Currently there are many studies which deal with the impact of the Internet and Internet technology-based tools on organizations. Most of them are focused on such issues as the opportunities which have emerged with the development of the digital economy, possible new business models, establishing new kind of relations with customers, and security aspects. The impact of Internet technology-based tools on the internal work environment of organizations is an issue which is relatively rarely analyzed. Although more and more publications concerning this field are being released, they are only focused to a small degree on the challenges connected with the utilization, and, particularly, the misuse, of Internet technology-based tools in the workplace. Thus, this article is an attempt to deal with this issue in a more holistic way.

An IS professional’s ability to perform in his or her role is vital to the utilisation of information systems within an organisation. The introduction of e-commerce has opened a new set of challenges for the IS professionals who are most frequently tasked with developing e-commerce solutions. However, they often do not have the competencies required to successfully execute these e-commerce projects. This competency deficit raises an important question: to what extent have the competency requirements of IS professionals changed because of the introduction of e-commerce? Furthermore, how do IS professionals managed the changes in their work environment due to the implementation of e-commerce in their organisations? Fifteen IS professionals, who are employed in businesses implementing or maintaining e-commerce strategies, were interviewed. The results indicate that the implementation of e-commerce in organisations has introduced three main areas of change to their internal work environment: (a) business changes – the perceptions of senior managers on their current role, (b) project changes – the realization that IS projects have to be managed differently and finally (c) competency changes – the need to acquire new skills and knowledge. As a consequence to these changes, the IS professional developed the following coping skills: (a) reframing – the changing of mental models that determine how we make sense of the world and how we take action based on these models, (b) retooling – the restructuring and reorganising of IS processes, especially around project management and (c) reskilling – the learning of new competencies in the e-commerce environment.

In order to measure this, the researcher formulated four hypotheses that aimed at measuring the statistical relationship between the variables of the study. It was assumed that there is a statistically significant relationship between working conditions and retention of health competencies at Tarif General Hospital. There is a statistically significant relation between compensation and retention of health competencies in Tarif General Hospital. There is a statistically significant relation between the relationship with colleagues and management and retention of health competencies at Tarif General Hospital and the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the professional growth and retention of health competencies at Tarif General Hospital. The importance of this study stems from the fact that it deals with a very important subject, which is the internal work environment of Tarif General Hospital. In addition, the importance of this study stems from the fact that it aims to improve the health work and its quality.  In order to achieve the study goals, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach. The researcher used the questionnaire as the study tool. The study population comprised all the medical staff at Turaif General Hospital. Questionnaires were distributed to the entire study sample that consisted of (220) individuals. The number of questionnaires valid for study was (183) questionnaires. The research findings were as follows: the participants' estimate of the work circumstances dimension was high (3.64), the participants' estimate of the compensation dimension was moderate (3.32), the participants' estimate of the relationship with colleagues dimension was high (3.62), the participants' estimate of the professional growth dimension was weak (2.39), and the participants' estimate of medical competencies retenion level was intermediate (2.75). ABSTRACT  Environmental factors that can affect employee work motivation are reliable, work environment factors and external work environment factors. Internal working environment factors include infrastructure, funding sources, control or supervision, procedures, supervision, working conditions, work climate and welfare. While the external work environment factors, including: science and technology, global environment, law, marketing, information, products and services / services. Based on multiple linear regression analysis it is known that internal work environment variables have a dominant influence on employee work motivation, it is seen from the value of multiple linear regression contribution and beta value of 0.424 one unit. Results calculation of multiple correlation coefficient of 0.714 this means that between the internal work environment and work simultaneously have a positive relationship to employee motivation. Coefficient of determination doubled (R2) that is equal to 0,510 which means that existence of rise and fall of work motivation of employees can be explained by internal work and work environment simultaneously equal to 51% and the remaining 49% explained other variables not examined in this research model. Keyword                     : Internal Working Environment, Work and Work MotivationCorrespondence to        : [email protected],[email protected] ABSTRAKFaktor lingkungan yang dapat mempengaruhi motivasi kerja karyawan adalah faktor lingkungan kerja yang dapat diandalkan dan faktor lingkungan kerja eksternal.

Abstract Objectives: The area of regenerative work is still close to unexplored. The aim was to explore the possibility for employees to gain energy at work. Methods: Questionnaire to all employees (n = 599) from different professions in public and private primary health care centers in one health care district in Sweden. The questionnaire, which had a salutogenic perspective, included information on self-rated health, psychosocial work environment and experiences, recovery, social climate, and energy. Having an energy-building experience was defined by a positive response to two combined questions regarding energy at work. Analyses were performed with bivariate correlation and multiple logistic regression. Results: The response rate was 84%. Health and energy correlated positively (r = 0.54). In total, 44.5% of the employees reported having an energy-building experience. Predictors for having an energy-building experience were recovery [positive odds ratio (POR) = 2.78], autonomy (POR = 2.26), positive workplace characteristics (POR = 2.09), and internal work experiences (POR = 1.88). Conclusions: The results support the hypothesis that it is possible to gain energy at work, an area that is still close to unexplored. There is a high correlation between energy and health. Employees’ energy-building experiences relate to well-being at work and correlates to recovery, autonomy, positive workplace characteristics, and positive internal work experiences. This knowledge can help in improving future work environment development.
