Background. The COVID-19 epidemic in the Russian Federation, which began in March 2020, caused serious damage to health of the population and led to severe economic losses. By December 28, 2020, 3 078 035 cases of COVID-19 and 55 265 lethal outcomes were registered in the country. The population of all territorial subjects of the country is involved in the epidemic process of COVID-19. The severe epidemiological situation made it necessary to conduct an analysis to identify the factors that determine the high intensity of the epidemic process, as well as the population groups with the highest risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Aims to study the patterns of SARS-CoV-2 spread and the epidemiological features of the initial stage of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Russian Federation in 2020. Methods. An epidemiological analysis of the COVID-19 situation in the Russian Federation was carried out to determine the dynamics of morbidity, the gender proportion and age structure of patients, the proportion of hospitalized patients, the ratio of various forms of infection, the social and professional status of patients. Standard methods of descriptive statistics Microsoft Excel and STATISTICA 12.0 (StatSoft, USA) were used for statistical processing. The mean values were estimated with a 95% confidence interval [95% CI] (the exact Klopper Pearson method). Results.During the observation time (2020), several periods were identified in the dynamics of the new COVID-19 cases detection: the period of importation of SARS-CoV-2 and the increase in morbidity, the period of epidemic decline, the period of autumn growth, the period of sustained high incidence of COVID-19. It was found that people over 70 years of age are the group with the highest risk of infection and a more severe course of COVID-19. The presence of target contingents among social and professional groups of the population, which should include medical workers, retired person, employees of educational institutions, law enforcement agencies, transport, who require special attention and medical and social support, was shown. Conclusions. The analysis showed that the large-scale spread of COVID-19 requires in-depth epidemiological studies and the development of additional disease control measures, taking into account the dynamics of the incidence of this socially significant infection.

Introduction. The relevance of the research consists in expanding theoretical developments in the field of economic sociology, particularly, in prognosticating changes in the social and legal aspects of the professional status of trustees in bankruptcy in the context of the State Duma's consideration of the draft law No. 1172553-7 “On Amendments to the Federal Law ‘On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)’ and to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation”. Based on the results of the conducted research, the article identifies potential changes in the socio-professional status of a trustee in bankruptcy in the event the new law is adopted and enacted. Materials and Methods. The information base of the study included a secondary analysis of the array of statistical data on the results of insolvency proceedings in 2016-2020 in the Russian Federation (including the regional context), as well as a secondary analysis of the latest domestic legal framework governing the activities of the institution of bankruptcy. Results. The factors in the liquidation orientation of the institution of insolvency in the Russian Federation, as well as the trends in the increase in duration of insolvency proceedings with a minimum number of satisfied creditor claims have been identified; counterarguments have been presented regarding the alleged low efficiency of trustees in bankruptcy; arguments concerning the annual increase in the workload of trustees in bankruptcy have been statistically supported. A critical analysis of the draft law has been performed; the risks of decline in wages of trustees in bankruptcy in the event of adoption of the proposed changes in the structure of fixed and percentage-based remuneration have been identified. Legal gaps in the proposed point-rating system for the approval of trustees in bankruptcy have been identified. Discussion and Conclusion. The performed analysis made it possible to reveal the main trends in the results of insolvency proceedings, as well as to identify a number of critical shortcomings of the draft law No. 1172553-7 under consideration (change in the structure of remuneration for trustees in bankruptcy, as well as introduction of a rating system for evaluating their activities). The results of the study may be useful to scientists specializing in economics and law, as well as to experts in the field of insolvency.

Aim. To study the indicators of industrial injuries and occupational morbidity in the Russian Federation and the effectiveness of measures for the professional rehabilitation of injured workers in the context of the implementation of state programs aimed at enhancing the labor force and employment. Methods. The analysis of statistical indicators on the number of workers, insured and injured at work from 2007 to 2018 and the results of measures for victim rehabilitation between 2014 and 2019, using data from Rosstat, reporting form No. 7 social security and open data of the social insurance fund. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis. Results. The level of employment of disabled people planned by the Government of the Russian Federation by 2020 at the level of 40% in relation to people who are injured at work has not been achieved. At the same time, about 80% of the injured person had mild and moderate dysfunctions, about 50% were of working age. Against this background, employment at the level of 0.2 to 6.6% per year indicates the insufficient effectiveness of vocational rehabilitation. In most EU countries, where the return to work rate for work-injured people exceeds 90%, the employer and the insurer jointly participate in the professional rehabilitation of the injured, applying and financing all the necessary organizational and rehabilitation measures. In the Russian Federation, measures for occupational adaptation, maintenance of employment and the creation of special jobs are not subject to reimbursement from insurance funds, only educational events are financed. An employer who has caused harm to the health of work-injured is not economically interested in restoring his professional status. The authors encouraged to amend the regulations of the Russian Federation to ensure financing of the entire range of measures for vocational rehabilitation and the economic interest of employers in restoring the occupational status of work-injured people. Conclusion. Despite the favorable decreasing trend of industrial injuries and occupational morbidity at the enterprises of the Russian Federation over the past 12 years, the number of industrial injuries with permanent disability remains high, and the effectiveness of their vocational rehabilitation is low, which requires an expansion of the list of measures for vocational rehabilitation financed from the social insurance fund and ensuring the economic interest of employers in restoring the professional status of work-injured people.

The results of the work to create a complex of high-precision hardware for the unit of length reproduction and transferring carried out at “D. I. Mendeleyev Institute for Metrology (VNIIM)” are represented. This complex will serve as the basis for the further development of the reference base of the Russian Federation in the field of length measurements and will allow reproduction of the unit of length at two wavelengths of 633 nm and 532 nm, as well as measurements of the wavelength of laser sources in vacuum in the range from 500 to 1050 nm.

At the stage of assessing the level of development by the subjects of the Russian Federation, criteria were proposed, and index and integral indicators were used, which ensured comparability of the estimates obtained. At the end of the analysis, the regions were ranked and clustered according to the level of PPP development, which allowed to reveal the number and structure of leaders and outsiders.

The article clarifies the concept of “agricultural holding”, using an approach to assessing the size on the basis of the total revenue of all agricultural organizations within the agricultural holding. It has been revealed that only 100 of the total number of agricultural holdings that were identified can be attributed to large business entities. They comprise about 3% of agricultural organizations in the country, while their share in the proceeds is about 37%. A large share of agricultural holdings — large business subjects under the control of Russian entities operate in one, and under the control of foreign legal entities — in three or more regions of the Russian Federation. Vertical integration within the framework of large agricultural holdings with different schemes for including the stages of processing and sale of products produced in their agricultural organizations allows them to receive advantages. Strengthening the role of large business entities in agriculture puts on the agenda the issue of differentiating approaches to taxation and state support in agriculture, depending on the size of the companies’ agricultural businesses.
