The article contains the method of discrete scanning points in the vertical plane of the columns and roof trusses for the simultaneous determination of vertical columns, the distance between them in flight at their tip and deflection farms with one point standing and only one performer. The technique is based on the use of reflectorless electronic tachymeter and its SDh key. Experimental research of methods on the elements of building structures NNGASU educational housing using electronic tachymeter SET530R. Results of the experiments were monitored by a coordinate and photographic methods, as well as with the developed at the chair of Engineering Geodesy laser-mirroring device designed to measure inaccessible or hard to reach distances. Analysis methods of error theory position and the results of its comparison with other methods have shown that it provides the required accuracy, easy to perform, does not require the output of the observer on the crane path or lift to the towers, free from the multiple engagement of the bridge crane and can be successfully applied on practice.

The calculation, modeling and experimental research of steel-concrete tubular elements made of thin-walled galvanized sheet metal and lightweight concrete have been carried out. The proposed type of structures can be used as a separate structure in the form of a column or a pillar, and one of the types of the reinforcement of a certain light structure. The basic technological and constructive requirements for manufacturing and further exploitation of structures are given. For determination of actual work’s indexes of constructions experimental research of standards are undertaken, and recommendations on adjustment of well-known calculation formulas of close constructions as for structural parameters are given. The design (modeling) was performed in MSC / Nastran software. An analysis of the proposed structures use is carried out with the corresponding conclusions.

The presented paper deals with the stochastic analysis of the ultimate limit states of steel‐concrete building members. The load carrying capacity of steel‐concrete columns, comprising of steel profiles encased in high strength concrete, in compression is analyzed. The first part of the paper lists assumptions for the determination of the theoretical load carrying capacity of the column. Principles of elasticity and plasticity are used to determine stresses in the concrete and steel sections. Statistical characteristics of input material and geometrical imperfections are listed. Results of the theoretical analysis are then compared with results of experimental research. Statistical characteristics of obtained results of the theoretical analysis were verified using statistical characteristics obtained from experimental research. Numerical simulation LHS and Monte Carlo methods, which take into account the influences of variability of input imperfections, were employed. The influence of the utilization of the plastic reserve in the determination of the load carrying capacity of the analysed strut is shown. The influence of the initial geometric imperfections of initial strut curvature on the load carrying capacity is also presented. Pirmoje straipsnio dalyje išvardytos kolonos teorines laikomosios galios nustatymo prielaidos. Tamprumo ir plastiškumo principai taikyti itempiams betono ir plieno skerspjūviuose nustatyti. Nustatytos medžiagu ir geometriniu defektu statistines charakteristikos, teorines analizes rezultatai palyginti su eksperimentiniu tyrimu rezultatais. Teorines analizes metu gautu rezultatu statistines charakteristikos patikrintos taikant iš eksperimentiniu tyrimu gautus statistinius rodiklius. Pritaikytas skaitinis modeliavimas LHS ir Monte Karlo metodais, kurie ivertina pradiniu defektu kintamumo itaka. Parodyta plastiškumo atsargos naudojimo itaka, nustatant analizuojamojo statramsčio laikomaja galia, pateikta pradinio statramsčio išlinkio pirminiu geometriniu defektu itaka laikomajai galiai.

The amount of electronic waste is growing annually all over the world, today it is almost 45 million tons. Less than 20% of electronic waste is being decontaminated and recycled. The rest is being taken to landfills or to places which are not supposed to store hazardous waste. This increases the adverse impact on the environment due to the fact that the waste consists of over 50% of hazardous components. At the same time, it also contains rare and expensive metals including indium. To extract indium from electronic waste it is necessary to justify the method of leaching. For this purpose research on leaching of indium from mobile phone screens has been done using various acids and parameters of the leaching process. As a result of the analysis, 6 methodologies were tested with various acid concentrations, the contact time of solid matter with a chemical reagent and temperature. The results of experimental research on the determination of metal concentration in mobile phone screens and the analysis of methods on indium leaching from mobile phone screens into a solution for further research are presented.

Several masonry panels are studied by means of destructive tests such as compressive, diagonal compression and shear-compression tests. The experimental research allows to characterize the mechanical properties of masonry walls in order to assess the masonry performance. Moreover, a brief recall of the most important experimental progress is presented in order to understand the state of the art of the research in the field of destructive tests.

The article examines methodical issues of selection of heat insulation materials, their properties affecting energy efficiency, as well as methodical issues of experimental determination of heat insulation properties of the car body. This issue has become recently relevant due to the increased requirements to saving of the fuel and energy resources and to improvement of the passenger travel comfort. Domestic and international regulatory documents are analyzed from this perspective.Contemporary materials used for heat insulation of the car body, methods of determination of the average heat transfer coefficient and requirements to such materials are examined. Review of the test results of the most widely spread passenger cars; the issue is arisen regarding necessity of putting the obtained results of experimental research in compliance with the actual operating conditions with regard to the changes of temperature, air humidity and car movement speed.The article examines in details disadvantages of the currently used standardized method of determination of the average heat transfer coefficient. The issues affecting accuracy of determination of this parameter are underlined, which occur in the experimental research and in processing of the obtained results. Practical use of obtained results for designing of new rolling stock is examined.Ultimately, the authors conclude that the valid domestic standardized method of determination of the average heat transfer coefficient does not take into account the number of important conditions. Examination of effect of these conditions on the results of experimental research allows the authors to make conclusion regarding necessity of review of methodical and regulatory and technical documentation for the test methods.

Determination of creep strain arising due to stresses acting up to the moment of time t is considered. The phenomenon of constant-stress creep is described. A method is proposed to determine the parameters of the Arutyunyan creep kernel selected to describe the behavior of a material using two creep curves of a material with viscoelastic properties and nonlinear dependence of creep strain on the stress. In addition, the constant in the expression describing nonlinear dependence of creep strain on the stress is defined. The AMg6M alloy, widely used in the design of aerospace products, was chosen as the material to be analyzed. The tests were carried out on samples 3 mm thick at strains of 65 MPa and 156.9 MPa. According to the results of testing samples of materials on the test bench of Samara University creep curves were obtained. By determining the parameters of the approximation of the Arutyunyan kernel and the parameter included in the expression of nonlinear dependence of creep strain on the stress, it is possible to determine the value of the creep strain of the material for arbitrary values of stress and time. Comparison of the experimental and calculated creep curves for the AMg6M alloy confirms the validity of determination of the rheological characteristics of the tested material.
