimental class 82,57 and control class 76,04. Thus, the hypothesis put forward acceptable significance level (α = 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the using of active learning model Course Review Horay influential on learning outcomes of biology at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam. Keywords: Course Review Horay, Biology Learning Outcomes.

This study aims to describe learning outcomes through the application of PAKEM learning model. The subjects of the study were the students of grade IVb SD Negeri 013 Mekarsari. Improvement of learning outcomes in terms of four categories, namely the ability to absorb, the effectiveness of learning, mastery of student learning both mastery of individual and classical completeness and mastery of learning outcomes. Instruments used for data collection are oral tests and written tests in the form of LKS conducted after the learning process. The results showed that the percentage of student completeness increased from 19.40% to 55.40% categorized well, the effectiveness of learning is categorized very effective with an average of 88.46%. While the completeness of student learning outcomes expressed. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of PAKEM learning model can improve learning outcomes on the material of the students of class IV B grade SD Negeri 013 Mekarsari.

In the background backs Indonesian learning results obtained by the students is very low because the method of learning that are not relevant. Classroom action research aims to determine the implementation of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) to improve learning outcomes Indonesian grade IV A SD Negeri 78 Pekanbaru on instructional materials do. The experiment was conducted in two cycles each cycle two meetings and one daily tests. Each cycle stages are: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data from the activity of teachers and students in the can from the observation sheet, while, learning outcomes in getting the daily test results. The results showed the activities of teachers and students has increased, in the first cycle of meetings I obtained a score of 33 (68.75%), in the first cycle of meetings II obtained a score of 38 (79.17%), the second cycle of meetings I obtained a score of 40 (83 , 33%), and the second cycle II meeting obtained a score of 44 (91.67%). And in the first cycle of the first meeting of student activity data obtained a score of 27 (56.25%), in the first cycle II meeting increased with the acquisition of a score of 36 (75.00%), and the second cycle first meeting increased to 41 (85.42 %), the second cycle II meeting increased to 45 (93.75%). Learning outcomes of students has increased, this is evidenced by: the preliminary data the number of students who reach KKM amounted to 10 students (28.57%) with an average of learning outcomes at 65.37. Increased in the first cycle by the number of students who completed totaling 26 students (74.28%) with an average of learning outcomes at 76.00. And the second cycle increases with the number of students 32 students (91.42%) with an average of learning outcomes at 86.86. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model NHT can improve learning outcomes Indonesian grade IV A SD Negeri 78 Pekanbaru.

The objectives of this research were to determine: 1) Students’ learning activities in social studies after using Question Student Have (QSH) in Cooperative Learning Model, 2) Students’ learning outcomes in social studies after using Question Student Have (QSH) in Cooperative Learning Model. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with Stephen Kemmis and Mc. Taggart Model which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This study was conducted by the researcher in two cycles. Instruments used in this research are observational sheet, interview, and test in the last cycle. From the analysis of the data, the researcher found that there is an improvement in students’ learning outcomes. On the basic value, there was only 43,33% students who achieve the learning mastery. In the first cycle, the students who achieve the learning mastery were increased, it was about 30% from the basic value, it reached 73,33%. On the second cycle, the student who achieve the learning mastery were increased about 26,70% from the first cycle, become 100%. The same thing also happened to the students' learning activities. In the first cycle, students’ learning activities is 71,42% and on the second cycle, students’ learning activities were incrased about 21,43% from the first cycle, become 92,85%. Based on the analysis of data of this study it can be concluded that the use of Question Student Have (QSH) in Cooperative Learning Model can improve students’ learning outcomes and learning activities fourth grade students of SDN Saga V in social studies.Keywords: social studies learning outcomes, cooperative learning QSH type.

This research was motivated by lack of civics student learning outcomes. Low learningoutcomes are caused by: (a) students do not really follow civics and they talk to each othersawaktu teacher explains the lesson; (B) students are not active in learning; (C) if the teacherasking questions, very few students who answered; and (d) very few students were askedabout the learning that has not been understood, in addition to the learning activities in theclassroom dominated by teachers and children are much more powerful. This study aims toimprove learning outcomes civics through cooperative learning model NHT. This study is aclass action, which was conducted in 018 primary schools Ukui 1 Subdistrict Ukui. This studyfocused on students' learning outcomes data civics. Based on the results of the study revealedthat the civic education learning outcomes of students has increased. This is evidenced by:Improved student learning outcomes at the preliminary data the number of students who passare 15 students (50%), increasing in the first cycle increased to 26 students (87%) and incycle II further increased up to 27 students (90 %).
