The actual problem of the possibility of using the equations of state for the gas phase of natural gas at temperatures below 250 K is considered. To solve it, the compressibility coefficients of natural gas obtained experimentally with high accuracy are required. The technique was developed and experimental study was carried out of compressibility factor aiming expanding temperature range of the state equations GERG-2004 and AGA8-DC92. The proposed technique is based on the fact that to assess the applicability of the equation of state, it is sufficient to obtain the relative value of the compressibility coefficient and not to determine its absolute value. The technique does not require complex equipment and provides high accuracy. The technique was tested on nitrogen, argon, air and methane. Uncertainty of determination of the compressibility factor is not greater than 0.1 %. For two different compositions of natural gas, obtained experimental data were demonstrated that the equations of state GERG-2004 and AGA8-92DC provide uncertainty of the calculation of the compressibility coefficient within 0.1 % in the temperature range from 220 K to 250 K and pressure below 5 MPa.

Determination of leakage of fluid through the slotted annular gaps in dynamic studies leads to the discrepancy between the theoretical and experimental results. This discrepancy is particularly large for non-stationary processes in hydraulic systems. Dynamic characteristics of annular sealing cracks in a typical non-contact seals in stepwise (unit step) change of pressure are found. The velocity profile, the flow of leaks, the force of viscous friction on the channel wall are determined, the relaxation during the defined transition and the weighting function of the sealing gap are viewed.

The pre-form design in hydroforming process plays a key role in improving product quality, such as defect-free property and proper final product. This approach, however, leads not only to the increase of significant tool cost but also to the extended down-time of the production equipment. It is thus necessary to reduce time and man power through an effective method of pre-form design. In this paper, the equi-potential lines designed in the electric field are introduced to find an appropriate pre-form shape. The equi-potential lines generated between two conductors of different voltages show similar trends for minimum work paths between the undeformed shape and the deformed shape. Based on this similarity, the equi-potential lines obtained by arrangement of the initial and final shapes are utilized for the design of the pre-form, and then the finite element simulations are done for finding the forming pressure of each pre-form shape. Finally, the pre-form and its corresponding forming pressure with other parameters are used for training an artificial neural network. This trained neural network can be used for estimating the proper pre-form shape and forming pressure for a SUS304 tube inside an square die or other configurations of die (Geometrical shape) and tube (Diameter and thickness).

Fluid flow in hydraulic systems, fittings, and piping causes hydraulic losses due to the change of flow direction and friction in the fluid. The main consequence of the resulting losses is the increase in the overall pressure gradient of the circuit. The paper is focused on the investigation of valve losses and the determination of resistance coefficients, the definition of which depends on the valve type. Methods of determination are of two types, i.e. experimental methods and mathematical methods. In the case of experimental methods, the procedures prescribed by the standards and regulations must be respected. Mathematical methods are related to defining an appropriate mathematical model and numerical approach. Both methods are applied to the ball valve and model verification is performed at the same time. The output of the thesis is the methodology for determination of resistance coefficients of valves with other diameters and other flowing media based on verified mathematical modeling.

NASCIMENTO, A. S.ANNUAL PERFORMANCE OF A weighing lysimeter HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS WITH DIFFERENT READING  2 ABSTRACT The weighing lysimeter is recognized as the best technique to estimate evapotranspiration of crops, being adopted as standard reference method in the evaluation of other methods and to calibrate models to estimate evapotranspiration from different crops. In this sense, the objective of the present work is to analyze lysimeter performance through calibrations over a year and through estimates of measurement errors using hydraulic weighing lysimeters with two weighing systems: an automated system and another system with manual reading. The work was conducted in Recife, in the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco ( 8°01'05" south latitude, 34°56'48" west longitude, at an altitude of 6,4m).The methodology used in the lysimeter installation and calibration was adequate, resulting in a coefficient of determination of 0.99 in the calibration equation. The relationship between weight change and response to the load voltage and / or reading on the lysimeter cell gauge  is adequately described by a linear model with minimal hysteresis. The hydraulic weighing lysimeter, independent of the reading system showed excellent stability, sensitivity , resolution and accuracy over a year having detected variations in mass due to rain, irrigation and evapotranspiration , being suitable for the estimation of water demand. Keywords: reference evapotranspiration, manual reading, automatic reading.

The Hybrid Control Accommodation (HCA) strategy was proposed to improve the water-asset management of hydraulic systems by resource allocation and setpoint assignment. Hydraulic system dynamics are taken into account during the setpoint assignment step which consists in controlling gates for large operating conditions. For hydraulic systems subjected to strong disturbances, transfer delays are variable, thus different operating modes must be considered. A multimodelling method, associated to a selection technique of transfer delay, allowing for the determination of the number of models, is proposed. The simulation results on the first reach of the Neste canal show the effectiveness of the HCA strategy.

The generalized indicator of useful use, depending on the state of individual elements of oil-producing equipment, characterizes the ability of this equipment to perform its function during operation at optimal working time. The generalized indicator of the useful use of operational equipment can be described as the calculated sum of the indicator of the useful use of individual equipment elements. If, during operation, the oil-producing equipment retains its operability due to frequent replacement of its structural and non-structural elements, then such operational equipment is considered by users as outdated. Operating equipment can be divided into 6 categories according to the indicators of suitability. The article analyzes the state of useful use of equipment and, as a result, the total utility of equipment is calculated in accordance with the indicators of useful use by category, and graphs of changes in the state of useful use are constructed. Based on the study of the graphs of the useful use of equipment, it was proposed to conduct an analysis in the following areas: • Evaluation of the design and technological perfection of the equipment by users according to important new parameters. • Determination of equipment compliance with wear standards during operation. Keywords: structural element, wear theory, the usefulness of jam, categories, schedule of changes, reliability.
